- The current champ in the category of Travel Watch. It's durable, lightweight, moderately attractive and most importantly shows two time zones simultaneously.
I got the orange version for my 15-th birthday in 2012.True beater watches, still running strong. Only difference to your model is, that only the hands are painted in phosphorescent paint.
I have the silver version that comes on a metal band. I replaced the band. I like how the analog time is synched with the digital time. Timexes will have a digital portion, but the analog part is set with a crown and will drift from the digital time. Also, this has a two-part interval timer for the countdown timer.
Edited to add: the one improvement I would make would be a rotating bezel. Even if it was the bi-directional, friction-type that the MRW-200H's have. I would use it to track a 2nd time-zone. I know it has the world time function, but using the bezel would be easier to see at a glance (the digital portion is pretty small.)
I just found the silver version of this watch in my drawer.
My dad bought it for me when I was about 9 years old, I threw it away when the analog desynced from digital time.
For old times sake, I took it apart and ordered a new battery since it wouldnt charge anymore, no surprises there as the watch is now 14 years old!
Cant wait to get it running again!
In the manual it is explained how to sync up the analog and digital time.
@@rjdverbeek yeah I didn't know that at the time, ended up breaking the display after replacing the battery because of prior damage to the watch, rip.
I've owned a dw290 since it came out. Love it, but ive been gravitating to analog lately. Thinking of getting this one.
I just received one from Japan for $44 delivered hard to beat! Nice utility should go the distance
One of my favorites in the current lineup. Mine broke when the pin tore out of the case after about 2 years of constant use but I think I'll get another. So light and comfy and pretty nice look
Yep Casio really does a great job with their watches & I purchased the SQ-S810W which is a fantastic looking watch at a great price point.
I have the silver version . it is plastic fantastic .. use it on work .. the metal finish look came off and it is a kind of white plastic.. no safier glass but also plastic ...Has a fake plastic besel .. nevermind .. i love it .. looks ugly but does the job verry well
Does it show day and date in the digital display?
Have it for something like 10yrs. Great everyday and travel watch. Except the plastic get polished and shiny nothing happens to it. I think that you have to hit it really hard to destroy it.
Only watch I own.
How accurate is it?
I think the watch looks great. Does it stay that way, or does it scratch easily?
How is it holding up after 2 years
Looks great
if the bezel would rotate , it would be the best watch ever
Have the non solar 10 year battery and love it. Pretty much the same other than the markers are dots not numbers said from the 12 o clock. This is next on the list. I didn’t know about this one until I already bought the one I have imo this one is perfect with the numbered/Lume markers and hands
You probably mean the model AQ-S810W. The biggest difference is the size. The watch in the video is smaller and thinner.
That thing about "you never need a battery" is a fallacy. Of course this watch needs a battery! If it didn't have one, it would work only when there's light and would turn off (and probably lose its settings) when it's dark.
"Solar" means it converts light to electricity, stores it in a BATTERY and then gets the power from the battery, not directly from the sun.
Cheap kinda mineral crystal 😂
