  • King Thutmose IV didn't build the Great Sphinx. He rediscovered it, hidden in the sand, and - according to legend - it made him king in return.

      smooth Buddha yup. and look for what they invest their tourism money into. not for making the place look better or escavate with better technology though. they cash in crazy amounts of money for tours and groups but keep up the status quo so they can milk that cow real good. so yeah who knows whats beyond the sand man. and how do you Locutus know if they used it, even properly, or actually talk about what they found. what i know is that dont talk to the public why and what kind of construction the do at nights for example.
      also that the pharao built the sphinx just because they found his symbols/tablets near it is a very far stretched assumption. just because a knife is on a crime scene doesnt mean it was involved. give real connections instead of selling assumptions as evidence.
      i also can claim an abandoned building as my own if no one cares for it. its called squating in big cities by punks. doesnt mean i have built it. who knows if the egyptians really built any of the monuments?

    • @chedderburg
      @chedderburg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Locutus Lidar doesn’t go through sand, it works on visible light. The way it worked in the jungle is that it was hitting the trees and leaves but they had soft wear to remove them so you could see the floor. Some sonar or maybe a different high energy electromagnetic wave like x-rays could detect buried structures.

    I thought that there had been. Continuity in these giant statues. Certainly the Egyptians had to know who built the Sphinx, if it was their culture that built it. If they didn't have records who built it, isn't it an indirect proof that the Sphinx comes from the pre-pharaonic culture? There are some hypotheses about it being built around the Younger Dryas that seem quite far-fetched, but aren't we already used to the far-fetched theories being proved as true?

    that doesn't make sense 'he found the sphinx buried in the sand'? so nobody before him noticed this thing sticking out of the sand in front of three big pyramids? the eygptians don't seem to be very observant. Also, they didn't seem to look after these monuments since the whole complex was supposedly only built 500-700 years before this guy. so they built the giza complex then within a couple of generations they were forgotten, allowed to deteriate and get buried under the sand?

      Anw68 that's what generations and generations of inbreeding while fending off invasions from barbarians will do to you. Loss of knowledge + intelligence. They think the Sphinx was built around 2500 BCE (Although evidence points to much older) yet by 1400 BCE according to the inscription he placed on stele, it was buried up to its neck.

    Sphinx and Pyramid are much older and was created by earlier civilizations dating back to 11000 BC. Egyptians found the ruins and claimed them as their own. There are similar older ancient ruins like Gobekli Tepe, Gunung Padang, Yonaguni monument and Baltic sea anomaly. These ruins are from older civilizations that got devastated when the North American ice caps melted and caused the Missoula flood cataclysm. Of course some of these ruins are not affected by the flood but the sudden destruction of coastal cities definitely caused civil wars during that time.

      If one pharoah uncovered the sphinx it doesnt mean other Egyptians didn't build it 1500 or more years earlier. It very well may be older than archeologists think but ancient Egypt dates back to around 3500 bc and itself was probably a legacy civilization started by survivors of an Atlantis like civilization that was previously destroyed.

    The Sphinx was built AT LEAST 12,000 years ago by an advanced civilization yet to be identified. The water erosion on the Sphinx indicates that it had to have been built when it last rained significantly in Egypt. That was 12,000 years ago.

      @Therin Chilnsford The 18th dynasty is distinguishable in the sense that all of the wall art depict Ethiopian, Sudanese, and Somali people. Images are through the British Museum or other free public domains that are peer reviewed. Thutmose has an afro. These individuals were related in many cases; look at the images of Ahmose-Nefertiti of the 18th dynasty and her husband. Even Sigmund Freud stated that the Judeo-Christian bible is largely based and copied from this dynasty.

    Why, in this clip, do they keep outlining Thotmose's other name, "Menkhepera," but leaving the "Thotmose" part (which is encircled right next to it) out of the outline? Do they just assume no one in their audience knows how to read Hieroglyphs? (The creators of this clip must not know how to read it.) There are still some of us Africans out here who can read the ancient, sacred Mdu Ntr. LOL! Really, Smithsonian, you could've just asked an African to translate it correctly for you. Lol!

    The Sphinx is 100s of thousands years old, it was originally a lion’s face, the Egyptians did not build the Sphinx, we now know this, they simply defaced it and made it look human. It also faces the Leo constellation, and was surrounded by ocean, before it was desert

    The sphinx was built to represent the geologic features inside the Schrodinger basin on the moon. I realize that we cannot see this crater today, but I can assure you that ancient humans could see this crater on the moon. This crater is where you get coins with kings, and presidents on them. This crater may also represent Christ? Search "Schrodinger/Christ" See what you get.

      I am historically right. the middle east is in Africa and the Israelites that were there at the time were reported to be of dark complexion (documented by the Spanish government).from ancient Egyptian times they were black all the way up to colonial times when conquers like Napoleon Bonaparte started to blow the nose off of the sphinx and other black statues so you couldn't tell that they resembled black people. look it up...
