GM absolutely made cruise control standard in the 2025 chevys because of Andre. 😂
Isn't Andre's truck a 2023? So they waited until 2025 for Andre? Not likely
@@kanenmoffett9539they are saying bcuz of the complaints.
I dunno, my 2017 work truck has cruise control. And that was standard. No idea why it wasn't on Andre's truck... Definitely a fail.
I bet the 2025 Colorado and Canyon will NOT come standard with cruise control, its only on the full sized is my guess.
@@RossMalagarie makes sense. GM wants to keep the smaller Trucks cheap.
1500 needs a bigger gas tank than 24 gallons.
Yes and lifters that are not made out of butter.
Agreed. Should be 30 gal standard
Yes 🙌 although I may put out a video today. Almost got 800 miles in my LZ0 1500
@darens440 a guy stopped by my house and vented about his new truck issues, while asking if I wanted to sell my 96 k1500. Nope😂
@darens440 get rid of afm/dfm
Need to get rid of cylinder deactivation
This is a fact. Too much added complexity and too little reliability.
It's easily removed with a programmer
No, need the lifters sorted out.
@mattlimberg5763 they've changed the lifters 2x. Still the same issues
If you want to keep v8s then you also need to live with cylinder deactivation. Or throw out the EPA, good luck with that. The technology works also, it really isn’t a common failure point.
Trailer brake controllers should be standard on ALL trucks. Come on. For that much money.
All for only $99k
Lmao. No shit right.
Starting at
Don't fret through, they'll have a stripped down work truck version with zero frills for only $69,995!
Hahahhahahahah
@@williamabaker12 -- From what I've been seeing you're not far off on that price.
I’d like the 2025 Z71 Tahoe with the LZ0 in cypress gray. Might put out a video on my 1500 LZ0 today. Almost got 800 miles to this tank.
Before they pointed it out I saw the "cruise control" and started laughing. I feel somewhat bad for Andre😂
3.0 duramax need to go in the colorado
As nice as it would be the issue would be fitment.
@@joeleaton607 it already had a 3.6L in it, come on..... they can't figure it out...

Lost it at Cruise Control standard🤣
A LITTLE too late for Andre😂
Case, dont put the micro in the pocket.
This is not a matter of who can afford these. Its a matter of why should we pay this much.
GM needs to make the front and rear electronic lockers a stand alone option for all 4x4 Silverados.
Literally 99% of buyers will never need nor use front and rear lockers lol
@@NWI_Steel Almost all trucks now days are 4x4 and 99% of buyers don't need or use that. So, if you're going to offer 4x4 at least make sure it's true 4 wheel drive by giving people the locking diffs.....rear and front.
The G80 locker is why I've been a Chevy owner for decades!
the 2.7 uses the camshaft for cylinder deactivation, does not have the 5,3 and 6.2 lifter issues
They need to improve the seat comfort!!
I did the research and chose the titan pro4x 5.6 litre v=8 drives nice
Need a tailgate open warning light
Did Andre find anyone who can afford the new truck ?
Toys for the wealthy now.
8,000,000 millionaires are keeping the auto sector moving. 20% of all transactions are done in cash. Lots of ppl have the $.

I do wish and probably will never happen again but a single cab versions again
Did all the manufacturers really checked what the customers want? I don’t think
I like that they're adding more trim levels to the Electric Silverado. I'm waiting for a 2 door version that will fit into my garage and budget with a bi-directional charge port that can back up the power in my house. A solar bed cover would be the cherry on top.
New electric silverado is sick! No, I mean it's sick as in fugly! At least the Ram EV pickups looks like real pickups, both the Ram REV and Ramcharger. Even more so than the Ford. Of course I realize that's not important to everyone.
@@davidhenson6337Aww princess, can't be seen in a none pretty truck, can we?
@@TroySavary What kind of douche bag replies with something like that? Dude grow up.
For the cost of these trucks, they better come with 5 year bumper to bumper warranties and 10 year powertrain.
15 year b-to-b for these prices!
Life time
Might be my next truck.
