      Depends on circumstances. Its unfair to the kids when these women become single moms by choice and the stats back it up. Any women who had a kid on her own is a villain who is helping to wreck society. Widows on the other hand, those who raise kids while dealing with the unexpected loss of the other parent deserve a medal, and are inspirations to us all.

    I feel this woman's pain. I don't have kids, but I had a husband that was very sick and I took care of him for a long time before he passed away. I never received any support or relief from his family and I just about had a nervous breakdown. But, by the grace of God, I survived, but still have trauma, watching him die in our home, after paramedics worked on him for 25 minutes. I had to file bankruptcy afterwards because of medical bills and other messiness. I'm struggling to get my feet under me after everything that's happened. I'm about to start the 1st Baby step and looking forward to having a much less stressful financial life. God bless Dave Ramsey and the whole TRS team.

    I wish Dave didn't always tell people it's so easy to just become a PA. It doesn't sound like this woman has a bachelor's degree, which she needs, and then 2+ years of full time masters work where you cannot hold a job. What's she going to eat on for 2+ years? And most hospitals pay a small amount of tuition reimbursement, not the entire bill. Plus, she can't work there while she's in PA school! Ay, he needs to get a grip with reality.

      Getting into med school is much easier than getting into a PA program, Dave wouldn't know that. His advice is usually pretty hi-level, but the devil is in the details. He makes a great point in saying figure out what needs to be true to reach the target/goal, then get at it.

    • @ramonargon5913
      @ramonargon5913 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Getting a spot in a PA school is almost impossible. Applicants have an impressive background. She should go tha nurse route. She can get her associates in nursing in a community college; start working in a hospital and they would pay for her to finish her bachelors. Then, if she wants she can go for nurse practitioner (master's degree).

    Im a PA.
    If you don't have the prerequisites then you've got at least two years of pre req courses. At the same time she's got to be working and getting clinical experience and saving.
    PA school is competitive so you want to get good grades.
    Assuming that she can get all of her prerequisites done within a 2-year period and get accepted on her first shot which is certainly not a guarantee when it comes to PA School she's got about a minimum of 5-year plan before she's actually practicing. But any hitch in the road is going to make that a 6-7year or even more plan.
    I don't say this to discourage her and hopefully she's reading this comment.
    But nursing has to be a serious consideration because it's easier to work through nursing school and not lose ground financially and there's a lot of things you can do as a nurse to get to a pretty good income.
    And also with PA school there's no guarantees of getting in so it's a little bit logistically easier to become a nurse.

    She needs to move to the suburbs of Sacramento. Cheaper on the outer edges. Sacramento is overpriced and not worth it. There are plenty of big hospitals in the area, especially up 80, that she should try to go to and probably get paid more. She just seems tired and doesn’t know what to do right now. She needs someone in the area to really help her out and guide her in the area.

      Life can I general be more difficult for women sometimes. Sexism is real in different places in society and as a man for example you don’t need to worry as much at all if you are safe or not while outside, and many people can professionally take you more serious if you are a man instead of a woman etc. There are different factors and I think that Dave wants to encourage women more because they maybe experience sexism in some ways. And many times when he talks to women and he compliments them a lot, they are single moms. And being a single parent is really really hard. And I’ve never heard a single dad talk to Dave, only single moms. So I think that that is a big reason as well. And also I disagree with you, everyone can be a biological parent yes, but many can’t be a physiological parent, a loving parent. Many people shouldn’t be qualified for parenthood, many kids get traumatised if their parent is a psycho or maybe just a bad person that doesn’t give enough love.
      I’m just sharing my thoughts and analyzing what I myself believe in, I’m not trying to go against you or be mean❤️
