Hi! My wife and I met you and your family at that HipCamp! We chatted and talked rc trucks and more. I'm glad to find out how your trip went. Not sure if I was the 37k subscriber but I see your numbers are growing even since then. Our van broke down in South Dakota for a few days and we made the wedding we were headed to in Iowa15 mins before it started! It was great to meet you and your family. Happy travels.
I’m so glad you commented! It was great to meet you guys and lovely to chat with you that night. Sorry to hear about the van troubles but I’m glad you made it in time! You have a good amount in to RCs and I can’t totally see myself going down that rabbit hole. Having a blast with our little bronco
It might have been different than your usual adventure, and oddities with the trailer/Bronco may have forced you to change it up a bit - but your son will remember that trip long after you've gone to your rest. Best kind of trip you could ever ask for. One of your best vids to date...
What a special trip this was for ya guys. We love the channels that include the family. Probably because we’re all about showing our son an adventure for life. The trailer was totally cool but boy was it sitting that back of your bronco down. The PNW is absolutely beautiful.
It was awesome! I definitely want to get them out more. Especially my son. The trailer was definitely too big for the bronco, but it was such a cool opportunity to be the first person to take it out, I couldn’t pass it up
It's all about fam and how you can make the best of the time you spend with them despite or regardless of what unexpected obstacles can take place. Great video brother and keep up the amazing work!
Creating memories. That's what it's about. Your son will have these amazing memories of his childhood. ..... also, when you were playing with the trucks... . I was so hopping you said "I"M A BIG BOY!" LOL
This was an awesome film to watch! It really seems like it will be one that you remember as a family forever! Well, done on making the best of an ever changing situation! Cheers, buddy 👊🏼🙏🏼!
We have to make the best of it when things don't go as planned. But if the family is happy an together that's all that matters. Keep up the great video's. Much love
What an awesome detour from the original plan. I hear ya though, Montana is DEFINITELY a place I want to get to. That TL is HEAVY, at least for a Bronco. The dry weight is pushing the max tow capacity as it is. Likely a contributing factor to the overheating as well. So glad you guys didn't let the glitches get you down. And I don't know about anyone else, but I come for your authenticity, not just what KIND of adventure you're on. Side note, we also have a dog named Elle(pronounced Ellie). And our other dog Zake is a senior dog. Its tough watching them slow down and get older. But wouldn't trade it for anything.
I’m sure it’s too late now but get yourself a Curt Bluetooth brake controller for the trailer cause as long as you’re seven pin has power that will activate your trailer rakes. Even if you have a regular brake controller on your vehicle, it’s always good to have one in the glove box. But since you’re not charging your trailer and your brakes don’t work I would bet that the power wire in your seven pin plug has become disconnected from the plug or you’ve blown a fuse..
I really enjoy your channel and the videos that you post. This was a special one and I want to thank you for sharing your family with us. Reminded me of my son and some of the early trips that we’ve done. Thanks again.
I bought my 8 year old son the same RC, just the defender version. He and I both have our own and it is a fun way to connect on trips. FYI harbor freight has a smaller Apache case that will hold two trx4ms and their controllers. It is a great way to protect them from the chaos of a packed rig.
Great video, although things may not have gone as planned looked like a great adventure with the family! Our dogs would have a blast hanging with your two! Hope to see you out more with the family, the memories created will last a lifetime!
Yes, next week there will be a walk around video of it. It was a loaner for this trip. I wanted to show case it more but the trip got so messed up I was scrambling just to keep the trip going you know? But yeah, walk around next week
I added stiffer springs on the back of my Bronco and it helps the crouch. I use a Bluetooth trailer brake that works well. Looks like you had a great time! Beautiful family!
Part of adventure is rolling with the unexpected and making the best of it. Great shots. I’m glad everyone had a great time. Out of curiosity, what dog hammocks are those?
Hey mate I hope your furry family friend 🐕 is okay! 🥹 Heaps nice to see your wifey and cub join you on your trip 😊 Got some wicked close ups of the progressive sleeve too 💪🏽 love it!
Hey for your older pup and the arthritis they do have pain med now that almost makes them completely pain free but just wanted to share that. Awesome video and great memories for your son !
