Horizon: Call of the Mountain was supposed to be PSVR2's flagship, but really, it's GT7. It's an incredible experience, and more importantly, tons of fun.

This game is amazing in vr. There's always a signature look in vr that's less bright and a bit more grainy than a television, but psvr2 seems to make it alot less noticeable than most headsets. It's a must have for any vr lovers.

This is my first vr experience and I’ve yet to even care about trying other vr games really.. it’s so fun just doing qualifying laps.. learning the track.. trying to optimize every corner and whatnot

Love how you can see the eye tracking workin hard at the end there with the foveated rendering. The lap times over to the right keep going pixelated when he looks away, pretty cool.
Interestingly, it's also a glimpse of the past; it's essentially *identical* to the VR experience we've been having for years in GT Sport on the PSVR1. There are no design changes, for example, but rather the hardware limitations they had to design *around* the PS4 are no longer there. So now, for example, you can have liveries on your car when you race in VR. You also still can't see things like FL & pit/track locations of other cars just like in GT Sport. Same exact design, just upgraded hardware is all (think DVD to Blu-Ray).
I've had my headset for a week, but have been putting this one off because setting up the steering wheel and all that is a slog, but after loving RE Village, Horizon, Star Wars and Light Brigade, I'm so excited to jump into this tonight for the first time.

Xbox really needs to get into VR. Forza and Flight Simulator in VR would be amazing. Also, if 2 out of the 3 console companies had headsets, a lot more developers would decide to make VR games, and competition would cause VR games to improve at a faster rate.
But why does Microsoft need to load anything on their Xbox console flagship to be VR friendly when they already provide this experience on high-end PCs? Flight Simulator is already available in VR.
VR has been used for therapy uses, so I'm sure this can help you since you're actually safe while still getting your brain used to a fast moving vehicle with other vehicles
Have a full racing sim rig setup outfitted with Fanatec, now just need a second PS5 to use with my PS VR2 & GT7 on it. PS: The PS VR2 is awesome! So much better than the first PS VR system & worth the money IMO.
The best sim feature is getting to race online now, against up to 16 real people. Gran Turismo Sport on PSVR1 y had VR but you could only race 1v1 against Ai so nothing new shown here… at least for me, a competitive racer.

Autodrome Lago Maggiore in France, that track is my fav in VR. So much elevation change, and the U turn up the side of the hill is so fun in VR. Give it a go! Also, pro tip: Shove a sponge between the back of your hand and the loop of the Sense controllers for perfect knuckle grips.
Handbrake animation? How often are you pulling the handbrake while driving? Not sure this guy knows how to drive. Rally is the the only races where it might be useful.

@@Greydawg GT Sport doesn't compare. It was graphically muddled. You were stuck playing the arcade portion of the game and could only play time trials or against one car, with some of the worst AI I've ever seen. GT7 in VR is almost a night and day difference to GT Sport in VR.

No VR racing sim utilizes full VR interactivity. Nobody’s wants to use their controller to flip a switch, then put the controller down and go back to grabbing their wheel or shifter. It’s completely impractical.

The grainy effect is pretty pronounced in PSVR2, not so much on my HP reverb 2 or Quest 2.
