Helpful. Just use a clamp to hold it in place. Also, you need better bits so the heads won’t strip. Lower that drill speed and torq. 😁. Clamp a scrap piece of plywood against the outside of that cabinet wall to prevent tear out from the router on the cabinet.
The Lincoln Top Plate is intended to be installed in the top plate without the need to route out the supporting structure. The plate can be used in the same format as a standard hidden bracket or butted up one next to the other along the length of the structure to fill in any gap between the bottom of the counter and the support structure. The Freedom can be installed within the cabinet as shown in the video. You are correct that this would likely interfere with a drawer if one were present. In that case the furring and bracket can be installed on the exterior of the cabinet and covered over with fascia.
