I mean that's fair seeing that would take away time from animating other things. Also it wouldn't make sense seeing he is working for talon who wouldn't be sending in their troops shirtless lol.
Hot take but I think he looks better with the shirt on, the black gives a nice contrast to the orange accents as opposed to skin color
They didn't even draw the tattoos near his neck and I can't blame em. They did an amazing job anyway lol

This is so Lore accurate I love it the fact that reaper and sombra Immediately Went to push the back line and left their tank by themselves then blame the failure of the mission on him They captured the very essence of dps players
forgot to mention the tank ran off the ahead and left the team to fend for themselves

the subtlety of them basically showing the new sombra rework is amazing
Reaper constantly asking Sombra "Can I shoot him now?" while Mauga breaks things (seemingly) just for fun somehow makes SOMBRA of all people look like the only rational adult on the team...
But wouldn't you know it, our big wrecker has a sharp head on his shoulders. I think Sombra can respect a fellow troll.

I can see why Baptiste was always the voice of reason for Mauga. That guy really knows how to keep insanity controlled. Honestly tho I love Mauga’s character and personality, the loose canon gig is just hilarious and the fact he’s actually deceptively smart is even better in my opinion.

Weve had enough big dumb brutes but he uses that as a front and is incredibly tactical and usually two steps ahead they really made a character i deeply enjoy and i cant way to play him more and see what else they got in store for him in the lore

Like a good tank, he goes charging in head-first NOT because he's stupid, but because he has a plan. a good one.
I love how they set that up so it looks like he's doing dumb things, and then hindsight comes in and he's a genius.

I'm shocked that this short really showed he's not just all about going full gun blazing with no care to the actual goal but nope he thought ahead shot the satellite to stop the ship from sending a distress signal and got what they came for while doing exactly what he wanted which was have some fun.

@@CopShowGuyThat might slightly be hinted as the truth at the beginning. Mauga wasn't immediately ready to disembark despite Sombra, the pilot, jumping out. So he was doing something in the airship, possibly watching for satellite dishes. Which is why he was surprised and pleased after finding and shooting out one that wasn't destroyed. This is why he tried to suggest something new before getting interrupted by the robots coming to life.
I love how they talked about how he’s actually very strategic and this short showed it off well

The fact that they actually changed Sombra’s translocator in the lore is just so funny to me.
I like to think they wanted the Translocalisator to just be broken to make Sombra reasonably furious and not make it too easy, but then they realized it could be used as a reference to the rework lol
I like how in cinematics reaper looks like he has slug shotguns which is far from the truth in the actual game 😅.
Shoulda made Slugs his alternate fire

@grangergonzalez9821 I think his shotguns should be like AA-12S the qlt fire being slugs with normal fire being explosive. Make it crit aswell while you're at it with maybe 50M fall off distance.
It's gonna mess with your brain having a secondary fire on Reaper that dont necessarily shoots only the left gun.
I like how reaper calls the robots dead in the beginning while sombra says theyre deactivated

Reaper might look at death differently then other humans as he can't really die and might see it as a state that can be reversed back into living.

(I mean in his demeanor and 'annoying' of the other teammates, not in gameplay, given that they both love their friends, and annoy them with their antics)
Difference is, Mauga is an incredible tactician and a far better planner than Rein, but Rein is a more protective and loyal ally
Mauga is just young rein without the consequence of losing an eye
I love that at BlizzCon and in the short they make Mauga a huge mountain of a man but also supposed to be clever and tactical, I wish that was able to come across in the gameplay, we'll see on release...
I mean we could really look into it. His ultimate is a trap, popping it at a opportune time to cage his victims. His rush is not only a good way to reposition but also good at pushing back opponents. You could even argue his guns firing takes some tactical skill to pull off at least with how they describe it

To be fair, tactility in overwatch is a given.
There is no character that can just go in guns blazing with no consequences, except for reaper. Making him smart is actually a funny lil framing device for why you can't play him in-game like a mindless minigun wielding maniac

And the only way for him to self heal is by hitting the most pellets. So the ideal strat would be to just go in guns blazing, and that's very much so the fantasy that reaper mains tend to live
Now Sombra feels what Reaper felt during "Infiltration".

Yet he simultaneously embodies the good tanks because he wasnt just rushing in for the sake of it or be a distraction. A good tank always charges in there with incentive and a plan. Not for the sake of it. When the rush in, they either intend to save you, or take out some people.

As far as the rest of the world is concerned, the ship suffered more damage than expected in Gothenburg and sank with all bots lost at sea. With everything going on in the Overwatch world I doubt Null Sector would spare time to salvage the ship soon enough to recover the security footage.
