I like that you shared the Fu## ups, most won't. It tells me you don't care what people think you just put your work out there. I admire that in a world of TH-camrs that edit their content so everyone thinks they are Chip Foose. Even Chip isn't perfect and he will be the first to say so. Nice job!!!! Thanks for taking the time.
I haven't been over at your shop in a while because I have been busy with other things. You know how it is. You have come along way. You have a shop packed with new tools, shop supplies and Machines. Good for you. Thanks for sharing.👍👍😷
I appreciate you showing your craft. All these "professionals" just show the finished product so they don't give up industry secrets. I know how hard it is to conform steel to an idea. That turned out soo sick, it looks like a WWII Bomber dash.
I found another favorite show. Your a cross between Vice Grip Garage and Bad Chad. It's nice to see your a perfectionist like I am when I am restoring homes that are well over a hundred (100) years old.
I would never laugh at anyone's errors or misfortune, lord knows I've drank heavily after a night of project fails, but your expression when that drill motor smoked! I might have peed myself laughing. But the instrument panel is awesome!
This is one of the best videos on designing and building a rod. Sometimes what you do just don't look right, and you got to start over. This is very rarely seen on youtube, but it happens every now and then, especially when you really go out there and make an own design or detail. This is not going to happen if you build a 1932 Ford with an Auburn instrumentpanel, and exactly this is why I like outside the box builds like the 1937 rat rod. Thumbs up!
The dash turned out great and the lights really put the icing on the cake. I got to say you got some patience, really does look good and it was worth all of it.
Looks really good man. Persistence paid off. Watching this, I saw all the stupid stuff that gets me on projects. 20 different ideas then it finally clicked on what to do. Guess I’m not the only one. Thanks for sharing your pain and not being another best of best no mistakes guy.
I found your channel a few weeks ago. I've been watching this build from the beginning. It's really impressive to watch, and see the growth in both your skills and design. So glad you shared the entire process, and it's really cool how you walk us through your thought process as well as the construction technique. Keep up the awesome work.
It's nice knowing I'm not the only one building cars that changes my mind alot until I finally figure out what I want lol. I'll have to show my Wives this at some point so they know it's not just me lol 😂.
Really nice design, dude! I can definitely appreciate the process it took, as well as adding that to your video. It definitely paid off in the end. You nailed it.
That's the way it is. I have sheet metal "screw ups" hanging way up on the walls in my shop from over 40 years ago. We all do it. Scrap might get you pennies for it. I rather look at them and smile. The best is though, the dash looks great.
Hey man that's .if you first don't succeed try try again. Been there lots of times great vid as normal mate keep it up Stay safe to you all the family. Jamie from Scotland 👍👍
@@BrokeBastardGarage we are good here mate I am on furlough the now getting paid 80% of my wages from the government to work on my model A in the garage I know I shouldn't say this but its brilliant lol plenty of time on the car .stay safe big man .one hot rodder to another .
Nice job ,it usually takes me at least 3 tries to do anything. I did a gauge panel for my 39 in one try using a piece of damaged highway sign, got lucky. Would attach a picture by don’t know how
Quite honestly was disappointed in dash design kind of blahs. We I'm a idiot your gauge design and layout takes it to another level so glad I didn't leave a stupid comment earlier. Great work!!!
You may have a pile of dreams on the floor but before anything is done it usually looks bad before great. I would take old gauges from the collection of never will use pile and place them in the holes and see if you don't just have some panels other only dream of making near that good. Just cause you're not digging it doesn't mean it ain't someone else's jam. You're the worst enemy you have and it costs money so reclaim it in maybe you will like what gives so far. I took a dash apart in a K.W. and then took my square body dash completely out and fabbed it in. And if you go with something temp another idea will come eternal and save the day. I know, it's easy for me to say but its true. Only masochists get pleasure from screwing up. I use them for learning and you will admit this is not the dash that you had in your head when starting. I put a complete cut to fit custom 64 buick wildcat dash in a model A roadster and under that hood laid that 326 with three deuces hidden from others till smoking most all around... there is always someone faster/LOL.
Love that look, I built a bike like that once, and I build a man cave with that concept. Thanks for showing your 'F' ups. One quick question if I may, what is the gap between your pop riverts please 🤓❤️🐨🇦🇺
Wow. I feel your pain. I have been going thru a similar experience. I have a 54 Chevy truck.aka Ol' Beater. I bought a speedometer, and a tachometer, smaller radius than the original. I want to make a panel over the dash, but joining both holes over the steering column. I'm thinking an aluminum plate. Oh well .see ya
Came out great. It’s important to show people the reality of what it takes to make something truly custom.

Original ideas often take a lot of time to develop. All those versions weren't mistakes, they all helped make the final result that much better
I haven't been over at your shop in a while because I have been busy with other things. You know how it is. You have come along way. You have a shop packed with new tools, shop supplies and Machines. Good for you. Thanks for sharing.👍👍😷
Looks great! Thank you for showing all of the trial and error process instead of faking perfection like tv show builders do.

this was brilliant.. i love that look you created... great skills.

