The reset actually worked for me. My tv had no sound (was not muted and set at medium sound). The audio came back after following his reset instructions. Thank you so much.

I don't know who you are Mr. How ToTech, but I just need you to know that your amazing and thank you so much. I've been having problems with my Roku that's built into my Sharp TV. Most of the apps wouldn't work and I tried a few different things, all of which did not work. Than I came across your video and I have to be honest I thought it was a joke "click the home button 5, arrow up once etc etc. So I said I'll bite, I'll give it a try and I'll be darned, IT WORKED! @@jerbear7952 The tv had no picture and he supposedly fixed the problem. The tv did the same thing the next day when I turned it on. I either unplug and plug it back in, or I do the remote control thing and reset it. Basically, I paid $125 for NOTHING!

I'm an old Army Aviation maintenance officer and test pilot. Our aircraft troubleshooting guides were written using the KISS principle, so always started with checking the simplest, fastest and least costly things that could go wrong. In my case, the Roku power block had dislodged slightly due to a furniture move. It looked OK, but close inspection confirmed that the power light was out. Reseating the plug solved the problem.

I already left a comment here earlier this year, but today my TV lost volume AGAIN! I had saved this video to a playlist after it worked the first time. I found it, input the "cheat code" again and PRESTO! Sound's working again. So I'm thanking you again! Something I would do in the future is repeat something like (Home button 5 times Up arrow 1-time Rewind 2 times Fast forward 2 times) If someone had not put this in the comments I would have been trying to figure it out and getting way more frustrated than was needed. But a very good format and a great video that helped me to not have to buy a new TV or pay to have this one fixed. Cheers!

Dude, my TCL TV stopped outputting sound from my PlayStation on the HDMI ports. ALL 3 OF THEM! Every now and then, it would surprise me with sound, making me think all was well until the very next time I started my PlayStation, no sounds again! I found the link to this video in a Roku forum filed with frustrated TCL TV owners. And the 1st suggestion using the remote control ACTUALLY WORKED! Thank you, to the uploader, for your efforts. Does the hidden menu work where it shows temperature? After switching on, on a roku stick you press home five times on the remote, then ff, play, rw, play, ff. Try it on the tv. There's another video on here claiming that these tvs overheat. Check your manual and the tv's maximum operating temperature. If the menu temperature is higher, consider replacing or updating for safety's sake

Worked for me too!! On my nieces tv, the remote clicks were making sound, but actual shows on Netflix, Hulu, etc, were not making sound. This reset fixed it!

Check to see if auto sign out mode is enabled. Turn it off if it is. It's in system settings.
Your wifi antenna on your TV is failing. Hopefully it's under warranty

Not sure if this helps, but you could try removing the TH-cam app and re-adding it.
