- We are doing a few updates to our kitchen and we had to replace the old tile bar. We used a large piece of Oak and made custom hidden support brackets out of flat rolled steel bars. This was a fun and simple project that was a great addition to our kitchen.

I love that you repurposed your grandfathers wood, what a lovely way to honor and remember family 👨👩👦 it looks beautiful! I am hoping to do something similar in my kitchen.
So nice that your family were also there for this transformation. Such a special bench, that it has been recycled and repurposed from your grandfathers shop. I enjoy watching your videos and the music that is paired with them.
Very nicely done. Thanks for the video and I like that you made custom brackets.
Thanks Ken!
I really appreciate you for getting the out to get. 🙏 thank you
Mitch…that looks awesome! Good job with the brackets and notches. I’m sure that was time consuming. Glad you’re back making new content.
Thanks Chuck! I'm glad to be back lol.
Excellent job
Looks awesome Mitch!

Turned out great! Looking forward to more, and congrats on the sponsor 👊🏼
Thanks Ben!

Happy holidays! And stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you! Happy Holidays!
Looks good 👍🏻You did a great job 👍🏻
Thanks Phill!
Thanks great video 😊
LOL aww the baby was like woah... the Bar looks amazing, I was looking to see how i can add a bar to my kitchen opening. This video helps tremendously! although my wall is a basic finished wall. I'm wondering if i should open it up or just add a top with brackets
Very nice Mitch. I was beginning to wonder if you were gonna be doing any more projects.
Very nice job.
Thank you!
Very helpful thanks. Working on a breakfast bar myself, though I'm a total newbie. My concern is the support for the bar. Where did you get those metal support bars again? Where would I look for those? You mentioned a big box store? thank you
Looks great! First video of yours I've watched, will be subscribing and watching more. Cheers
Thanks Eric!
great video! what was the width of the wood top? and how much overhang? thx !
How wide is bartop? Great video, may do the same thing.
How wide did you make your bar?
I'm doing same thing as we speak what thickness is the steal
It looks ok, but I would put something to hide that gap underneath a bit better.
Info on brackets?
