  • What's up guys, today I've got a bit of a more chill and talkative video! Finally got around to assembling my SIMPLIFIED KA24DE intake manifold. With this being done the motor is pretty much ready to go back into the car! More videos coming soon! Stay tuned for my Turbo KA 240sx!
On another note, I got some lavalier mics and wanted to try a "mic'd up" style video to capture my commentary when working on my motor lol. Do you guys prefer this style video or do you like my usual mix of music, information and some cinematic clips. Let me know what you think! :)

You could have installed the bottom portion of the intake manifold first, and then the plenum afterwards, as this would give you more room to work with the hoses and PCV system. Good stuff tho

Can you do a vid on where all the harness plugs into in the bay? Just picked a shell and I'm almost done piecing together the ka to drop in 🙏

great video man, caint way to see this thing finished. two questions for you, do you know how much hp the isr turbo can handle (im deciding between that or the tomei arms one). and do you think taking engine apart and taking it to the machine shop is necessary? i was just looking at those two turbo kits and getting aftermarket pistons/rods/cams, but not sure if machining it all should be necessary as well

If you want reliable power yes, spend the extra money to have supporting mods for your turbo. If you have Pistons cams rods etc etc you’ll be able to turn up the psi of the turbo and have more fun while being reliable :)

This is true ^ with a stock KA block you would really be able to push past like 9/10 PSI on pump without bringing risk to your piston rings. On E85 I’ve seen people run a bit higher boost and more power but of course they still had to change their fueling and tune etc. I did what I believe to be the minimum when prepping a KA for boost, just basic machine work and pistons/rods/rings, everything else has been refreshed and is still OEM. I had my rings gapped to accept 13-18 PSI.
I’ve also heard the ISR turbo to withstand upwards of 380whp
