I can’t believe my man was cheffing up something good… IN A TREE! I gotta give it to him for the whole project. It doesn’t have to be a huge undertaking. Sometimes quaint and cozy is just right. If it was good for him, that’s all that matters. That was ingenious and pretty cool to watch. Bravo to him! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
One of my favorite childhood stories way “My Side of the Mountain” where a young boy from NYC leaves home to live in the woods and he makes his shelter in a hollowed out tree with a clay fireplace.
When the world feels overwhelming, the answer is simple: build a cozy clay oven, hide in a great oak, and let nature be your Wi-Fi. 🌲📶 Who's with me? 🍕🔥
When I was a boy, I read the book entitled, “My side of the Mountain”. It was my favorite book. I still have it after all these years. I’ll be 60 next year and I still re-read that book every few years.
LOL! I was just going to make mention of the same book. I read it when I was a boy as well. That book actually inspired me to join the Cub & Boy Scouts.
Damn this dude finds all the right stuff. A hollow rotten tree, easy to dig, perfect kind of mud to mix with grass, found water a few feet deep, found a perfect hollow log for a chimney and the grass didn’t catch on fire. Other than getting lucky finding all of that he did a good job making everything. The dinner looks really good too. I would have just brought slim Jim’s and chips 😂
If ever an Apocalypse or natural disaster you would most definitely not just survive, but thrive! I’ve learned a lot from you, thank you! I will continue to watch. Kudos to you young man! Great work!
i would feel so lost in the woods without 5G ! I REALLY Like the Aubergine Stew. I got to try that and DEFINATELY some courgette with the aubergines. Inspiring.
This is definitely rocking the "My Side of the Mountain" treehouse! I've read that book a lot and very much love it. It sparked a deep desire to live in a tree trunk, so I've always wanted to do something like this! Fantastic to know that it can be done!
We'd all better be getting ourselves ready then, cos the way I read it , that's all we're going to be left with soon , Living or dying trees that open their arms to us , ,WATCH the movie ,Children of Men , to get an idea . , The movies title comes from a line from the bible , Psalms I think . ❤cheers nz❤
Very true. But I'd be okay, I find sleeping sitting up with carpenter ants and termites crawling all over me to be some of the most relaxed sleep I can get!☺️👌
What you do, we used to do when we were young, playing in the forest near the house, making houses and ovens out of clay. They were beautiful memories.
You made the tree into an adequate shelter for survival possible. Nice but... the thing is the space is so narrow that you can't sleep conveniently over the night. The best the part was the oven and cooking of the bake eggplant it looks delicious. 😊 yummy
Hey Mykhail, How are you my friend? A more casual and laid back build this time. I remember when I was a kid dreaming of having a tree house in the trunk of a tree, but the trees where I grew up never got big enough to do it. It wasn't until I moved to Vancouver, Canada that I saw trees big enough to be able to do it, however it's very illegal to do it where I found the trees as the area in ancient Old Growth forests where the trees are 10 to 15 feet thick were very well legally protected, as they should be. So, that was a dream I was never able to make happen. You have a great talent for cooking delicious meals very simply. A very similar way I like to cook. Simple ingredients, time, and little fuss. Makes the work all the more enjoyable hey? Dakuyayu for another great video. Keep Safe and much love to your family, Matt - Toronto, Canada
I wish I was this creative and adventurous. I think this is fantastic. I remember when I was a kid we made tree forts and all of that fun stuff. I have to say, I’m so glad I grew up when I did. I miss those days of being outside and hanging with friends instead of texting them. Loved this, so glad I found your channel.
Totally! My favorite book as a kid. About fifteen years ago, or maybe a bit more, I somehow found the authors email and wrote her an email thanking her for her book. She wrote me back! I think she was in her nineties then.

This is so freaking cool. I can’t remember what the books called but it’s something that I can remember as a kid and wish I kind of done this and I’m too tall to fit in this tree that you have but my God this looks so much fun And everything you’ve done it is so cool.
