  • Here is my Traditional Bow Hunting Grouse best of 2020/2021 video clips in a seasonal order with some extra scenic shots and more. Take note: when you see a grouse in the video but no shot, its because it took me too long to set up the camera. One of my many challenges. Enjoy!

I started chasing grouse with my recurve here in Utah about 6 years ago. I haven’t picked up a shotgun since then. I’ve shot tons of ruffed grouse but the blues continue to elude me. Great video 🏹🏹

Thanks for sharing. We love taking a .22lr along on canoe trips for the occasional grouse. Might have to bring the recurve for a change next time.

Very good video , I used to hunt grouse in Ct when I was in my late teens early 20s , but using a shot gun , I never tried using a longbow , I must say you shoot really well, I know how difficult it is to hit those birds in flight with my gun let alone a trad bow , I give you a lot of creadit nicely done ! I'll be going out small game hunting with my Montana , hopefully have some success ? Keep making those videos great job !

This is great! I went grouse hunting with my self bow for the first time this year (also up here in Timmins). I got a few birds but found I have a long way to go to get that consistent shot. No better way to get out in the bush though.

Very nice videos! I'm over here in superior nat forest (a very similar habitat) and I can never spot these guys until they flush and are long gone before I can get a shot. How are you spotting these guys?

*shrug* Its been my favorite type of media. I had enjoyed reading about, and practicing aspects of it at the time. Might be strange to say, but I believe it was true then. Definitely is now aha @@pewpewkachew4735

I absolutely love your grouse hunting videos! I live in west central Alberta and love hunting all big game and grouse with my longbow. I only wish I could hit as many grouse as you do in a season. I’m a consistently successful bowhunter on big game but only manage one or two grouse a season with the longbow. I also understand the amount of effort these videos take and the amount of opportunities you give up to make these videos for us to enjoy. Thanks for that!

What kind of longbow do you use or recommend? I'm a recurve shooter but have been thinking about trying longbow.

hey there. I will be getting out and trying the bow on grouse again this year but what I want ask is about your dog in the woods. I notice that he/she is a a red heeler. Last year we got a corgi heeler cross and was wondering if yours does more than just come along when it comes to hunting. Now most of my hunting is much different as I'm usually flying my harris's hawk after rabbits , ducks and grouse ( which normally much to fast for her to catch) I'm hoping to use our pup for finding and herding rabbits into the open for our bird and that's why I ask what all your dog does while out with you.

Man would I ever lose a lot of arrows trying to hunt like that.
I’ve just taken up traditional long bow, so no where near enough accuracy yet. I will be doing some small game hunting this fall, but with shotgun or rifle.
