I am considering a HRV to a tow vehicle behind an RV. Is there any way to safely tow an AWD version with a tow dolly? I know prob not without removing the rear driveshaft, and that would be a hassle, but thought I'd ask. Thanks
Jason, may I ask how tall you are? I'm in a wheelchair and I'm trying to calculate how tall the HR-V is. I'm essentially looking for a vehicle that I can slide my butt on, and slide off/out with minimal effort. I REFUSE TO BUY A VAN LOL I'm 30 years old, I want to ride with some style. Thank you!
Hi Jason, i imported the japanese version of the hr v , the honda vezel , it is a 2014 non hybrid model, i have heard from a owner of another vezel that if your battery drains or is removed to replace it with a new battery , the factory 6 inch headunit shuts down the vehicle and does not allow you to start the engine and asks for a code, he found out that the factory headunit has a anti theft system which caused this, is this true for the 2014 models in both japan and the us ? If so , would you recommend to FIRST replace the factory headunit that comes with the anti theft system with say a pioneer unit, so i can then replace the battery of the vehicle if needed ?
I hate the touch buttons. They should outlaw all of them. I like the feel of knobs when its dark and i cant look down. I almost got into a crash one time because my Mazda had these type of knobs and i couldnt find them. Really poor design. I will never buy a car without them again
Make sense . A honda jazz type r paddle shifter , a honda hrv type r paddle shifter, a honda accord type r all turbo 2L would be lovely. Give people more choice an a wider market an its a honda brand so it wouldn't matter all in different shape an type.
@@quinnthompson It does not devalue it if done correctly. There needs to be a Type R in every range, remember the Accord Type R? just look at Vauxhall Vxr, merc amg, vw R range etc. Would love to see a Jazz Type R.
Honda should make like a sport version of the hrv putting the 2 litter turbo from the accord bigger and wider rims, awd and a little big chassis with panoramic roof, doble exhaust, and leather interior. With black out everything outside. It would sell like hot coffe in a cold morning
Hi Jason. I appreciate your videos, they are quite helpful. One thing I have been unable to figure out, how to display the clock wallpaper. On my old Honda, when I turned off the audio the clock would display. The only way I figured to get it to display on my 2019 HR-V is via voice command. Is there a screen selection that will display the clock wallpaper?
Thank you so much for the video. Am I the only one who's had the backlight color setting on "random" for almost 2 years now and all I've been seeing is the default white?
No available manual transmission and stupid touch control HVAC? Hard pass for this life long Honda-head. Still more than happy with my 2012 Fit Sport; simple, fun and no unnecessary complications!
HRVex actually it does. Opinions on cars are subjective, and in my opinion I think it’s stupid. Much like the Crosstour was a stupid vehicle for them to make. That car didn’t last long cause based on sales, the market thought it was too! Just because I’m a Honda fan and have driven them for over 25 years, doesn’t mean I won’t criticize them when they make a decision I don’t like. Doesn’t mean you or anyone has to agree with me.
@@msmoniz yes I agree that the Crosstour is ugly and didn't sell well, but the HR-V looks way better and is more practical, especially with the patented Magic Seats. They've been selling well overseas ( under the Vezel name) and here in the US as well. Just look at the stats and you'll believe me. They're too common in my area and I don't feel special anymore. In terms of the button-less screens, I like them just like my button-less smartphone. I can also use the steering wheel buttons or voice commands to control the infotainment system while driving. Lastly, the LX model has physical buttons for old fashioned people like yourself. Facts.
HRVex that’s fine and good but a lack of manual option in a vehicle that small is a deal breaker for me. Hell, it’s based on a Fit platform so it should have the option. And well, I just hate needlessly complicated HVAC systems. Touch features where a tactile knob works better, is just gimmicky. Even Honda wised up and brought the volume knob over that stupid touch slide volume! Touch tech makes sense in the home and office, but in the car, where you’re usually operating things while driving a 2000 lbs plus projectile, tactile positive response feel UI is still and will be king until self driving cars become a thing, if ever.
@@msmoniz yes removing the manual option sucks, but apparently, those did not sell well due to obvious reasons. You can still get a manual 2016-2018 FYI, even unused ones that are waiting in lots. Moreover on touchscreens, it's not for everyone obviously. That's why the lx and Sport trims exist for people who like physical buttons. I'm a minimalist, so I like fewer buttons and I mostly use voice commands while driving. It's the future and Tesla and other luxury cars have button less screens too. But for you, get the previous model with a stick and buttons galore.
We like our 2017 but we are getting rid of it soon because the CVT is terrible ours grinds. I know most CVTs will have some noise like a wind but an obvious grind is scary. We are going for either something with a v6 like the passport or pilot where there is no CVT or jumping ship to another manufacturer unfortunately. Honda is great but CVT is a no go for me maybe the new RAV4 with an 8 speed auto

@@cartere9981 I was thinking the same thing for our daughter too. I have no doubt the HR-V would last well into her 20's or even 30's. Doing my part to keep it well maintained especially the transmission. People have complained about the CVT issues, yet they're not maintaining it properly. 🙄

Does the AWD work all the time or when necessary...?
All wheels have power at all time, but when applicable the power gets transferred to the wheels that need it the most.