Thanks for the intimate moments, enjoy your family! Your moving in the right direction. Keep persisting and be patient. That trailer is too big for the Bronco lol U need a Ranger, tacoma or Gladiator for that beast. Keep up the great work!
I love this video man, I camp with my 4 and 2 year old every time since their mom had been deployed since January. I'm not really sure what going along really feels like as I've only gone once alone since she left. I've been camping with these two since last November solo and man it's incredible to spend that time with them making that the normal. I guess these days the silence is deafening to me lol but man I love this and thank you for sharing that family time with us! That's a huge leap man, great video!!!!
Thanks so much man. And good for you for getting out there with your kids. It’s definitely a lot of work, but it is so much fun too and I love seeing how happy he is to just be in nature
Great video as usual. If I could request you do an informational video of how you actually FIND these out of the way places and PLAN a trip of over landing. I’d appreciate it as I think others would also. Thanks and keep the great videos coming.
Thank you so much! It was a fun trip. My buddy Jeff actually has a great video on how he finds spots. There’s no way I could even come close to his detail lol. th-cam.com/video/lp30SivF3rk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Lo-6eC_4zzoO-sJD
The bronco is definitely not the right to tow it, but it’s surprisingly capable off road. In next weeks video I show it getting a little more off the beaten path
Love being out with the family, though ours are all grown now. But this looks like an awesome time .... And! I really don't see that front bumper causing air flow issues.
It was a great time and we are still talking about it! I agree about the bumper, but it’s a super common thing. Specifically the transmission cooler which this definitely limits are flow, but that also wasn’t the issue so 🤷🏻♂️
Nice. I prefer dispersed spots so I can let my two meatheads (Rhodesian Ridgeback & Choc Lab) run amok w/o bothering anyone, just me. I have an Overkill Trailer from Bend, OR that I thought would trickle charge the lithium battery while driving but does NOT. I bought a Jackery 1500 with two 100 watt solar panels for off grid charging when I had a heater issue. Turns out it was a bad thermostat. Once replaced I used the Jackery for emergency preps at home. On long trips I do put it in the truck 'just in case'. I charged it at the end of February for a Utah trip and its still at 100% power.
It appears that you have the exact same dogs as us! We have an 8 month old yellow lab mix and a 6 month old black lab mix! Rudy and Rizzo are their names.
Oh man you’re just getting started! lol. Ellie, our lab is an absolutely sweetheart and just so gentle and loving. Charlie, the black German Sheppard, is also a sweet boy, but man he’s got some energy haha
I’m sure it’s too late now but get yourself a Curt Bluetooth brake controller for the trailer cause as long as you’re seven pin has power that will activate your trailer rakes. But since you’re not charging your trailer and your brakes don’t work I would bet that the power wire in your seven pin plug has become disconnected from the plug or you’ve blown a fuse.. use isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip to clean your air temperature sensor in the intake. You probably got dirt in it therefore it can’t read correctly.
@@OFFTHEGRIND same I wish I could get one lol but tbh I'd rather spend the money on truck upgrades and camping gear and still have 50k left in my account lol
Way to sojourn on! Awesome family and love your dog. I kind of think you proved the TL is too much for a Bronco. My guess is that rig was more then 2,900 lbs dry and tounge weight must have been 600 pounds. I assume you didn't weigh it. Cooking on a stool will wear on you especially if your drinking that whiskey. Driving that rig while maxing out your bronco hopefully made you realize Driving anywhere with this set up with out brakes was not the best idea but glad you made it home safe!

I had mud flaps on for a while actually but they interfered with the flex. To the point where I broke one off. So I haven’t really thought about replacing since. But I also don’t have that chipping issue
@@OFFTHEGRIND Yeah it’s those Good Year stock tires, they throw a lot of rocks. I will get a set of Mickey Thompsons once these wear out and those should be better. Love the video, but David that trailer is way too much for the Bronco to tow. Just because they say you can tow 3500lbs doesn’t mean you should max it out. Oh I know. It was honestly just to cool of an opportunity to pass up. I wouldn’t tow something that heavy consistently or probably even again. For what it is though it’s pretty light
It’s awesome you gotta chance to try it out! Love the bronco but because of its payload and lack of towing I’m buying a ranger raptor. I hope to get over in your neck of the woods next year. I lived in Wenatchee, WA back in the early 90’s.
