A dog rescue organization used to accept tiny scraps, apparently, for making beds, but doesn’t anymore, and I’ve felt so bad throwing out so much fabric to the landfills. Very excited to start saving!
Really fun idea for a video! Lots of beautiful makes, but I think my favourite of those is your Kalle Shirt Dress hack. You've completely transformed the pattern, and it's gorgeous!

I have been sewing for years, but never altered the patterns...hence I have never really been happy with the final fit on myself. I love how you share how well the pattern fits according to the pattern measurements and describe the fabric you use. You are such a good sewer! Everything you’ve made that I’ve seen are beautifully finished. Well done! I’ve made a few things so far since I started sewing again. I’ve also just bought a Pfaff sewing machine and I love it. The only problem is when it arrived, the plug was broken (bent) and not fixable. The dealer sent me a replacement. I plugged the machine on and noticed that the screen looked a bit odd. There was a cracked on the bottom left hand corner. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I contacted the dealer he told me he had order a new one and it will get here in 4 weeks time! He told me to use the one I had for the time being. I’m a bit disappointed but at least he’s doing the right thing. In the meantime I absolutely loved sewing on the new machine. I’m still trying to get used to my new Babylocker which I also purchased in October and slowly started to get more used to it! Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your family. xx Shirley

I love how you add waist ties to dresses to give them more shaping, I'd like to give this a go, would you mind sharing the dimensions that you cut the fabric for these? and any tricks for turning them?
Thanks for watching. For the myosotis waist ties I cut them about 80cm x 4cm and then sewed them up with a 1cm seam allowance. So they are pretty fine ties approx 1cm wide. But I would make the ties wider for thicker fabric or if I want a less dainty look to the ties. I recently bought a Prym turning set and I'm finding that really good for turning ties.

Could I just ask, I love the Navy and check dress with the yellow buttons, what size are the squares are they 1/2" or 1"? Just been on 'sewmesunshine' website but there isn't any.
