Gothzilla: The World's a Grave. Also Beetle House looks like my kind of place! I absolutely love that cartoonish dark kind of style from the older Tim Burton films. I grew up on his Batman films and probably watched Edward Scizzorhands and Beetlejuice more times than any kid should have.
Just learned that Kawaii Monster Cafe was permanently closed on 31th of January this year. Most likely due to Covid keeping the tourists from coming there. I'm so sad, I really wanted to go there when travelling becomes possible again. :(
Thank you for the effort to continue bringing us Gothic Homemaking. My son finally approached me to watch this episode today, I was ecstatic! He says for your name challenge it should be "Gothzilla vs. The 10 year old Zombie Hunter! "
I went to the Kawaii Monster café last halloween, it was amazing! I had a graveyard themed cocktail with decorative, edible headstones in it, an absolute winner in my book 🖤
Thinking about it, these places should give you a goodwill gesture kickback of sorts for the awesome promotion you're doing. I watch NHK on PBS and one of their community interest pieces was a visit to the Vampire Restaurant, and I think your coverage of it was way better and much more personally intriguing. I am really looking forward to the next installment! :)
Meeting emily from corpse bride and edward scissorhands?! Man new york and los angeles has got some fangtastic tim burton themed resturants aye coiyab! but wouldnt the name of the flim be the terror of gothzilla?
I'm sooo stoked that there's an LA Beetle House!! I'm totally adding that to my post-Lockdown destinations list. I can't wait to see the bars...hope there's one near me!!!
For those wondering what these Kaiju would look like: Gothzilla is a 300 foot black & green dragon/Spineasuarus hybrid, who wears the ruins of a majestic gothic cathedral as armor and has tail similar to a lovecraftian tentacle. Gothra is a 250 foot moth/butterfly hybrid. Her body is black & white done in the pattern of a giant skeleton, while her wings are black & blue done in the style of a stain glass window. King Dracora is a 350 foot black and red three headed skeletal bat from outer space. He decorates himself in the bones of humans and wings that looks like a vampire cape.
Voltaire, give the prize to this one!!! I'm a Big G fan since the 60's and this is the best one. I heard that Roardan even makes an uncredited cameo post-credits! ;)
I just love how much love you give to mexico, also i wish you talk about Sebastian Masuda kawaii monster designer he is really important for the Harajuku movement, this restaurant is on my bucket list to visit also Gothzilla vs Cockatrona19
So glad I found this :) For some reason I did not get a notification when you posted it. I loved the Tim Burton themed restaurants. Who doesn't love Godzilla? And the last Kawaii monster one is very cute :) Thanks again for these :) If it wasn't for you I would never have know there were these types of restaurants. Wish I lived near some of them. Take care
Gothzilla King of the Ghouls. I absolutely love these videos. It's a fun escape during a time when we are all stuck at home. I love Orville! I'd be happy living with him. lol
Another amazing video, me and my mom actually went to the Kawaii monster cafe when we visited Japan, it was so fun and entertaining and the rainbow spaghetti was soooo good
Last year my girlfriend got me the Nightmare Before Dinner cookbook for Valentine's day. Living in the UK, I've yet to visit either of the Beetle Houses, so it was nice to see them featured here to get a taste of what they have to offer aside from the creatively creepy cuisine. Definitely adding it to the bucket list.
The best title I have would be "Into The Lair Of Gothzilla" a story with the trope of "people enter a place they arent supposed to be and awaken an evil they could never understand" sort of deal
The moment I saw the video in my subscriptions I let out the cutest longest "yaaaaaay!" so I hope that tells you how much anything by you is loved~~ Btw, Gothzilla vs Magical Girl Mothra sounds like the crossover event of the century
The line is, "Did things not go according to your plan, Lord Barkis? Well, perhaps in disappointment, we are perfectly matched." Corpse Bride is one of my favorite movies, from Tim Burton or otherwise, so I know the script and the music pretty well. I want to visit Beetle House one day, especially because of the vegan/vegetarian options that make it accessible to all kinds of diners. The LA location does, indeed, look like CHRISTMAS compared to the cramped, yet quirky, NYC experience; of course, you can't say you went to see Beetlejuice on Broadway (or Big Fish for the matter) when you go to LA. (Shout out to Ichabod Crane, one of my more favorite roles Johnny Depp has done with Tim Burton. And also props to the Conga Line!) Good gods, that Nasty Zombie place reminds me of the Alcatraz ER themed restaurant in Tokyo, Japan. Similar aesthetics and plenty of body horror/humor in the food served there. The more upscale dining room in Insurjentes Centro is much the same, although it made me laugh in delight and "Nasty" did not. Wow, the introduction to the #4 pick from Japan was fitting (and funny); it looks like a great experience for Tokyo bound Godzilla fans, if you can't get out to the island where Godzilla himself is said to reside (You can get tickets for a boat to take you there and spend a weekend. A great spot for casual weekend getaways or pilgrimages for die-hard Godzilla fans. And the ramen is sooooo good!) And the last pick, also from Tokyo, was featured in the Tokyo episodes of Making the Cut; several contestants went there while exploring the streets, getting the fashion flavor of Harajuku. It looked like a weird and wonderful mashup of kawaii culture and creepy chic artwork.
You imagine they just used the front door, but don't rule out phasing through the walls or wafting through the window as a cloud of mist, lol. Great look at some amazing places!
