From being an introverted person who would never start up a conversation with any stranger, to being the PIT trainer in my warehouse and helping associates whenever needed, I learned a lot about myself while being a learning ambassador. I encourage anyone who’s interested to be a learning ambassador for sure. And SB your humor got me crying in tears I can’t 💀
I’ve seen the same happen! People who couldn’t even imagine themselves teaching someone all of a sudden thrives in the role and does big things, pretty dope. And LOL thank RYO!! I’m glad you enjoy the content really appreciate the support lol! 🤞🏾💪🏾
Today was my 1st day. Money isn't bad but work life balance can be awful because they make you work mandatory OT. It's not just once in awhile. It can go on for weeks on end. It's not like they let you pick your day to work an extra shift based on your availbility. They just assign you one and it's like bruh like i have stuff to do.

I’m here because I’ve been approach to be an ambassador BUT I’m introverted and not someone who talks.
I’m introverted with social anxiety became a learning ambassador and now a PA no idea how I got this far but if someone like me can do it anyone can, believe in yourself and keep going forward hard work pays off.
I loved being an ambassador even though I'm not much of a people person. It's awesome being able to take all of the tips and tricks that got you to the top of the learning curve and pass them down to new associates and watch them rise.

I'm a Learning Ambassador at Amazon going on two years. I definitely enjoy it because I like training new hires how to do the process the right way.
LA helped me come out of my shell. I learned that ppl love my personality. I found that a lot of new ppl came specifically to me for questions, which felt amazing. This position has definitely gave me confidence to move up. I have a passion for teaching, and in knowing how ppl learn differently had also given me an advantage - even as an introvert! I am one of those weird ppl that thrives in stress and chaos, though 😅
Yea LA def. preps you to be better with communication etc. and thrive in stress and chaos nice you def. sound like a Amazon fit LOL, Kill it!

As a Learning Ambassador at OMA2, I love to see success at Amazon. I also just offered my first Away Team assignment. I do PS, CW1000, Slam/KO and also I am PPMix. Amazon is amazing. Love VET!

I was working at Amazon SDF4 in Shepherdsville Kentucky from 2014 to 2017. I started out in multis pack as my home department. Across the street was SDF6 and SDF9. I was trained on all jobs in all 3 buildings. Which was a very rare knowledge to have. Workers who knew all jobs were nicknamed Amazon Elites. I moved up to ambassador, and the only benefit was an extra paid day off. I moved up to process-guide to better assist management on overall production. Then I moved up to seasonal team lead for a few months, and then soon after, I became permanent team leader. After moving up so far, it reached a point where I started to get bored of everything. Amazon started to hire people who couldn't speak English, which made it difficult to train them. So I decided to quit and apply for a place called Tower. It was down the street, and it started out a dollar more than what I was topped out on.

I have never understood why ambassadors do not get a raise for the amount of work that they do. Especially when we are told that we are the face of the company, since we are the first ones that the day one associates interact with. I love it but sometimes it can be stressful when you have someone trying constantly telling you how to train properly. 🙄
I also got pulled almost every single day or when it was needed when I was packing, and I just wanted a break sometimes.
I’ve been there trust me I feel you on that, hopefully it changes.

Definitely as a PG we should get and pay increase cuz I feel as I do as much as a PA at times dealing with different Associates and getting different tasks done throughout the day

Hey S. B. I've had friends that have said to me; Be prepared to execute quickly and well. A Con for them would be break time ( lunch time). If it takes 10 mins to reach the cafe. 10 mins to order the food and stand to receive the food, they have less than 10 mins to eat. What can be eaten in just 10 mins? Lol
Yea that’s a fact you have to rush to break and rush back sometimes I agree lol
You can also bring your own food and you also have 2 30 minute breaks

Yesterday, I got my vest! I am very nervous but excited on having my first class! Mostly nervous but also mostly excited, I ask my friend who is also an LA, how often do you teach your own classes, and he said 1-3 a month
On my first day as a new hire i had issues with one of the ambassadors the first Ambassador that was training was awesome but they left a few hours before shift ended so i ended up with another person...All im going to say is the Amazon i work at is so ghetto seems like they make just anybody a ambassador..A ambassador is definitely not for everyone like you say if u don't have patience yet ppl still apply for the role..
Would you mind to do an outbound picking video tips advice how you do the job and what it all entails or have you done that yet ? Or can you just comment down below the basics of the job ? Tips and advice as well . Thanks . I'll be starting that full time April 6 and then eventually I'll be going to packing when it comes up available hopefully in May but I gotta wait that 30 days from the 6th you know . I'll be the 730 am shift . I really don't want to go back to full time and pretty stressed over it but I need the insurance
That’s one thing I haven’t done is pick I’ve seen them and been around them but that’s about it so I wouldn’t be able to give any tips on that except wear comfortable shoes and clothes because I do know it’s sort of like stow they just basically pull out (pick) what was stowed. And nice! Gonna go back to pack sounds official.

