    This has come at the perfect time because I’ve been thinking about jersey dresses! I have the kielo pattern but put it away for summer not even thinking it could be an autumn/winter one! Might have to give the long sleeves version a go! 👍🏼

    Lovely dresses! I love the Molly top too and bought the City break book to get it. I had to grade the dress in below the waist as found it came quite wide. I might try it again in a heavier fabric now I’ve seen your version. Have you seen the Heather dress by soi. It was my first jersey make and have made three versions. Lisa recently did a sewalong on it. Also the Emma dress by SOI. It works well in a heavier fabric which gives it structure. I’ve made two. The Southbank is my absolute favourite and have made a lot plus as gifts. It just fits me so well. I never include the pockets though. Thank you 🙏

    Love your videos - I tend to avoid stretch patterns as I get nervous about the neckline - you mentioned that you sometimes baste the jersey neckline before trying on to check if the neckline lies flat. How do you baste it? By using a zig zag on the machine?
    Keep sewing and making videos- I learn so much!

    • @madebycathcraft
      @madebycathcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much for watching! I usually baste a jersey neckband in place using a long straight stitch. Then it is quite easy to remove once I've checked if the neckband is sitting right.

    As always, all your makes are beautiful and look so lovely on you! I am wondering if you used a zigzag stitch on the neckline when you folded it over, or something else? I'm curious as I have had issues with necklines. TY for sharing!

    • @madebycathcraft
      @madebycathcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much for watching! My machine has a stretch stitch (it’s called ‘stretch tricot stitch’ on my machine) so I used that for the folded over neckline. I also made sure I had my walking foot engaged as I think that helps a lot to feed stretch fabrics through well. 😊

    • @madebycathcraft

      Thank you very much. I love the freya, I’ve got a top version on today and it’s keeping me nice and cosy. I didn’t have any issues with the kielo, maybe I was lucky. If people have had issues I wonder if they’ve addressed them in the pattern update. I think the addition of the neckband is definitely a good one.

    • @madebycathcraft

      Thank you for watching. I’ve used several of the patterns in the stretch book and really like them so its been worthwhile for me but I can see how one wouldn’t want to get it just for one pattern. The sew over it city break book is an e-book so that’s great as I could just print the pages for the molly top/dress 😊
