    I rode a friend's p 200 about 35 years ago, and it never left my mind. In 2006 I got my first scooter, a Yamaha 125cc Vino. It looked a bit like a Vespa and was a blast. This lead me to getting an old Suzuki 450 motorcycle, and from there to a BMW F650. I rode that motorcycle for the next 15 years. I sold it a three years ago and thought I was done riding. The scooter bug came back to me and three weeks ago I bought a new Vespa 300 GTV. It is beautiful and a joy to ride.

    We visited Florence this past June. We did a Vespa tour through the countryside. After 5 hours on a 150 Sprint, I told my wife I was getting one once we got home. 2 weeks later, I picked up my first Vespa, a GTS! So much more fun than any motorcycle I have ever owned.

    Thank you so much for making this video Gregor, I loved every bit of it! I'm saving up to buy my first Vespa after I turn 16 real soon, I've always wanted to get a Primavera, it's my dream scooter. Still so early in the process that I'm still studying towards my learners license and looking at all of the different colours for the Primavera (which all look absolutely beautiful) but I'm so excited to get it I can barely contain myself!

      Amico mio,stai provando quello che quasi tutti i 16enni italiani provavano negli anni 60/70/80 ,certamente la Primavera ti darà molte soddifazioni,solo un'avvertimento , quando guidi 2 ruote devi avere 1.000 occhi,gli automobilisti non ti considerano...

    Gregor, we've been following you for race news and interviews since before you went to Flo, and we are really impressed with the new content, filming and editing since you gave your channel a make-over. We were reminded by your video of the book "Vroom with a View" by Peter Moore. It's all about touring Italy on a 40 year old Vespa. Keep showing us the insider's view of life in Florence!

    I bought a 1979 Vespa P200e almost 28 years ago when I was a student, restored it and I made many many kilometers with it. And I slightly modified it along the way. After study I got a car and a motorcycle and since then the Vespa was used rarely or not at all for many years. But I never dared to sell it, I knew I'd regret it. Now I got enthousiastic again, making plans and watching Vespa videos. I still have all the original parts so I will build mine back as it originally was. This year I plan to make some nice holiday trips with it, just like in the days long ago.

    • @GregorBrown
      @GregorBrown  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The P200 is stylish but a work horse. Love it. I was in Thailand, and you see so may old vespas still buzzing around. It's cool. thanks for sharing your story with the community. I hope your vespa is going to be restored and going soon!

    • @Volgaman21
      @Volgaman21 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GregorBrown Yes, it's a work horse, but a nice one. For those years it was my only means of transportation, so I rode it all year round. Still remember the icy roads in winter and having to stop at every gas station to warm up again. 😂Now getting it back on the road should be relatively simple. Paint and bodywork are still good, so it's the moving parts that need attention. And maybe upgrade the electrics from 6V to 12V.

    Hello gregor, nice Video! I'm Ilham from Indonesia, I rode Vespa LX from 2010 until 2020, when Covid attack, need to build a home office for the online lecturing, so sadly must to sold the vespa. But last month, just took an '83 Vespa PX, found that the engine was stuffed by some japanese racing product, so I call some friend who was active in the classic vespa communities, found a good mechanic and now he rebuild the engine into the standard spec. Hope it done fast, really want to commuting again with vespa. Cheers!

    Wow I have a identical twin to that black fiat panda at1:05 I'm from Australia and bought it in Queensland RHD 5speed manual,almost bought a manual Alfa 159 sad I couldn't get it but the fiat is pretty cool. I recently saw the Gucci movie and big bang theory saw Vespas plus my dad liked bikes for a long time so that kinda sparked an interest plus my fave celebs own bikes like James may and Keanu reeves. I decided a Vespa because you don't need a bike license in Queensland only a car license. Other states you need a bike license. I'm lucky. I also like Ducati bikes same again saw one in the Gucci movie

      Such a great film! I’ve owned various iterations of the P range Vespas, from 125 - 200cc, but the only 60s classic I owned, was a 1968 SS180. I live in Scotland, and the Vespas all performed admirably and stylishly. I lived in Australia for a couple of years and had a blast riding in the sunshine on a PX200E and a PX125. I used to ride to a little French Boulangerie on the edge of Brisbane on a Sunday morning to buy croissants, bread and a couple of sweet treats.
      The French owner heard the distinctive “ring-ting-ding” of the 2 stroke P200 and came out for a look. He then showed me the office at the back of the shop , which was covered in vintage French Vespa memorabilia & ephemera and he still had a Vespa GS160 as well as a late 90s PX125… I used to get a few extra croissants for free after that🤩😁
      The benefits of being part of the international Vespa cognoscenti… 😎
      Thanks again for this fabulous film🤗
