    For those using lighter mics and the boom arm won't stay in position, just remove one of the springs from both top and bottom arms, and BAM! Problem solved!!

    Hello i want to get this with razer sieren mini. Is that too light and what can i do to make it not have the problem of the mic going up. Some people are saying to remove springs but idk if you can put it back and I dont really want to mess with it. Is there another fix?>

    I had some specific needs which this boom arm met perfectly, although I spring for this boom arm's big brother, the T30. It's got an extra 10 inches of total reach. It has been perfect for me for the last few weeks. It's silent when moving it, and I am only using it with a Behringer XM8500 mic. I've not needed it to go the full reach, so I can't validate the extension springback issue you mentioned with this mic.

    I have a Blue Yeti from 2016. I got the T30 today and the threading from the adapter doesn't lock tight with my Blue Yeti. I heard that people wrap electric tape on the adapter to get that adapter snug.

    Can someone tell me if the end piece, or top piece idk what to call it, will support the weight of the blue yeti being in a horizontal position? My old boom arm could not and the mic would sag down.
    Since my old one broke and I'm in need of a new one I'd like to know please.
    Thanks.

    I was about to pull the trigger in the buy of one Tonor T20 and just had saw about the behavior with lightweight mics. I'll use it with a ATR-2100x USB which has only 268gr/9.5oz. Too light for this boom arm, right? :/ Thank you

    • @Wild4
      @Wild4  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That might be a little light yes. What I would recommend if you do buy it and have trouble adjusting it is to use some sort of ballast to weigh it down. Maybe a length of chain or some heavy magnets or something. Hope this helps thanks for watching!

    I'm currently using the Shure SM7B in combination with a Halo shadow reflection screen. The combo of both seems a little bit too heavy for the Rode PSA1 boom arm I have. I'm guessing the combo is too heavy for any type of boom arm (given the limits of those, and... well... gravity), but I was wondering if you have any tips for better loading capacity boom arms?
    (Combined weight of the Shure and the reflection screen adds up to about 2,61 kg / 5,19 lb total.)

    Damn shame I can't get this shipped to Australia. Only options I currently have for Blue Yeti is from Blue or Rode that will support the Yeti.
    The only option is to use a shipping forwarder and that works out to about A$100. At that cost, I might as well get the Rode PSA1 for a few dollars more.

    Are you able to clamp the base upside-down? Or even to a vertical platform? Can you move the arm if they were mounted like so? My desk has drawers so it can't be clamped normally.

    • @nosbig98
      @nosbig98 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can't be clamped upside-down, and it can't be mounted vertically. I had the same problem you have; my desk has drawers, and the lip on the edge is too narrow for clamping anything. However, I have a custom-built hutch that was added to this desk. It's been great for acting as a lighting/audio grid. I have the arm clamped to the first shelf up and to my right, so it's completely out of the way when I am not using it, but it is easy to bring down to where I need it.