I'm not going to those V6TT or I6TT
The fact thay media like TFL, isnt calling our manufacturers for their prices, is a disservice to your fans. And without your fans TFL is nothing. You have a voice we don't.
I believe they have multiple times from what I've viewed
I can’t believe they are getting rid of dark ash metallic!!! My 22 Trailboss has that color, and I love it..
The Universal Vehicle Module has customer access upfitter harnesses. Similar to Ford upfitter options
Good video Andre. Hey brother where’s David?? Miss him and tumbleweed ranch.
Too bad, Glacier Blue was one of my favorite GM colors. But I'm sure Hoovie is ecstatic for the return of Riptide Blue.
Glacier blue was badass, I hate that they removed it.
You did not mention the fact that the 2500 trail boss will not come with the longer struts that it has on the 1500 trail boss . So that means no 1 1/2 inch lift . I guess they don’t want it compete with the ZR2 . It really means that price wise you are better off just getting the Z71 financially and suspension wise and saving the almost 4k as an extra trim .
Case said on options “you can add a hitch…” does that not come standard on the 99k ev? I looked all over the gm ev website and didn’t see anything saying 2” receiver.
Any sign of adaptive cruise and super cruise in lower trim?
Will they have gas particulate filters?
On the. 5.3 ecotec3 V8 it says “available” dynamic fuel management. Hopefully meaning it’s optional. The 6.2 doesn’t have that wording
I see a 2500HD with KO3's yesterday. New at a dealer in Miami. I was shocked. I verified on window sticker
Same trucks … over all … damm, love tfl thanks
So to summarize, there are no changes except for a few minor color options in the last year (2025) of the current generation Silverado. I'd like to hear more about the new Silverado generation coming in 26 including engines.
The cruise control should have been standard from the beginning, like a/c should never be an option anymore
99 bottles of beer on the wall , that’s how many I’d have to drink, and still not send that much on a truck!
Give me the 9C1 cop package, Z7X 2" Suspension lift package and NC7 Emissions Overide please....
They should put some padding in the seats
correct my forklift has a better seat
They should have never gotten rid of the stack headlight design, the new one looks like it has headlights off of a chevy equinox or some boring car. Plus the stacked headlights were the design language for years and years
But they are not the "design language" now. Neither are tail fins for cars or horse and buggy rigs for the interstates. Some things do change over time.
Who cares when nobody can afford one?
The people who can afford one want to know.
get your money up
I can afford one but didn't get here by waisting it on a vehicle.

@@ironcladranchandforge7292 Thank you sir. 👍
Prices way ahead of the money
Well that still sucks they still aren’t going to do a dual transfer case for the max towing package still.
Wonder if the regular cab pro models will get the newer interior...
GM says let’s give them a zr2 with the same engine that we’ve used for years they’re dumb enough to buy it
My 2024 Silverado 2500 came with K03 tires and 20" wheels
1500 needs bigger gas tank option . Getting a new truck in few months . Probably a Ram , maybe Chevy if they put in a bigger tank . I like that 6.2 .
My guess about the new GM V8 is it will be sub 300 cubic inches. Think 265,283 etc
No, in fact it may get bigger but less available. They could use a 6.6 gas with an aluminum block...
Smaller engine, lots more money. It's like paying a second mortgage to buy a truck. No thanks!!
My 4.8l is 289 cubic inches. Has 250,000 01 sierra.
I doubt it. The 5.3 is already just adequate and there are fewer and fewer changes they could make to boost power and fuel economy. The only thing they have left is increasing compression.
@@hochhaul -- Don't they still make the 5.7L?
There was a rumor that the 1500s could get a bigger screen. Did you guys see an option for that?
Put a bigger fuel tank in the truck GM!!!
I have plenty of money and a decent job, but still can't afford a new truck or most cars. Cars, house notes, and insurance takes most of my money. This shit is at a breaking point!!!
