- Fully functional, and optimal. Installed an ARC Cone filter adapter w/ K&N Filter, and the ARC performance throttle linkage assy. It cruises smooth now, and the power is there when you need it.

WOW!!! That's loud!
It's better than mixing fuel all the time, but would you be able to put a sport quad rear end in it? That would be fun...
Nice job. I plan to do thr same except probably keep carb and exhaust original. Do you have any regrets on your build. Thanks for sharing
Hey how did you make the bracket for the motor. Was it raised
How did you hook up your tach? Very nice.
Sounds like it's knocking pretty bad from my angle, may just be the mic ?
Nice job! Next you need a lift kit and bigger tires.
alright you have the belt on right
Nice build. What muffler did you use? That is a smooth running cart.
+Jeff H Thanks. I used a generic 1.5" muffler from summit racing.
does it have reverse?
whats the engine used here?
How were you able to run forward and reverse correctly on the engine, with a counter clockwise rotation from the motor? I put a Honda motor in mine and had to run reverse as forward and forward as reverse!
You are correct about that, I do believe reverse is a lower gear also,
How does this charge?
WHAT ENGINE DID YOU SWAP INTO THIS CART? BY THE LOOKS OF THE PULL START IT ISN'T A CLOCKWISE ENGINE.JUST PULLED WORN OUT FE290 FROM MINE,IT NEVER RAN WHILE I'VE HAD IT SO JUST LOOKING FOR IDEAS THANKS
A model T only had 20 HP. Great for a golf cart.
Do you have a complete list of items I would need to do this conversion?
+Brandon Jones Vegascarts.com sells everything you need in a kit.
Unless you rejetted your carburetor for the pod filter and aftermarket exhaust, you actually may have decreased your horsepower or even caused your engine to run lean. Trust me, I've been through this with motorcycles, and unless you are running an EFI motor with 1 or 2 oxygen sensors, you are doing no better than before. You've got a carb jet that was the same size as before, you simply cannot let any more fuel in than the max velocity of the jet. However, you have more air introduced to the throttle body than the stock design, its going to run leaner and hotter. Get the next size up jet for the carb, otherwise you will cause problems in the long run.
With the GX200 engine, I could only run it with the pod filter at half choke or it would bog out due to the small jet. This GX420 however seems to run great with the pod filter on versus the air box.
Thats weird. I've got a stock Yamaha G2 engine I put a pod filter on, but I also removed the stock exhaust and put a go-kart exhaust on. I choke it until it warms up and after that its fine. But I also added a larger jet.
Where did you get that governor bypass plate from?
On ARCracing.com
Cool, thank you
big question how much did you spend on everything?
Probably around $600.
High profile exhaust. Gotta love it. Lol.
How do you get the reverse working without the electric motor in?
It has a F-N-R transmission from the factory.
+Nicholas2011ist the rear end he is using has F / N / R built in if you dont have that rear end use a Rev gear box between engine and rearend
Sounds like someone shaking a can of bolts.
Nice job but that thing is very loud.
We all know that pauly is drunk in all your videos that he is "featured" in.
what kinda tach is that?
It's a 2 3/4 Inch Autometer tach.
is it made for a single cylinder ? seems to be reading high
zachspeedshop It's designed for 4, 6 and 8 cyl cars. These engines use TCI ignition, so when the tach is switched to the 4 cyl setting they read perfect. These GX engines just idle high due to their balancing systems. It will stall under 1000 RPM.
What kinda clutch you using for engine?
Nice!!!!
Sell me the old breather choke button you have on your golf cart now. It’s not hooked to anything and I’ll pay you $50 bucks for it plus I pay shipping.
Pumping it does no good. Carb has no accelerator pump like an auto carb.
