Just became a PA after 2 years. I've been a PA for a like 4 months. I came from pick and got dropped into pack singles. I'm still learning about the pack process. Thank you for this. I had a one on one with my AM and OM and they say I'm doing well, but I need to work on being more proactive. This has helped. Thank you.

I was lucky and started on a building opening day. They selected ambassadors two weeks in and and I was one of the first one picked. This allowed me to make connections with all of the area managers and op managers. I also trained and had connections with all the hires so about 3 months in i got an interview and got that inclined status and was made a pa a week later.

Yes, one of the key factors of your success in Amazon is to find a good manager . A good manager makes everything different, but bad thing is that there aren’t that many good managers in Amazon and a lot of the managers lack leadership

I agree I worked for Amazon 5 years worked my way up to Area Manager, got a new site lead horrible manager brought awful culture with them and because I did not agree with how she treated and wanted to make people do things got fired 3 months after she took over, claimed my performance was why I was being fired. I filed complaints but that does not help if HR is telling site lead everything and disregarding what every manager is saying. All in all no longer with Amazon but much happier as those 3 months were the worst billing and belittling experience I ever had.

Ive been in that position at a non-amazon warehouse, but we was called a Lead worker. IDK, I've witness 3 PAs quit because of the stress they was going through and I know that feeling. I got offered a PA position in a different building not far from where I'm working now. The thing is, they only offer you a 0.50 cent an hour raise. And with all the added responsibilities and stress, it doesn't seem worth it to start at a new building for a measly 0.50 cent raise. Besides, with the extra pay we get for some VET shifts, I would probably make more staying where I am as a regular associate. They need to give you more of a raise for the PA position! It doesn't give you much incentive.

I do not like it because I am not doing what others are doing already and mostly they were hired as LAs after me. I got me zu-key, computer usb drive 3 weeks ago. Still have not done anything. Yes, I have spoken to Operations and LA trainer about it. Basically, there is some things going on that I find is not right aka favoritism/bsing. I have one of the top rates in pack. I have been at amazon for just under 4 months. My regional manager just approached me and subtley told me to apply for Learning ambassador. He told me no raise with it but said it would look good on a resume. I think he was suggesting I go for PA. Im already the guy the new people come to with any and all work related questions. They recently hired a PA from outside amazon they introduced to me personally and told him if he has any questions or needs help come to me. So now I have to decide do I chase the amazon career path? I was just testing the waters and have not put much thought into rising the ranks. All the PA's and pg like me because wherever they send me, I will either fix or catch up that area. I think I could quickly become a PA, but I also think that might be false self faith.

Yeap under 4 months and already having people come up to you to go for it is always a great sign, and def. I would try to go for the PA position why not? @@jsegura525 Hello there!…I will tell you that I use S.T.A.R techniques to answer the interview questions.
      S-Situation
      T- Task
      A - Action
      R - Result
Most of the questions will have to do with what you’ve done with your experiences. For example
Q: Please tell me the time that you encounter a difficult situation and how do work through it.
So you use the S.T.A.R technique to answer… First to come up with a Situation of what happened, then talk about Task that you have to do in that situation, then the Action basically what did you do, and then tell them the Result. I hope this will help you out!…..good luck I’m cheering for you.
FYI…they can also ask you about the time that you fail at work or in life!…same thing just use the S.T.A.R technique OK?

does any particular department give an advantage towards promotion to tier 3+?? I'm brand new, day three was yesterday. I am doing ICQA simple bin count. In talking to my AM I learned he has been at amazon since '98, so he is an OG, he seems cool also. he already asked me, and I assume the other new hires, what roles I'm interested in pursuing at amazon. I thought that was a good thing for an area manager to ask new employees. Anyway, I'm basically wondering if I'm in a decent spot advancement wise since I personally don't mind the monotony of counting bins all night. However, if ICQA is a dead end to advancement I'd like to know so I can cross train ASAP. I'm 47 and have over 10 years experience running a computer repair shop and an associates programming degree, I left my 4year university to start working before I got a bachelor degree tho. I just don't want to work in tech anymore, so I'm starting over at amazon basically. As for my goals, I would like to be a PA or above at amazon ASAP. Ik I have to pay my dues and wait 1-2 years if need be but like I said I wanna make sure ICQA is a good path since I don't see anyone talking about it on Reddit or TH-cam. It's as if nobody does bin count lol. Is that because it's a shit role???
Side note:. If I stay in ICQA i think for tier 2 I'd like to do Amnesty on the robot floor which Ik is a path in ICQA, but I don't see how that role would lead anywhere even tho I think working the robot floor would be fun lol, my tech nerd side likes robots ig

@@S.B. Space Race one the FC games list is the best to help you with your rate. As soon as I started using that my rate jumped waaaaay up. I like a visual cue to see if I am making goal. 300+ UPH is a cakewalk when then pods are back to back…I was talking to a person who used to work there and they were like 300 items is crazy and “impossible”….okay…

    • @S.B.

Of course you do! I would say as long as you have some sort idea of how the flow and process runs and some indirect stuff under your belt you have a chance 💪🏾

No if you have pto to cover the time your good, but being a PA you are expected to come in earlier.

Hey again, work at a DS. In my 5th month atm. Month of January I ranked 1st overall in our region out of a few stations. With 75 rating when 2nd / 3rd were low 50s. Not sure how that all works but lately been getting pushed for TDR training and shadowing P.As. Hearing TDR is one easiest ways to get fired so kinda sketches me out but if I dont do it they will just offer it to the next person? Also love the here to outwork everyone else slogan man, I'm gunning for that February month #1 again. Think my rates has been better then month of January but January I worked like 5 day weeks all month basically so not sure if having more days work aka having more rates contributes to those final rating numbers they do? Would you have any idea on that since corporate now guessing corporate deals with that

Also that one ambassador I mention in preview comment trying get me to do less cause my high rates stow/induct etc. Now tried to say they are just using me at this point to do p.a's jobs lol when really it's just a step in right direction and this dude is way older. Some people can be salty

Yea if your working less days with a higher rate that could be why, and man good job on killin it over there sheesh! If I was you I would definitely utilize someone to help you add everything that your doing to beef up your resume and then start applying for PA positions.💪🏾 keep up the amazing work Josh!! 📈
