We didn’t near as much snow as normal here this year. We usually have 3-6 good snows, but this year we had 2. You almost have to have a snow so you can track em down to find em. I’m actually headed out to southwestern Oklahoma this year turkey hunting, and I can’t wait!
Nice ! Looks delicious and good for the soul ! Cook mountain grouse the same way using mushroom soup .. best camp meal ever . Where are you located if you don't mind my asking ? Cheers

That’s awesome! Love your small game recurve bow hunt vids. I got my first harvest this year with my recurve, 2 squirrels and an antelope jackrabbit. I like how you show the cooking process as well. Sweet bow, love that camo! Would be cool to see a review on it. I noticed you had an assortment of heads, what do you like best for those bunnies?
I’m actually editing the review for the bow at the moment lol. Hopefully, it’ll be up by tomorrow! I like those wide Cold Steel Cheapshot broadheads because I don’t mind losing them. They’re just a polymer serrated edged broadheads. I also like just cheap metal ones you can get on eBay or Amazon. That way if I wanna shoot at one running or in the midst of thick brush I don’t care about losing the arrow. If you hit them with that big of a broadhead they typically don’t move since they’re very frail.
@@feelthespiritofthewild that’s a good idea using the cheap Amazon ones for small game, thanks, love the channel and looking forward to your review and your bow hunts
@@KGPNBK this is true, it will work, I’ve got a couple with my compound with field points and wasn’t too happy with results and prefer something a little more. Thanks for response.
I love this video so much dude! I’ll admit, I haven’t hunted yet but I do my hunters education tomorrow and I’ve always wanted to hunt small game with a recurve or a longbow (despite the amount of pain people describe it to be at times). This gave me a-lot of encouragement & inspiration of what I can do, and the recipe looks delicious and right up my alley! 👏
It sure was fun! I actually filmed a review on the bow yesterday and it should be out by tomorrow. I’ve had it for about a month and a half. I love it so far
@@wpmissourioutdoors7071 thanks man! I really appreciate it! Sadly no more bowhunting until I can try some groundhogs in the summer, but I plan on even going to Oklahoma and Montana turkey hunting this year.
Great hunt and great looking Bear Camo bow 🥰🏹🐇
God Bless 🙏😇❤️🇺🇸
Nice going man! You're part of the 1 percent in the bow hunting community! 2 nice rabbits!

Good stuff man 😎👍💯🇺🇲🔥🏹
Good job! Now you even have fur for some string silencers! Thanks for sharing & God bless!
That’s a great idea! I’ve got a big coon hide I might make some silencers out of as well. Thanks for watching!
I wish I could do stuff like this where I live but we don’t get much snow here in south east Oklahoma

FYI: Field tips/ target points is all you need.I have been doing it for almost 50 years.

Thank you! Good luck to ya! It sure can be hard, but it’s super fun. Plus, since it’s a small target, it’ll help you get really good practice.
Awesome hunt! Ive had my eye on that bow. Looks like its working alright for you.

Saw that food lion cartoon. Are you in NC highlands?
No, I’m in VA but I’m only a few hours from there.
Try moon shaped broadheads. Why the arrows stands up and easier to find in the snow.
Great idea!
I've been waiting for this one!😝
Great video!🤘🏼
Thanks man! I hate it took so long for me to get it out, but I’ll be back on schedule now! Got turkey videos to be edited soon!

What’s the poundage of the bow ?

thanks
Are those cold steel cheap shots I see?
They sure are! I’ve found them to be quite effective on the rabbits.
Are rabbits seasonal there, or is it open season year round?
It’s seasonal. Only November to February. I wish it was all year round.
I thought so, since you're always hunting them in the snow. They're year round here in Texas.
@@奇形-s2b I would love to come down to Texas and hunt at some point. I plan on turkey hunting in Oklahoma this year. I’ll be super close to Texas.
Like some good eating
It’s amazing! Rabbits one of my favorites.
