  • Here we are working on the 2008 Silverado 3500 HD Duramax 6.6 with Allison. This will carry over to almost all 1500, 2500 HD and 3500 Hd 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013. This will also include GMC Sierra 2500 1500 and 3500 HD. The rear window motor runs but it never opens. It’s a couples hours of work and less than $150 bucks. You’ll need a few tools, some patience and an AC delco part. #afflink, #affiliate
Here is the GM part you’ll need to replace on the Zahn:

    Torx set:

    Body panel removal kit:

Socket set cheap and works well:

My 08 Duramax now has 334,850+ miles. Just now starting to have a few, none engine related thankfully, issues. 😅

Great information. I need to do exactly that on a Chevy pickup.

Obviously the tightness of that cable space varies, cuz I swear I could hardly get mine out without three guys pulling on it. It looks like yours had much more space.

Thanks for the video, just got finished and it was super helpful. But that rear seat is a real PITA when you’re by yourself. 🤣🤣🤣

Nice video. Very informative. My son has a 2011 Silverado. His back slider tries to open when you hit the switch. But won't. You could probably slide it open by hand with alot of force. I don't want to do that. Do you think the cable is binded or the motors bad? Thank you!!

How about just dabbing some epoxy or jb weld where the cable meets the plastic piece 🤷🏼 because I for sure am not spending 100 to fix that. And I’m not gonna spend 2 hours doing it. I will find another way lol
