Absolutely breathtaking place bro and the way you displayed it to us was perfect! I cant for the life of me understand why ppl go to these amazing places and leave trash all over. Im thankful theres a community to combat this type of behavior so these trails arent shut down
Yeah man I don’t understand it either. It’s so easy to do and it’s most the time smaller than when you took it out there, so you can’t claim you don’t have room either. There’s just no excuse
I'm digging the music in this video it's so unlike what most overland vids use. Your really churning out some awesome content, I look forward to your videos.
I watch your videos the most. They’re so motivating. Haven’t camped since I was a kid with my parents. But now once a month. Keep up the good work it’s definitely appreciated.
I know some disagree, but rain camping like that can be so amazing. Thanks for capturing the feeling so well! I grew up hearing stories of camping in the Pacific Northwest and can't wait to visit even more now!
Hey Brother, glad the Bronco has it's legs back under it. Olympic Peninsula... What a tough place to thread an adventure to. The wife and I made a trip a couple years ago, the Taco fully loaded and cold weather gear on board. It reached mid 80's... NOT complaining, but we really had no warm weather wear. Lol! Thanks for the sharing the adventure. I'm up in Bellingham forest roads marked. If you want to meet, we should. You do what you do, we just chill. Always, be safe, continue good judgment on conditions.
We love Wynoochee too! We don't camp because it's hard for me to get into camping when I live where people camp. Wynoochee Valley Road is also a great motorcycle ride from Montesano.
Another cool video! Boy it was raining. The drone videos still amaze me. Nice video. Thanks for picking up the trash. My way in Suisun I walk my dog by the sloughs, part of the Delta. Trash everywhere! I’m gonna cart my garbage can out there some sunny day. People ! HEY!! I GOT MY BRONCO WE HAVE CHATTED ABOUT ! 24 BADLANDS. AMAZING ! I got it Jan 30. It was an amazing day. Keep up the videos. Looking forward to the one you mentioned in this video re the power station.
You are in my neck of the woods, which is awesome to see. Kalaloch is a great beach and excellent for winter storm watching. It is eroding site by site and will need to be moved to survive. Great work on your vid!
Each time I go it seems like another campsite is closed cause the hill is falling away which is such a bummer. And the tree of life is looking closer and closer to falling. But man I love it there for winter storm watching like you said
U missed the snow about a month ago at that first spot u went it was about 36 inches nice fluffy powder. An the first y u come to on that road has a awesome camp spot u can drive to on the river lil tight in the trees but the bronco could make it! Nice video!

Hey David! New to your channel and I love the content! My wife and I want to get into overlanding, and I was curious if you could make an informative video about what kind of mods you've made to your Bronco and what kind of gear you find the most essential to have installed or on-hand.
Hey Kevin, thanks man! I did a walk around of the bronco you might find useful. You can find that here: 6th GEN BRONCO BUILT FOR OVERLANDING || The Walk Around You've Been Asking For th-cam.com/video/CcGv7tB6qH4/w-d-xo.html This is not the answer you’re looking for for the second question, but I firmly believe that the most important thing you can do is to get out there identify what you need for your self. I could easily tell you what I have, but that’s not going to mean you need or want those things. I’ve built two overland rigs now, both of which I built slowly and only when I found something that would make my travels a little easier or more enjoyable. Sorry I know that’s not the answer you may want, but that would be my advice. I don’t want to suggest something that you don’t need and waste your money
@@OFFTHEGRIND Thanks dude! That video was super helpful. I think I'll end up deciding between the Bronco and a Jeep Gladiator. Decisions, decisions... but anyways, I appreciate that honest feedback brother. Super cool of you to take the time for a reply. Cheers!
The Tree of Life at Kalaloch is just cool looking. I don't want to be "that guy," but I thought flying drones along most of the coast on the peninsula was a no go? I just thought I read something about that, but I could be wrong.
It’s national parks you can’t fly in. Which honestly I just looked at kalaloch again cause you made me question it and it is part of the national forest. I truly thought it was separate. So yeah, that’s a no go 😢
@OFFTHEGRIND Also, no flying on Indian land, they apparently don't like drones. I'm on Whidbey Island, and I can't fly basically the whole island because of the Naval Air Station. Navy gets pissed if you're in their airspace. Good luck bro, thanks for the video.
I tried to stay in that spot this summer. There was like 8 car there lmao i stayed up above instead. People freaking suck. I always try to clean other peoples messes up. I did enjoy wynoochie though. I normally hit hamma hamma/jefferson/elk lake. So it was nice seeing something new
Yeah this area gets packed in the summer. Hamma hamma is another favorite of mine though too but it’s also getting too crowded. I’m glad people are getting out more but it sucks lol
New to ur channel been watching the 4 days in Oregon I'm in Colorado makes me wanna get into wilderness much love. Also what type of drone are u using ?
Rooftop Tent Question: Once the cross bars and two traction boards are added to the tent, do you have any issues with the struts having the strength to open the tent on their own? Do you think there would be any issues if two more boards were added? (4 traction boards) I'm thinking about adding this set up as well. Great content as always!
No there’s no issues at all with the struts! I also have a solar panel on the very top which is about 30 lbs. It’s mounted further from the hinge and the struts still work great Thanks man!
Hey David I have a few questions for ya thinking of selling my truck to get a bronco badlands and do the over landing hobby but will also be my daily. Do you daily yours? How is it holding up after all the trips? Thanks love the videos and jealous of the area you live by!
It is my daily actually! I drive it about 25 miles everyday. And it’s holding up really well. The passenger window got off its tracks which is common, but the dealership handled it easily. That’s the only thing that’s really come up. I LOVE this rig!! And thanks, I’m glad you like the content! I’m pretty lucky to live here, not gonna lie
Sorry, what did I do with my lights?? Are you talking about the startup sequence? If so, these are the form lighting headlights and they’re the only ones with a startup sequence like that
Enjoyed this excursion to the OP. Last July, I took my Bronco out solo to explore the area, too. Much better weather, and really enjoyed it. Six days there then a couple over around Mt Baker. Here’s the first of 5 brief videos I posted if you’re interested. th-cam.com/video/8dlPk5GooF4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=x_rxrLqvRzEZvI3_ By the way, I built a nice sleeping deck in the back of my rig inspired by, in part, by one of your earlier videos. These dangerous mind-altering substances have addicted more children, destroyed more relationships, contributed to more sexual assaults, incarcerated more fools, and injured and killed more people throughout time than all wars combined. #JustSayNo
I had a single drink responsibly and didn’t drive or was around anyone for that matter. Nothing of what I did was irresponsible. That shot of you just sat under your canopy, with a drink, looking at an amazing view, even with the rain. Perfect. It's all I want. Serenity.
It was pretty amazing to just do nothing but listen to the rain hitting the canopy. I Highly recommend
Agree
That second site is just trashed every time I go there. Thanks for the video. Good to see you back out there.

Hard camp but still pretty damn cool! Rain always has a romantic side to it. As long as you can stay reasonably warm. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Tim! Yeah I agree. Love seeing nature is less than ideal conditions. Not many people get to see it

Great video dude! Exploring and camping in, shall we less than ideal weather, is something I'm starting to embrace & enjoy (not Christine though lol)
Haha it’s a good time. It tests you for sure, but it’s a unique perspective on nature that most people don’t venture out to see
