Finally... a video that shows the reality of factory work. Noise, dirt, physical labor. Not a bunch of robots and soft elevator music.
Note the lack of younger people.

Nissan plant here in Nashville Tennessee is the biggest plant here. They basically take up 2 cities of warehouses parking garages and all. They have thousands and thousands of workers and need more

Thanks to Nissan, no robots there. More jobs for humans. Humans should only buy cars that are made with human.

Wish it continued to show the engine being installed.

Very cool video! Built by humans for humans 😎 nothing against robots, but there is something settling about seeing humans building machines with soul.

the comments about it being assembled by human hands litetally make no sense. these people need education and a fulfilling career they can be passionate about that also benefits humanity, not a monotonous job that a robot could do.

In most auto mfg. and other repetitive mfg, the workers rotate on a weekly - monthly basis...but I imagine it's mind numbing

Agreed, but some folks are perfectly happy watching paint dry.

I know and totally agree with you. Most Forign car companies build thier plants in Southern right to work states. Those states are usually non unionized so workers are not paid what the average Uaw worker for gm, Ford or Chrysler would make.

Probably $9-10 to start as a temp for 3-4 months and if they hire you, $15 and up.

    When did Nissan become American?

    • @Vortech.g35
      @Vortech.g35 5 ปีที่แล้ว

1983 - Smyrna TN auto plant. 1997 - Dechard TN engine plant. 2003 - Canton MS auto plant. Not to mention the design studio in CA, the technical center in MI, and the financial arm in TX. Over 20,000 U.S. Employees. Not too shabby.

Compare to the German engineering and precision manufacturing this looks like control chaos.
However it seem to work, was that a flashlight that man was using to find any imperfections on the car? darn.
Nissan's are good cars I am not a fan of the CVT transmission.

drewski many cars including Honda’s have CVT

    • @PajaroPierce

The sticker on the back of the car said PT2 so that means Production trial #2 so yes he was probably inspectioning the car with the flashlight because it's a trial. Why is it bad to use the flashlight?

I agree. Driving my wife's Corolla with CVT is like driving a scooter.