Nice job! They say the journey is more important than the destination and you sure are taking the scenic route 😁👍
I thought I was the only one who had that problem. Great video. Looks good.
As you drive your rod, you will have the best view enjoying this piece of art you've created!
Nice. Well worth the effort. Roll with the puches and reap the rewards. Outstanding 🙌🙌🙌

Looks great. That's true hot rodding screwing up until you get it right.
Very cool bud! aren’t hot rods fun trial and error busy time is good time love it !
Love the dash gauge installation with the Red LED accent lights. Also love that RAT FINK on the Garage Door
I really enjoyed this video.. the fact you show your mistakes shows humility..
Watched the entire video and I admire your determination and dedication to your vision. Looks good.
The dash turned out great and the lights really put the icing on the cake. I got to say you got some patience, really does look good and it was worth all of it.
Every one goes thru this. 20 yrs from now itl be EASIER. But it wont ever be a 5 min job. IM PROUD OF YOU !
YOU WON !
Many thanks for showing your project through all the steps. I like your style. You have given me several options for my own project. Thanks!
I love that you showed all the failed ideas and attempts. This is how it is in the real world. Limited tools and limited budgets. This is hot rodding.
Looks really good man. Persistence paid off. Watching this, I saw all the stupid stuff that gets me on projects. 20 different ideas then it finally clicked on what to do. Guess I’m not the only one. Thanks for sharing your pain and not being another best of best no mistakes guy.
Thanks for showing ur mistakes that helps believe it or not I think a fabricator always second guesses himself
A lot of work and frustrations, but it came good, I like it a lot!
Its was all worth it man...turned out great!!!
Good job my friend Looks good.
Lookin' good. Thanks for sharing your hard work.
Niiiice!! Worth the effort. Many people don't know how much time and effort it takes to get it just right. Very cool look. :)
Just want to say I've been watching your build on this car, on my T.V. I can't comment. Just do your THING it's your ride make it all you.
Nice job! Nothing good ever goes easy!!!
Exactly why this is such an expensive hobby.. great job
Stunning result. Thanks for showing us the ‘hole’ journey. Sure helps me feel better when I do everything at least twice. Joel......

Andrew Zanto thank you and thanks for watching
Looks fantastic. Awesome!!!!

The dash turned out sweet 👍👍🇨🇱
Helluva road to get to the final piece but well worth it. Looks great and I can not wait for more
Looks great and I have been down the same frustrating road. Was cool to hear the Moonshine Bandits in the background.
great job, I think this is gonna be one bad ass build
that one with the red light behind / between the dashboard.... Super nice
Nice job ....I like the real deal work
Well worth the time and effort.....
Damn it!!! I wish I had 4 hands!!!!
Deserves 4 thumbs up!!!
Really nice design, dude! I can definitely appreciate the process it took, as well as adding that to your video. It definitely paid off in the end. You nailed it.
Looks great your hard work paid off
Looks way bad ass! Good job brother!
Really nice work!
That came out Cool! I’ve never seen a Dashboard that looked like that either. Great job.
Excellent work
Fair play, it's important to show mistakes, otherwise learners give up. I've learnt more from my mistakes than successes.
Looks fantastic.
Man, you went through a lot to get where you are now. That was a lot of steel and frustration. They look top shelf though. Nice work. 👍👍😷
Great result after a lot of work!
Awesome work as usual. Love the build
Turned out cool!
That dash is riveting.😁 Turned out great. I use pizza boxes for templates. Maybe that’s why I’m heavier after I’m done.
Been there done that key to success NEVER give up Looks killer be proud ,
Nailed it the dash looks awesome!
That was worth it in the end!
That looks badass! I cant wait to see the car when its all done.
Keep up the awesome work! Its looking great!
Looks killer I really like the idea of the back lite behind the dash Even though it put up a fight the out come is amazing
Very nice, thought the copper was to wrap around the gap. The backlighting way cooler.
Looks great patients paid off
Nice to see the trials , mistakes , etc... And to not be sold on something the first time around
That's the way it is. I have sheet metal "screw ups" hanging way up on the walls in my shop from over 40 years ago. We all do it. Scrap might get you pennies for it. I rather look at them and smile.
The best is though, the dash looks great.
That's was cool with the led lights bro nice work
I think everyone that custom fabricats on ideas alone has the same problems that was a great job
very cool looks great
10/10 for perseverance 👍

Great job very educational
Patience and Perseverance
I thought it was looking ok the first time. Was thinking you would have the dash rivets into the centre of the face plate. But the lights make it pop.
Just started following thinking thing is looking pretty cool
Looks like something off Mad Max👌
Looks really good!
This is BADASS!!
