Scan your badge when you walk in and create your own destiny.. It's true. I'm lucky because my brother works with me and we are in the same shift, position, department and I pretty much only hang out with him. I'm polite as I can be in passing but just go to get my work done, collect the money, and leave. I've survived a couple years because of it, that and I have my timing down to the minute in my daily routine.

that's me. I just go to get a check. my leads ask me to do something, i say ok and go about my business. i still get to be myself, but i leave a good impression with the people over me because they know im going to do my job. i don't get caught up with the bullshit of the job. if is not about getting the job done, then it does not concern me.

These are all great tips for a normal sensible person. The issue is that an Amazon FC is 90% staffed with ridiculous, nonsensical, knucklehead people. Management included. Asking them to not act stupid at work is like asking fish not to swim. Most people there feed off bullshit, it takes their mind off how boring the job is. If you're actually smart and are there just trying to be level-headed, do your work, make an honest buck and keep your nose clean, you'll still get sucked into the nonsense. The shitty nonsense type people see the quiet, nice, hardworking guy as the sucker. A big-headed PA will think you're the one to flex on, management in general will treat you unfairly while hooking up the bootlickers. If you don't gossip and you avoid talking, then you're the stuck-up asshole. One thing I would recommend is work on communicating assertiveness without getting angry. You have to stand up for yourself at times or you'll get walked on, but it's not worth getting mad over. Stay calm and state your case with intelligence.

There’s some baddies at Amazon though😭😭 Good tips though honestly. Another good one is in your first few weeks stretch. Constantly. Your legs will be dead but I promise once you get through the first 3-4 weeks it will improve. Aleve will be your best friend. Keep some in your car or at your locker and take every four hours or as needed. Grind out a year and move up to learning ambassador or PA if possible. Your workload will then drop drastically in comparison to a tier 1 in terms of soreness. If you don’t wish to move up, live on aleve for awhile until your body adjusts properly. Eat will and drink a normal size bottle of water per hour to hour and a half of your shift. Hydration is hella important.

Thanks for the advice bro! I made that mistake before where I got sucked into gossip and people would sabotage me because I was a good worker. I’ve definitely learned discretion and why it’s important to keep your business to yourself.

I've been working at Amazon for a whopping two weeks now. Most of the two weeks have been as a water-spider (yes, a 54 y/o pulling the OB carts and pallets to the docks).
I think, what is essential, is a person has to have faith (spiritually), and a good foundation of the importance of work (ethics, morals, values).
What have I observed in the two-weeks of working at this particular Amazon FC, versus other FC's can't be comparable because I've not worked at them.
But what I can say - is for people to listen to the advice which you presented here in this video and apply it throughout their endeavors. Personal life is personal life to be shared amongst the circle outside of Amazon, and professional is professional to be shared within the circle of work.
Example: My oldest son works at the same FC, same shift, same location as I do. We do not discuss personal things at work. We only discuss processes and procedures, and lessons learned for our own personal and professional growth. Outside of Amazon, we discuss family related issues - and leave them in the mind when at work. We will discuss sports, the stock market, lessons learned and other things on breaks but nothing personal (outside Amazon). When we depart Amazon, we will discuss our observations of processes and procedures, what are the work arounds (using the processes and procedures) and employ them for the next day (for personal and professional improvement/growth). It's rinse, wash, rinse, repeat. We do not include names (unless for positive recognition, or the go to person), just processes and procedures.
I tend to keep my children, grandchildren and subordinates (when I have them) focused on processes and procedures and not the person. A person will only do what they are allowed to get away with, based on the lack of accountability (processes and procedures).

I've been running the carts and pallet jacks for a month now and it's still the same - processes and procedures (P&P). I do see some things that could change, but unless they are implemented into the P&P - it'll always be the same. Not a person to be blamed, but the P&P's. Attempt to be as proactive as possible, but be prepared for at the moment changes.
It's not an easy task by any means and can be hectic (chaotic) at times- it is manual labor and before people get into applying, be ready to do work (it's not a social function or gathering). If that is what people are wanting, they're better off taking care of dogs and going to the doggie parks for employment.
It's not a cake walk and as Amazon begins the cut-backs it's only going to get tougher to remain employed once onboard. It's vital (important) to be able to pace yourself and establish a pace that can be maintained for the 4/8/10 or 12 hours on a daily through weekly basis. I've found that having the squeezable apple sauce pouches (I purchased Dotts) very handy for the quick breaks.
I applied to Amazon for the first time and my first day is next week on the 23rd I’m doing night shift 6-5. I’m nervous but I’m educating myself on there warehouse by looking up videos and seeing other peoples experiences but I’m also going in with a open mindset. I came across your videos and they’re helpful so thankyou ✊🏾. Also I’ll be in the fulfillment center.

You can definitely make some money here but at the same time it is a warehouse so it not for everyone but to me I seen it as easy money. @@mondo9.2.5 I just got promoted to T3 4 days ago I’m at a IXD center and I’ve been here for 10 months and 7 days. First Amazon to work at and I will say I actually like my job. Steady and easy money and I’m enjoying using Amazon as my step stool to help me get other things in my life that I want.

Second day was today I really enjoy Amazon so far the work is not hard I had mixed feelings going in hearing different things but so far I don’t have any complaints I worked at a lot of warehouses Amazon is top Teri compared to others I’m a picker btw it’s the easiest job I’ve ever worked in a warehouse if you quit Amazon your probably jus lady and don’t have a work ethic ....ps I also think Amazon is more for 20 to 28 year olds it’s funny hearing the old heads complain I feel em tho

The company is offering some really competitive benefits. The work isn’t half as hard as the internet led me to believe. I’ve done twice this amount of work for half the pay. The people… omg The people are incredibly poisonous snakes. And it’s not like you can just catch them hands and being a walking smoke machine, this is an instant termination. The best advice I’ve ever been given is TRUST NO ONE. Don’t make friends at work. I may have lost my blue card over the very things that you mentioned. Make no mistake, Amazon is a meat grinder, but in the socially inclusive way. This doesn’t fit me. Im begging to be fired.
