It took me 5 months and they constantly gave me positive reviews, from different AM’s of my department. No write ups, thanks to God🙏 and UPT is at 79hrs. I’m definitely heading for that PA position or Learning Trainer! Which ever comes first or wherever God puts me

A lot of this is some what bull because there's a lot of politicking when it comes to picking ambassadors. 💯 In some warehouse I've seen the PA be prejudice or even racist.

If you have issues getting an indirect role …. move to another warehouse if possible. If you have to fight just to be in an indirect role you are in a warehouse that’s oversaturated with workers. That’s my opinion. I was in a logistics warehouse and I couldn’t ever get an indirect role. As soon as I moved to another warehouse I was switched to an indirect role right when I hit LC5, and rarely do my primary process path. I worked 60 hours a week and always getting VET so I got to LC5 within five weeks. Now I’m only at this warehouse for three months, never been an ambassador never been a PG, being considered for a PA role. So it really depends where you are and timing is definitely a thing, and again if you find your warehouse is over saturated and you have the ability to do so… roll the dice and transfer somewhere else.
Got my LA after 2 months (Started at a new location a month after launch) and then got my PA position 10 months in. I thought I was just gonna be a tier1 until I finished school, idk how I got here 🤣

I have been employed at a DS for a year now. It took a while for me to feel at ease. The tasks aren’t top difficult. Unfortunately, early on in my tenure I noticed that some lane captains prioritized stowing speed over safety and consistency. I felt like a failure if I couldn’t lift and stow packages in 2 seconds, because of certain lane captains telling me to hurry up.
Then I learned that lane captains aren’t leadership and as long as I am stowing safely and properly, then things are alright.
I became a LA after 5 weeks.
Now im being told to apply for the L3 LA position!

I pulled a ninja and started as a fresh associate and got promoted to zone lead (L3). After only 2 months, the zone lead position was eliminated. I took an offer for internal transfer and became an outbound ship clerk for an SC, 8 months later, I start as a PA for an FC. All in all less than 2 yrs having fun with Amazon😂.
I get pulled a lot to be waterspider for my department I do water spidering well which I think is why they pull me often when needed. But I left 8 months of working there in 2022.

Feel you on the pallet run they just told me here is the pallet jack and I had to figure it out but I just learned a tot role in my building while doin my pg training then I will strictly be pg goin forward

UPT above 15 hrs in my building and the AM's pick Ambassadors. I've also seen AA's go for the ambassador and get blackballed.

Idk if you know this but unfortunately in the delivery station, we don't get the opportunity to be in the away team until we be in the manager position. Therefore, we can't get it in the learning ambassador or PA. I was so disappointed because I wanted to be in the away team smh 🤦

Yeah I am not too sure if AM is where I want to go, I have a career outside of Amazon that I am trying to build up just like yourself. Let me know how is Amazon Delivery is, because I am interested
Just learned I was inclined for LA this past week so I may be the only one for AFE1 but before that last year we had 6 and lost all of them. Either due to not getting promoted, not worth the work but mostly due to no peak pay. The one who was a seasonal PA didn't pass her interview so she turned in her vest. And now our new PA has only been here for a month. Plus we are on our 6th AM and we are only 3 months into the new year
Ayyee congrats on that Jessie!! Take advantage of it!! And all that going on sounds crazy... but I'm honestly not surprised, its gonna be a ride in 2023.

I been back n forth at 1 minute to 1 hour of upt for 6 plus months
I wish I found out about icqa before I signed up for it. It should stand for Isolated cubicle quiet associates. I get the run around bout progress. Counting is the worst. Easy but boring. And yes they give people positions that you not qualified. And it’s a certain group of people they give it to.
I agree the favoritism is a beast to get around sometimes.
So if you have the energy… how about a video on Flex employees and these same opportunities!? Flex seem like a whole other beast here at Amazon and no one at my building is answering my questions about how we can level up and get certain trainings and Ambassador roles when we are on Flex schedules 🤷🏻♀️ no one seems to have any answers that makes sense… I’ll be at that fork in the road soon… I wanna do well and help the new Launch of another building opening up near my house and wanna be sure I get Ambassador at this one 😊
I definitely feel it’s a different road when it comes to flex associates, how many days is your AM there when you work?
Now that I'm flex schedule I'm sure I'll be a L1 peasant my whole time there. Having accommodations doesn't help.
At my Amazon delivery station, we have so many learning ambassadors such that it become meaningless. When thinking of these LA, I can't help it but thinking of the phrase "Too many chiefs and not enough Indians." Lol. Too many learning ambassadors not enough new employees to train.
Shhesh, sounds pretty crazy having more LA's than new hires 👀 hopefully that changes!
Do you have to be a blue badge SB to become a LA? I just came back to Amazon and have to start all over again and I’m seasonal at BFL1 I heard you have to be a blue badge to be a LA and I been told you don’t
I think you do but I would ask your AM to be sure, or just apply for it anyway and see what happens
i’ve been there 3, going on 4 months. my PA came to me a couple days asking if i wanted to move up to a PG. i said yes, hopefully thats good
That's some good stuff right there! They must see some potential.
I remember when I was hitting 5ks or 6ks and I haven’t been moved up, people who haven’t hit those numbers but they are over me.
That's true not just because you do a great job do they move you up which sucks. But I made a video on a few tips and steps to take which should put you on the radar and in worst case what to do if they just don't want to help you. I think its called "tips to get a promotion at amazon" on my page. Keep a positive mindset fam don't let it get you down!
Just became an ambassador a few days ago, it took me 36 days, I guess they really needed ambassadors, any tips for a new AA?
Ayyee! BIG CONGRATS! And 36 days nice! And tips it depends on what your goals and plans are for the company but a great foundation to have no matter what the goals are, create a positive attitude and mindset and protect it.

How do I apply for a PA position. I'm at a brand new facility only 25 percent fully staffed. I am packing rn. Currently the top best 1 percent of packers on all shifts. Do I apply internally? I only have 2 months at amazon but I want them to know I'm interested now

Yeap even though amazon say's you need that to work there I've seen people work there without out, and when your going for the PA they don't check that... but that's probably not something you want to bring up though.

I just received top 25% quality two weeks in a row stowing. I am coming up two months at Amazon. I did water spider one day. It was brutal. Not interested in that again. What should I apply for
Ayyee good stuff John!! Its depends on what your trying to do, if your trying to move up I would prob. say ambassador if your just trying to clock in collect and go home would just stay there.
Do you know if they accept bachelor’s from other country’s or just the US?
They do however you would have to verify if the specific college and nation is accepted. I know they have a career choice program that lists 14 nations but i know its not limited to simply those.

I was able to get PA in 4 months, really just depends on the building, your visibility, and your persistence. Rapid Growth is for sure possible 🙂
