  • This is what the cat dragged in.
I believe they only made the 100 model for about 2 years. Be it that it's a product of the 1980s, it's also just before the Japanese scooter invasion, where 4 stroke, CVT based, more emission friendly models would eventually put these types of scooters out to pasture.

Hi Travis, can you show your current moped collection, and also how is your black Tomos and blue Puch?

That's a good idea - I'm definitely overdue for a "state of the fleet!"

Hey Travis, nice find, these are such fun to ride. A quick question as I'm actually trying to get one of these engines sorted at the moment and it's on the points too. What colour wire from the stator did you attach that green wire to that you have going to the spark? thanks. Daithi

      Hi Daithi!
So with this bike, I connected that green wire to the slightly brighter shade of green wire in the terminal block (which itself went into a connector probably to the kill switch and then in the other direction back to the engine). This bike has been worked on quite a bit in the past, and I'm not 100% certain if that's the factory colors.

@@TravisTutorial Thanks Travis, I'd kind of figured that seemed the most likely one, although the terminal block is mssing so I've connected to the one from stator. I'm now waiting on a new ignition coil to land and hoping that is the problem with the lack of spark.

@@daithiramsay4584 Thankfully the ignition system on the points bike is pretty simple, if the new coil doesn't solve it you're basically down to either the condenser or the points themselves, best of luck with the bike it's going to be super satisfying when you get spark!

Hi, i have a question. I just got a DBS Hercules but i have no idea how to start it, do you know?😅

That will have a Sachs engine on it - with some premix in the tank, you flip the fuel petcock to on, flip the kill switch at the handlebars to on, then with the bike on the stand or while peddling you pull the starter level on the left side of the handlebars. That cable goes down to the cylinder jug which opens a decomp value to make starting easier, then it goes into the clutch area. If everything is working correctly it should start!
