FYI: Walk away auto lock won't work if a passenger hasn't closed their door before you walk away. If you're too far away already you won't hear the car beeping to alert the driver that the car didn't lock. I suggest waiting outside the car until everyone is out and doors are all closed, then walk away and you're good to go.

I just turned mine off because of that. I hate when I’m walking away and everyone else is taking their time getting out. I just lock it when everyone gets out.
Also, if you walk away too quickly the door won't lock.

I had my CRV for a year and I had no idea that I can roll my window down with my key fob, and that I can change the skin on the screen.. walk away auto lock..so cool thanks

This was very helpful. I bought a 2018 CRV-EX and was so anxious to get going with it I didn't pay enough attention to the salesman explaining the options. I'll take a look tomorrow.
How was the push button shift gear ? Did you have any issues to date? Mileage now on the odometer ?
It has a shift lever on the floor, no push buttons. No issues but low mileage.@@4sumcrazyshit

Great Video! I just bought a 2020 private sale. I was playing around with the info button on the steering wheel the other night and now when I went to try and adjust some setting the button won't work. Any ideas? Thanks!

Johnnie thank you for the kind words. Sometimes that happens that you only get one key. I may reach out to your salesman and see if he would be willing to contact the previous owner to see if it was ever located. I have had success doing that for people. Just have to make sure your salesman will actually do it.
I'm a little confused. I dont HAVE a fob....just a key.

Additionally, if you have the key fob close the CR-V and you or the passenger grab the front right passenger door handle, all doors will unlock even when the driver door handle grab is just set to unlock the driver's door.

I purchased a 2022 RDX A-Spec Advance back in 2022. I love it!! It is night and day from the CR-V. Though I was very satisfied with the CR-V, the RDX is quicker, much quieter, extremely comfortable and has a ton of bells and whistle that I like and use them all. But I still would recommend a CR-V for anyone looking for a quality SUV. Honda has superb quality…… which was why I stayed with the Honda company family. Now, the RDX does not get the same great gas mileage as the CR-V, but I did my homework and knew that when I made the purchase. Good gas mileage and premium gas requirements are not a concern for me.

Great video!! I bought a 2019 EX L AWD about 6 months ago. Black on black with Leather and chrome accents, absolutely beautiful vehicle!! The person who had it before me put really dark window tint on all the rear windows and it looks really sharp.

@stephenhood how was your 2019 Honda ? Did you have any issues with the push button gear? Mileage now on the odometer?
@@4sumcrazyshit I bought it just over a year ago with 65,000 miles on it. It now has 78,000 miles on it. I have had 0 problems other than standard oil change, filters and a set of tires. I absolutely love it. I did have some concerns, and still kind of do, about the CVT transmission, but it is working very well to this point. The nicest parts are the auto door locks and the Adaptive Cruise Control. What do you mean the push button gear??
@@stephenhood2948 is that a push button gear shift and CVT transmission?
@@4sumcrazyshit Ahh, I believe only the Hybrid model has the electronic shifter, mine has the conventional shifter lever. Yes CVT, I'm getting just under 32 MPG. I do know it is time to change the CVT and rear diff fluid, Ill likely do that very soon.

Hey Demo,, thanks for great information. I did and configure the all door options and change the lock screen wallpaper but as soon as I trun off that's back to the normal mod my car is Honda CRV 2021 HYBRID TOURING
I don't know why it would go back to normal. Should be set to each key fob. So, depends what key fob you open the car with when you set those settings.

I miss my Honda CRV sooo much! My husband traded it in for my New Honda Odyssey. We just had another baby and we needed more room. We have 3 kids total but I also love having my Niece and nephew's over so I needed tolhe room. I cried when he drove off with my CRV. My aunt has the same CRV I had even the same color the beautiful pearly white. When I see her car I always say I miss our old car. My 15 y old son says I don't I love our new car. Then my 5y old son cries and says he wants our our old car back too. I tell him I thought you love our new car. He says I want 2 cars. Our old one and this one lol. The Honda CRV is such a beautiful and amazing car. I also love my new car but I really miss my old car.