@@S.B. UPDATE: I SIGNED UP FOR 3 MONTHS AGO! FINALLY TOOK A CLASS A WEEK AGO, DID MY TEST DAYS AGO, FAILED A COUPLE TIMES, BUT PASSED IN THE LAST ATTEMPT! NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR A SHADOW CLASS TO START! I'M NERVOUS BUT EXCITED AT THE SAME TIME!
We have 6 LAs at the DS I'm at and only 2 of them actually help AAs in need. I forget that the other LAs work there. They never socialize with the any of the AAs and they just off doing whatever they're doing to themselves. So most of the AAs will ask the vets or others AAs for help.
Yeap that's not uncommon to see at all, that's good they had people willing to help them out!

So question? I was told my manager that I should sign up to become a learning ambassador since I’m the top picker in my building which is great but I’m here for 3 months and all I’ve done was pick so how do I teach people about stowing or something I’ve never done? Not sure how that part works
So when your an ambassador they will have You teaching in whichever department your in.
One thing I do love about being able to be a learning ambassador is I'm going to be able to help people better understand the position my learning Ambassador was great he really kept pushing me to become a learning ambassador for some odd reason I explain things really well and I can break things down to where anybody can really understand it but with that being said I get so nervous talking in front of people that is going to be a major challenge for me but once I do to couple times I think I'll get the hang of it I want to move up to pa and a lead for my facility so here's part 1 of a five-part system nervous yes but all I can do is get confident nice job explain the pros and cons I would like to see more Pros than cons just my opinion if you're an ambassador you should feel a little bit more positive about your facility and what they have to offer more dedication if I may be direct and I am sure you're 100% dedicated Another ways but to so many cons about a teaching position that is why I'm learning Ambassador is does not make new Associates find it very appetizing that's why it took me a whole year working at a facility to finally say I got do what I got to do until I'm where I want to be ultimately please add more cons because I can think of quite a few keep up the great work just thought I'd get some constructive criticism you got this man

Here's a question that I can't seem to find anywhere. I have more than 10 hours of vacation time and like 8 hours of vacation but I take vto about once or sometimes twice a week. If I apply for a learning ambassador will the vto that I take affect my chances of becoming an ambassador?
Nope not at all your good! Just keep your upt above what the qualification is which I believe it’s 10-15 I think 15.
big update: AFTER 3 MONTHS OF BEING AN AMBASSADOR AND SHADOWING 2 CLASSES, I FINALLY HAD MY VERY FIRST CLASS YESTERDAY AND TODAY AND COULDN’T BE THIS PROUD OF MYSELF 😊

There’s people who step into that job right out of college you can do it 💪🏾 don’t wait to long that support team it crucial to you getting pulled up to the next level, and teams get switched around so much you may miss out. Just be sure your in it for the long run because the pay isn’t good starting off salary.
I had been a learning ambassador at my sort center for about 15 months when a few days ago management took away all of our learning ambassador vests, and said that this is done yearly. I did not see anything about this in the video. I have reapplied in the past. Is this common policy? I can't find anything on it.

@@S.B.actually I know this girl who was a part time pg and she was promoted to learning ambassador, so I thought she was now full time, so when I asked, she said she was still part time, and you can do it part time, so I decided to apply months back and as of today, I am now one of 2024’s first learning ambassadors of GYR3!
i been working at amazon for 3 months now & they pull me from stowing to go do random things and i'm not even a team leader. i DID apply to it tho.
3 months so far? Congrats! And tell your AM your trying to get it as well they should be able to get you in once the openings come and continue to stay persistent.
If not an entire raise then we should at least get surge pay while actively training new associates, then standard pay rates while in our original process paths. It's a ton of responsibility and additional work, and for what? A colored vest? Lol
Learning ambassadors need to realize Amazon needs results…and that means let’s get rid of the poor attitudes of young party hog attitudes for the better of the company!

Biggest pro- opens you up to many opportunities and makes your Amazon resume look better
Biggest con- people not paying attention and goofing off when your trying to teach them and then you have to do a guided coaching on them. It’s frustrating knowing people you train are goofing off and it makes you look bad as a Sempai

What’s the process time for an investigation on an employee involving phone issue being used on shift ? Cause someone told on me lol it’s like a safety issue so I’m just trying to wonder how long will it take them to view the cameras in the warehouse

Yes you can ask your AM to help set up your resume and apply once the PA position opens up, check job finder on A to Z frequently to see if the position opens.

No pay increase but def good to have more on your resume than just packing if your trying to move up. And if your not trying to move up it give you something else to do than just pack everyday all day, but if you only want to pack nothing wrong with that.

How much do you guy's get paid ¿?
Is there one person that’s designated to do orientations or will all ambassadors have to do orientation classes or just their specific class for the position they are in?
I'm not 100 percent sure plus it probably depends on the staffing as well, amazon moves and adjusts on the fly as needed a lot to get the job done.
