    I really like that your dad never misses a opportunity to teach someone how to shoot a traditional bow. I’m going to start doing this more. Great video. Love a good rabbit hunt.

    Nice bunny hunt! And having the cooking footage was a great way to show the reward of the hunt!

    Nice video - I'm jealous of how much good rabbit habitat you have! But I have to say, you're wasting a ton of good meat! The front shoulders with chest muscles are good, and the rib cage and other bony parts makes good broth. You can use the kidneys, liver, heart, lungs and tested too if you are brave enough...in the stock, or fried. Fried rabbit balls are awesome.

      I think hunting rabbits with a recurve or longbow is the way to go, it’s so much fun!

    Thank you for this! I've been thinking about trying to get into bow hunting small game when I camp and this was immensely helpful.

    at least you guys had a good season I keep trying to hunt but the main area that's close by has so much pressure from other hunters and people that by the time I got some time to go hunting during the last two months of the small game season everything was jittery as can be or hunted out until summer

    I take shears and slice through the ribs under the spine on both sides. This reveals the esophagus and makes removing the entrails a breeze. You waste much less meat as well

    Thanks for showing the skinning process. Can you eat the intestines (heart, liver etc)?

    • @gabeelkins9059
      @gabeelkins9059 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Heart, liver and, kidney can be eaten. I've only done heart and liver, both were pretty decent tasting. Pretty much all meat on the animal is completely edible as long s they're cleaned and handeled properly

    Why don't you bleed them right after you shoot them? The meat will be so much cleaner. It takes less than 10 minutes.

    So you waste the front legs heart & liver of every rabbit? There is loin along back & then there is neck. Sorry reminds me of people that breast strip. Spoiled video for me unless I'm missing something?

    • @matthewgirard52
      @matthewgirard52 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I was goona say the front legs could at least be removed that's lots of meat there too and take the loins all the way back and just let them hang on the back legs wouldn't take much maybe a minute of cutting in the field

    YOU CAN HUNT LOUD, LEAGON, LION, BEAR, crocodilian or wolf, DON'T HUN OTHER KIDS BECAUSE THEY ARE SUCCESSFUL. 🌹