I have a 2020 Honda CRV, I went to the Honda dealer to get a battery for my key fob, well actually two batteries for my key fobs and ever since then my walkaway auto lock doesn’t work most of the time. It just has continuous beeps and then I have to utilize the key fob to lock the car. The settings are correct. Did I do something wrong?
Isn't it weird you can't close the windows with the fob? If it starts raining you have to go outside to close them with the key?
This is excellent video. Learned lot many tricks even though I own crv since 2 hrs. One thing I want check regarding linking garage door opener with 2018 crv ex model. I am not finding 3 btns which everyone saying. Is this model not support garage door linking?.
The EX does not have that option, it's on the EXL and above trim levels.

Hello Dugan, I have a 2017 CRV. I just bought it and I have a question about the black buttons that are on the left side of the steering wheel. The one button is to keep u in your lane the other 2 I don't know what they are for and a they dont light up like the other one does so I dont know if they are on or not. I cannot find a video for this and u are so informative, I thought u could do a video on it. Thanks Tanya
I’m guessing they are the “main” button right? Which is to turn the lane keep assist and adaptive cruise on. On your display if you hit the “main” button it should light up an “ACC” “LKAS” which is the adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. Is that what you’re referring to?
Hey Dugan I just bought a 2017 with low mileage.. I’m having issues with getting the volume loud enough to hear when using the GPS if the music is playing the music won’t automatically lower itself so I can HEAR my directions

Once the air is filled, you should just have to drive a mile or two on it and it should go away.
Or you have to go into the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) and hit reset
I wish there was a way to watch a video from my iPhone onto the touch screen when parked. Right now can only get the audio from the movie through the stereo system which sounds great.

I have a 2019 Accord EX. I thought I saw somewhere that there was a 'secret' button/way to go back and forth between 2 radio stations (not using presets). Like the TV "Last" button? Am I wrong?

If you have an EX trim or higher it’ll be located on the side mirror. The icon will light up in an orange color to let you know someone is in your blind spot.
My honda civic 2017, I wanted to tiirn off auto walk but in setting, there is not auto lock turn off .
Hey, great review . I noticed in the thumbnail the button gear shifter. I have never seen that option on a crv. At least not up here in Canada. I just took delivery of a 2022 CR-V Black Edition and it has a the lever shifter. Thanks
No, the CRV has the shifter knob as well. However, we don't have the black edition CRV's here in the states! I'm jealous!

I would be happy if our 2018 EX-L would just stop EATING batteries. Just installed our THIRD one - FOUR counting the original that barely lasted one year.

I’ve had my Honda CRV for two years it’s a 2020 and I love it… My key fob notified me that the battery was running low, so I change the battery in it, and after just a few months, it said it was running low again. And it wasn’t locking when I walked away from the car and it’s been programmed to do so. So I grabbed my other key fob that had a fresh battery in it and it only lasted a couple of weeks and now it says it’s low. Same thing, my door lock is not working when I walk away. Do I need to re-program? I just now change the battery and it’s not a problem. Unlocking the door when I touch the handle, but it won’t lock when I walk away from the car.
Ravenous, when my key fob died, I replaced the batteries with store-bought batteries, which died in less than a week. A Honda service rep told me over the phone that store-bought batteries aren't strong enough and that I had to buy batteries from the Honda parts department. I did. He was right. No problems after that.
@@muttsrule1203 That’s the same experience I had. The Honda dealer ended up replacing the battery for me. I just wish I knew why, ever since then, my “walk away” lock system doesn’t work right. It has short, continuous beeps and then I have to lock it via the fob. The settings are correct.

is there a way to lock the system like personalised for owner only to prevent the thieves to change the settings? Recently our car was stolen the thieves broke the door cylinder and change the system to enable their keys. After a wk the police recovered but our keys are not working anymore. any tips are welcome. thanks a lot!
P.s Honda crv cars are the second on the list for most stolen car here in canada. :( just searching how to prevent the car to be stolen again. honestly this car i heaps like it and it's safe to drive compare to other brands.

Does the cr v have the beeping sound when your backing up. I don't look at the screen. I rather hear the beep
