My fav OWB configuration uses the new belt slide mounted directly to the shell w/thumb release. Works great!

I bought the Shapeshift paddle holster for my Sig p365xl and absolutely loved it. The excitement was such that I thought, "I'll purchase shells for my other favorite guns!" I went online and looked for gun #1, the Springfield Armory Echelon. That's a no-go. They don't make it. SO, I looked up gun #2: The Beretta PX4 Compact. Annnnnd THAT was a no-go. They don't make it. So, apparently Alien Gear Shapeshift doesn't "Do it all".

Alien Gear is awesome. They really are a premier holster company these days. They set the benchmark for a lot of different types of holsters.

Don’t quite understand the problems some have with
Alien Gear. I have holster for OWB/IWB 43X/48/1911. Work just fine. Junk it ain’t.

Unless I’m doing something wrong my gun fits fine until I tighten up my belt. When I tighten belt it bends holster.

Would I need a whole new shell if I wanted to carry with the belt slide on my left side?

Shell is not an issue. But, backing plate will have to be R or L hand side. and few other little thingies.....
I'm not impressed with this "All in one" holster. Just like any other "tool". Jack of all trades, master of none. It is OK, but definitely not grate holster. I will look for something else. Hope this answer your question.

@@miloradpudja1501 I don't mind the 3.5 for all of my full sized guns. I only use the appendix carry out of this set. for my 43x clone. I like them, however before AG I was stuffing a gun in my pants.

I had one of the Alien Gear hybrid holsters like the one in the top left picture on the box & I had to send it back.
It just didn't fit me at all.
Way too much material on the back, but I generally hate hybrid holsters anyway.

I'm just an oddball, I guess. It seems that every time I buy a firearm and consider it for carry, by the time I set up the pistol to my liking, there's never an option for that holster.

Agreed, I have an Olight Baldr Pro on my XDM 10mm. No such luck for any options. I’ve had to have a custom kydex and leather shoulder holster made.