I had it with leather interior I slip n slide. Call me strange but my favorite trims with Chevy is the RWD Custom with the Dark Essential Package. The cloth interior "bench" seat is my favorite - ditto in the STX XL F-150 - I hate consoles. Hands down the best looking F-150 is the STX crew or quad. Sitting on 20" wheels - Gimme AC, cruise control, and power windows and you can keep the rest. Ditto for the Chevy Custom. Elegant in its simplicity. However at 69 yrs of age I need a power adjustable seat with lumbar. That is the only reason I am now favoring chevy over ford. p.s. I have a 2005 Reg Cab Dodge 1500 Ram Daytona in Tangerine Pearl. 5.7 Hemi - 153,000K with absolutely no quit, I love that motor.
Bathing still optional at TFL!
Riptide is coming back?! I loved Riptide/Bermuda blue on gmt 800s
Hoovie is definitely buying one.
You can look at the actual Order Guide if ya want to know what the new trims do for the EV.
I questioned how the 2.7 would do pulling a construction trailer with the excess wind that makes them tough even for the 5.3. If you plan on pulling anything of any size with these engines don’t buy them ! If you just want to drive around town with maybe a gas can in the box fine ! $55,000 for the plan Jane model no thank you. These should be marked down to $35,000 to start. Wake up buyers !
Crazy you just don’t have a choice for a more aggressive gear ratio. 3.73 should be standard for zr2 IMO
It's crazy to me that cruise control is still not 100% standard on Chevys when on a lot of other manufacturers adaptive cruise control is standard for all cars regardless of how low and cheap the car is
Its crazy how people say they want to pick and chose the level of technology their vehicle gets until they actually get to pick and choose ans then they eschew the manufacturer for giving them a choice
@@Heatherder sure that mattered when it was all hardware based. But everything is software base now. It's literally programming
GM needs updated Powertrains, they’re getting left in the dust
For 2027 maybe lifters that last past 120000 miles and transmission that make it past 130000. Speaking from 2014 Silverado experience owned brand new maintained meticulously.
Not really set on the Turbomax on the 1500 like that have inline 6 diesel shame they don't have inline gas engines glad see the 5.3 still there
Defintely need to bring back the iconic 350 without cylinder deactivation. 5.3 has been the same power for 10 years.
Bring back an inferior engine? Why?
@@Heatherder -- "inferior engine"? What are you smoking?
Nothing wrong with that. GM’s 5.3l V8 is way more reliable than Toyotas poor excuse of a “V8”. They built boat anchors.
@@COChevyTrainMan1990 the 5.7 liter v8 that was in the Tundra was actually a GM engine. They sold the rights to Toyota
@@peterchauvin7034
Get your facts straight. I did some research on the internet and found this:
Chevrolet never did. Toyota did ask GM, in the 1990s, to supply it the 350/5.7 for use in the then-new T100, but GM basically said no because supply was short.
Also, this concludes that it was never in the Tundra.
And:
The Toyota V8 is an overhead cam (OHC) engine, like practically all other engines today. The GM (Chevrolet) is an overhead valve (OHV) engine.
In conclusion, Chevrolet never sold the 5.7L small block engine to Toyota or any other company. It was strictly for GM. Why would GM sell the greatest and most reliable engine ever produced in the truck industry to Toyota? That makes no sense whatsoever. Toyota always makes really terrible cars and trucks.
So some color changes….cool
Honestly GM needs to do an actual update to their engines. They have the 2nd and 4th (sometimes 3rd) best selling full size trucks in the US. Their v8 engines have essentially been the same since 2009. Sure they increase in power or maybe make it more efficient. I mean RAM has gone to 6 cylinders. I'm not saying go to 6 cylinder engines. But hybridize the v8 engines. Make a smaller displacement engine like a 5.0 pushrod not DOHC. Then hybridize it to make around 500 hp and 500 lb ft of tq. Then add in the 6.2 where it can make 700 hp 700 lb ft of tq.
Another thing is that they need to make features like adaptive cruise control standard. Especially when they have whats arguably the best hands free driving system on the market, which is Super Cruise. They can make adaptive cruise control standard. It just seems like RAM is more willing to try something new while GM is staying stagnant.
