Truly I teared up a bit about this aspect of the video. My grandma used to be a seamstress, but the fast fashion boom in the 80s killed her work. If the US wasn't so obsessed with low quality and high volume clothing (et al) that exploits people in other countries, we might see more businesses like the clothing shops in this video, making gorgeous bespoke pieces that people feel amazing in.
Idk if this Is everywhere pero here on México you are better off working for your own business... Yes the hours may be loooong but you really do get to see things happen ❤️ aquí también se puede.
Just when I thought German goths were intense, Mexico is like, "Hold my cerveza." Those bars, clubs, and cafes are intense... especially the bar/cafe with all the skulls embedded in the walls! That Aztec/Mayan/Native Mexican art looks right at home there. It's gorgeous. Not to mention the art!! What talented people to be able to freehand album art, band logos and gorgeous murals. It's all so beautiful. I never knew my life was missing a Goth Trip to Mexico City. . .
Germany's goth scene seems super intimidating to me lol. After this video though I'd love to visit Mexico City and just chat with some of the designers about the local fashion industry...in my horrible broken Spanish. Maybe it's from working for a Guatemalan business* for several years, but Latin America just seems so friendly and welcoming. *mind you, this was not a goth business and there were still plenty of lovely hand painted skulls ❤

I remember going to Mexico City back in 1999 and seeing full blown goths dressed to the nines, complete with corsets, Victorian dresses, velvet frock coats, ruffled shirts, fishnets and and buckle boots along with Robert Smith hair and make up in the middle of a weekday afternoon! I saw them at the market, the subway, at the taco stand, etc. and that's when I knew that Mexican goths are hardcore!

This is making Mexico, more fun then ever. I really can't wait to see and really enjoy the other historic places and even the gothic scenery. This is gonna be funny once quarantine is over with.
This is one of the main reasons of why I love living in Mexico City. And you should come last days of October - first days of November. Even when nowadays people started to relate Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) to painting their faces like skulls (which is not mexican at all), the streets are full with people selling sweets, toys and decoration skulls, pumpkings and witchy things. Also, from recent years (mostly since that Bond movie) we have different parades related to Day of the Death (this year there's like 5 or 6 different parades). I love Bizarro cafe and El Chopo! Something about El Chopo is that in the beginning it was all about music, now is mostly about shirts and clothes but If you go to the last part there is a lot of guy selling or trading CD's, movies, concerts and LP's. I love going there to buy some gothic-metal-rock CD's.

OMG, i love your spanish xD
@Marandroiid Della Vita I didn't know that :0
What a nice surprise to find your TH-cam channel . I'm from México City and Is great to see that you are sharing those cool places here.
Best regards!
The Goth version of the Travel Channel. I loved it :)
My late wife would have loved to visit these places, but sadly I only discovered this channel in 2019 (over two years since she died in Feb 2017) she like me was into Goth & Dark Wave (amongst a whole other bunch of genres) .
Her mom is from the D.F. and her dad was from L.A. (via Mexico)
Up until her death we went to the local Las Vegas Dias del los Muertos celebrations starting in the late 1990's
I am from Mexico but not from that part of Mexico and i've always heard that Mexico City is the best for gothic culture, unfortunately the city where i grew up is not like that. Gracias por compartir Voltaire!
This was so much fun. Love all the places you showed. Looks like a gas.
It’s so heartwarming to see all the kindness and hospitality of these boutique and cafe owners ☺️
Me ha encantado el vídeo. Y la convivencia de festividades. En España, tradujeron la película como Pesadilla antes de Navidad, por una vez respetaron el inglés.
I still believe I was so underdressed for this 🤦 LOL!... I should have known better lol 🖤 great video!
Come on! you and Daniel looked great!
@@miriamsantilo6159 You're very kind
I really enjoyed this video and seeing how businesses make their own clothing I hope to visit someday 😁
Cool to see my neighborhood! (I live in Buenavista!) Hope to catch you next time, thanks for the amazing "darks" review of our city, you are awesome :)
Great video. The clothes look really well tailored & beautiful. And they're probably cheaper than the ones i get from Whitby, England. 🖤❤🖤
¡De pelos! :o it gets kind of lonely in the southern US where they assume mexicans can only be a stereotype! I’m so happy to see goth themes be very popular in Mexico City! Yo debería visitar ♡
This was an incredibly informative video and I'm now looking into booking a trip because of it! Well done.
U should go n don't forget to visit the piramids of teothiuacan
Love love, I wish I could visit these beautiful places 🖤🦇
💀🕯That was REALLY a cool trip - enjoyed watching it!!! Thanks 🕸
Very helpful, I go there once a year and I never knew about most of these places. Next time I will make sure to drop by Bizzaro Cafe!
Love the video. I use to go to mexico every year and the last time I when my family took me to el chopo. I was in love with everything!!! Best time ever. But now I'm interest on the stores you when. Definitely will make this a plan with my bf 🥰
