Yes - You just watch the MASTERS at work. Pink Floyd is just Pink Floyd and you cannot compare them to any other band. Keep going down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole.
I grew up listening to pink Floyd and I am now retired and yes I am still listening to pink Floyd 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍all the best from Nottinghamshire 🏴🏴
The difference in vibe between the 3 singing, and David Gilmore singing with Sam Brown and the girls, is that part 1 is in B minor which gives that dark forboding slightly spooky quality, and Gilmore sings in D major which gives a much brighter and reflective vibe. (Bm being the relative minor of D major) Nice review you did not make the mistake of interupting the big solo, thanks.
Thanks Groove Guides! Always love seeing new and different people experience this for the first time. Pink Floyd is going to be a part of your life forever now - and your life will be better for it!
Thank you so much for reacting to this. I was in high school when this song first came out in 1979. I remember it well. My girlfriend at the time and I loved attending concerts. It was one of the things we loved doing together. There were a huge number of wonderful groups at the time and concerts were not very expensive to attend. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Triumph, 38 Special, Foreigner, and many others. I cannot describe to you what a wonderful time it was to be young then. We were happier, relationships were closer, life was more carefree, and the music was spectacular. Our 4 adult children (28-33) love 70’s/80’s music just as we do. My heart just aches that young people will not get to experience life as we did as teenagers in the 70’s/80’s. Again, thank you so much for posting this video. It was a wonderful treat.
I was 16 when I first heard PF on the underground FM station living with my folks in the SF Bay Area in 1968. UmmaGumma had just been released and my friend bought it and we listened to it in his room at his house. A 2-record set. and I looked the same as you - speechless and stunned. Sadly, we Floydies just get older but our respect and awe to have been a part of the PF 'LIVE' generation will never leave... Welcome to the best music ever made.
You say you're late to the party, I tell you "Better late than never". If you haven't already, here are two suggestions for diving down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole: Pink Floyd - On the Turning Away Remastered 2019 Pink Floyd - The Great Gig In The Sky (PULSE Restored & Re-Edited)
This is an epic concert you guys should definitely check out other songs from this performance! Nice video! I would recommend the song 'Sorrow' from this same concert
Do yourself a favor if you have not already and react to "Echos" Pink Floyd live at Pompeii 1972!! You'll get to see the main four band members when they were your guys age in a recently excavated (120 to 150 years ago) Roman Colosseum in Pompeii with no audience!!
The song is about an experience Roger Waters had as a child and then later on when he felt ill before a concert. A doctor gave him a vaccination, so he could go and play the gig, but he felt „comfortably numb“, just like he felt as a child, when had a fever. The duality in the song is the doctors voice („Hello“) and the patient’s voice („Your lips move, but I can‘t hear what you‘re saying“) But it is also a song about the conflict between Roger Waters and Gilmore. On the record, Waters sings the doctor, the Pulse version is more Gilmore‘s version of the song, with the darker, more mysterious harmonies during the verse.
Give them a break, man. They are only just getting started with their reactions. You can go listen to it uninterrupted anytime you choose. As can I. Chill.

YOU DON'T FG TALK DURING THE SOLOS. That's a strict rule of reaction videos. Everyone who's done more than a handful of videos knows that. Good-bye.
Give them a break, man. They are only just getting started with their reactions. You can go listen to it uninterrupted anytime you choose. As can I. Chill.
Where are the rules posted again? I keep forgetting there is only one approved way to live life. Therapy might be indicated here.
Someone needs to grow up a little
They may have talked, but her face showed that she absolutely got it
Pink Floyd are brilliantly different.