GM sells the most trucks for the last 5 years straight. GM offers the most configurations, options, 2 different looks in the truck segment. People want good powertrains that are reliable and get the job done they don’t care about 0-60 times. They want user friendly and multiple configuration options. That’s why GM has sold the most trucks for years and continues to do so. Toyota tried the new engine method and failed miserably
@@Billybob50119
What does that have to do with anything? Did I not say "2nd and 4th (sometimes 3rd)"? Is it not a fact that the Silverado places 2nd in sales? Is it not a fact that that the Sierra typically takes 4th but edges RAM out every so often? CoMmOn SeNsE bEfOrE fAcTs. Where did I state that GM as a whole never sells more trucks then Ford? Where? Oh wait, if you would have used common sense, maybe you would notice that it wasn't mentioned. I still stated facts, it's not like I lied.
Most reliable? Last I checked depending on who you look at. The Tundra still leads in reliability, if not its tied with the Silverado. Also the only engine that's keeping the Silverado relevant when it comes to reliability is the 2.7t. If it wasn't for that the Silverado would be lower on the list. Typically the 2.7t is having less issues with the lifters than either of the V8 counterparts. At least Toyota acknowledges problems with the powertrain. What sort of recall has GM done for the DFM and AFM? Want to know what would fix that issue? A hybrid system where they wouldn't have to use that asinine tech that keeps causing problems with lifters.
@@99-Zulu o you’re going off just a nameplate? 🤣 good job. GM doesn’t care at all if they sell more of a certain nameplate they care they sell the most trucks as an Auto company. Ford just makes excuses since they can’t and the spread is getting more every quarter
@@Billybob50119
It's still facts. Whether you like it or not its still facts. Who's using feelings now? Who's a little sensitive that I didn't say GM sells more trucks then Ford? Facts is still facts.
@@99-Zulu whatever makes you feel better 😘
My ideal configuration would be a 1500 with the 6.6 gas from the HD. Larger gas tank from the HD, NHT max towing package, and just an LT trim level. I dont want to drive around a 2500 all the time for infrequent towing but i wont put up with garbage lifters and tiny gas tanks.
You say garbage but the actual failure rate is like less than 1%
@darens440 Have you considered a Nissan Titan XD? That might be closer to what you described!
@@Heatherder It's gotta be a lot higher than that just looking at forums, vehicles for sale listing that work has already been done, ect. No gas savings is worth a massive engine repair at some point. GM had it right in 2006 with the 3rd gen LS V8s. Super reliable. and @omamartinez912 i wouldn't do the Titan because it will be discontinued and i love how easy it is to get parts for GM stuff even 10+ years later. Maybe an F150 if i didnt go for a GM.
Why are they dumping the 10 speed Tran on most configurations and making it an option? I thought the 10 speed was a better unit and didn’t suffer from shudder and surging and really low speeds and downshifts?
Andre in a way I am living vicariously through your experience with the Colorado Trail Boss. Is it your plan to go back to full size pickup? I am the same size as you. Do you miss the full size truck as far as comfort? Let us know. BTW: on the same page as "standardizing equipment" - Ford really needs to provide a "power seat option" on the STX F-150 trim.
Yes, Andre is looking to get into a full-size truck next year.
I went from a Silverado to a Nissan Frontier and I miss the comfort of a full size. One of your legs is always rubbing up against something in a midsize truck.

I'd rather they include the 5.3 in the 1500 Custom trim level instead of only 4 cylinder engines. That's a truck I would buy. I don't need or even want all that superfluous stuff they put on the other trim levels.
ACC is NOT needed on vehicles. If you buy and drive any vehicle, you have a responsibility to NOT BE LAZY and PAY ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING while driving. Technology does not make a person a better driver. You are either a good driver or not. No in between exists.

I don't believe the next gen V8s show up until 2028 in GM, and that's in the Corvette, so it may be a while before you see ones in the trucks. Probably just updates here and there.

If so I would wonder how you would ever get to test drive or revieve ... warranty work ...mabe dealerships will only be warranty work ? They want to stop the raised prices by dealerships and by selling straight to the consumer they will make the vehicle when ordered and save money all around. Not sure how that will go for them
