I don’t recall his name, but the actor from the last samurai, Scorpion in this scene, is the saving grace of this movie. Too bad they couldn’t make the movie only about him
I will say that the music really doesn't fit the tone of this scene. It sounds like superman just showed up instead of a revenant from hell. Something more grimdark would've made the movie better in my opinion.
I mean he showed up to save his descendant and his family plus the whole movie portrayed Hanzo as an honorable and great warrior that even Raiden held in high regard.

Finally a movie based off a video game that wasn't cringe and horrific. This was actually really entertaining and had you wondering what was going to happen with great special effects and acting.
No. Just. No dude. I can get behind the fact WB rewrote the lore just so Scorpion wasn’t the only one left of his clan. That was nice. But this movie took me out the moment Scorpion slammed his fiery fist down and everyone in the ice was waking up. Nah. They dead. They should’ve stayed dead. The whole point of Scorpion is that redemption and vengeance aren’t even in the same realm of existence. Scorpion can’t have both. Again. I loved the fact that they didn’t make him the only one left. But everything else after just feels cheap. The music didn’t fit either. It sounded like they were trying too hard to be Hans Zimmerman. Which. Granted Hans is wonderful. Talented enough to be probably the greatest composer of our time. And that’s a whole other debate. Point is. Mortal Kombat has a distinct feel. A flavor. That’s separate from the DC Universe. Another IP that WB has control of through licensed movies animation and music. (Seriously. The Death Metal stuff is amazing.) But again. They got the music score confused apparently because it doesn’t feel like Mortal Kombat. It feels like a knock off from another DC movie. Plus the costume direction. Whoever designed the costumes couldn’t decide between Mortal Kombat style and aesthetics or between literally everything else from the DC live action. The only saving grace for this movie. Is the acting. Everyone feels like they actually wanted to bring their respective characters to life beyond the games.