I love your music, I love Godzilla and Tim Burton is the GOAT (fun fact, one of Tim Burton’s favorite movies is War of the Gargantuas) so, this video is a treat and the comments here crack me up
The shoe porn gets me every time! I also get a serious travel bug watching you, New York, Japan and Mexico City, top of my list, thankfully I'm close to LA though to try to get to Beetle House after quarantine is lifted. At least now I have time to improve my EMS Spanglish and maybe remember some of the Japanese I took in college. I suppose Lugosi's Lizard Lives and Lurks is too lame but I really loved the video, be well Voltaire💜💀💜
Loved the Beatle House, got the macaroni and the Sweeney Beef cooked blue. Best steak I ever had in my life. I'm glad I forgot I watched this video, was definitely in for a very good treat. We saw Betelgeuse, Delia, Ringmaster, Jack Skeleton and Oogie Boogie perform. It was a mostly musical night. Highly recommend it!
When i was roadtripping from CA to NY, we stopped at a place called Zombie Burger & Drink Lab in Des Moines Iowa and not only is the theming on point, but the food was so f****** DELICIOUS! Probably my favorite place I've ever eaten!
I'm not clever enough to come up with something very good but I wanted to comment anyway because I really really like these videos. You go to the most interesting places! I'm looking forward to seeing these bars in the next episode!
Gothzilla v.s Godzilla: The Tale of Two Monsters Also, I can't believe I didn't go to Beetlehouse when I went to see you 3 years ago in NYC, I have always wanted to go to Beetle House!! If ever i take another trip to NYC (after this whole pandemic!!), I'm gonna treat myself to Beetle House!! I WANNA GO!! LOL!!
I loved Beetlejuice LA😍. I Just bought the recipes book for my husband as a birthday gift and he loved it. I'm going to be very lucky bc he's a chef so... 🐷🐽
Gothzilla- Wanderer of the Dark Dream Idk...Gothzilla sounds pretty cool all by itself. You got the life Voltaire, I get buzzed on the creativity and coolness of it all. Stay sick and demented but you know, in a feel good way!
The Dead Sea Lair Of Gothzilla: Monster of Darkness .....also please come back to Australia!!! I really want the chance to see you play in all your Goth Glory!!!! 🖤
Go Go Gothzilla! Gothzilla Vs. King Gothorah. Gothzilla: Destroy All Monsters. Gothzilla Raids Hot Topic. That's all I could come up with for an epic four part saga.
Not good at coming up with names but, gothzilla and the time tha never ended. And I also wanted to tell you that I have actually visited the cafe/restaurant with Godzilla! Was so much fun, and the cake was yummy. I have also visited the kawaii monster cafe and I just love it! I actually got to dance on the cake either the other monsters! So much fun! :-D and I will definitely visit the beetle house in LA when I visit next time! Looks sooo good :-D
Gothzilla in " Deadenbacher reanimated " --- Another great video those places look so cool ! hoping to see you in York UK later in the year ! stay safe and stay well !!
I was completely unaware there's a second Beetle House location in CA! I've gotta go next time I get called over by family, since they were so nice to take me to the limited Tim Burton exhibit back in 2012!
Here's my idea
Gothzilla : Back in Black
That Kawaii monster place looked so cute!!! For the film title - Godzilla: Dracula’s new pet. I imagine a silly sitcom 😂
Gothzilla: beware the Lair of Voltaire
or
Gothzilla: it wasn’t a phase
KAWAII MONSTER CAFE SOUNDS FUN AND CUTE I'M THINKING ME AND MY SISTER IN LAW GO SOMEDAY.
After this quarantine thing is done with, I’d love to go to Beetle House sometime.
I’m a huge Tim Burton fan, so this place is right up my alley! 😍
Gothzilla: A Reptile Dysfunction
This video randomly showed up in my feed. This is bucket list material.
I went to the Kawaii Monster café last halloween, it was amazing! I had a graveyard themed cocktail with decorative, edible headstones in it, an absolute winner in my book 🖤
Orville's "shuffle your intestines" is the opposite but equal counterpart to "rearrange my gut."
Gothzilla riding a black unicorn down the side of a volcano drinking from a chalice filled with the laughter of small children.
Gothzilla VS The Jock
In amazing Technicolour Vision!
Thinking about it, these places should give you a goodwill gesture kickback of sorts for the awesome promotion you're doing. ❤Adorable!❤
Meeting emily from corpse bride and edward scissorhands?! Man new york and los angeles has got some fangtastic tim burton themed resturants aye coiyab! but wouldnt the name of the flim be the terror of gothzilla?
I really appreciate you talking about places with vegan options on the menu! 🖤
I'm sooo stoked that there's an LA Beetle House!! I'm totally adding that to my post-Lockdown destinations list. I can't wait to see the bars...hope there's one near me!!!

I haven't watched the Video yet but I'm sure it will be SPOOKtacular!
Half this community is just here for the puns, I swear.
@@dustinfirestone5319 That restaurant after the godzilla one reminds me of the inside of the ship from Killer Clowns from Outer Space.
Honestly you deserve your own tv series with how comfy this is to watch.
Gothzilla in "Are you wearing my makeup?"

Now I'm looking forward to visit the Zombie Diner after the lockdown ends. I'm enjoying so much watching your videos during this days.
You imagine they just used the front door, but don't rule out phasing through the walls or wafting through the window as a cloud of mist, lol. Great look at some amazing places!
