It's nice and sad at the same time that the guardians miss their creators. Albedo even got pissed at Pandora's actor for even taking her creators form.

@Kageyame, since it might not be explained clearly--SPOILER: Since Momonga messed up with Albedo's background story as well as elements of her story, Albedo contains a hatred towards the other players for leaving the guild and Momonga behind.
Yeah, the didn't, they show her in the room and no explanations given, not that I'm surprized.
In reality all of them felt the pang of abandonment (demiurge reaction when Ainz fought with Shalltear let this quite clear), but since Albedo was now "in love" with momonga, se lost the bond the other still maintain with their masters, so her pain turned into hatred.
Momonga only changed her affection towards him, he didnot mess with any other data but because her original build was meant to be a "slut" so focusing her love onto 1 person somehow turned her into a yandere. She would do anything to get rid of what she deems to interfere in Ainz's way. Not only her respect for other Masters turned into hatred, she thinks if any of them would still be alive could prove a potential threat to Ainz that's why she asked Ainz to release Rubedo and form the strongest team possible in Nazarick so she could wipe out all the "enemies".
This is the very first clip I ever saw of Overlord. Imagine my surprise when I found out this is a a series neither about anyone cute named Bukubuku Chagama, nor an androgynous elf girl, nor about demons doing cute yet ultimately mundane things.

you need to watch the anime instead of making assumptions by watching only a small clip of it, i know this is old but this applies to all anime
What the anime doesn't mention is that that watch was actually for Ainz. Bukubukuchagama was a voice actor so she made the voice watch for Ainz. Ainz later gifted it to Aura as a reward for her good work.
Ainz is always thinking of how to make a guardians happy.
I think that was mentioned in the first few episodes.

Pestonya is another one of the underrated C-list characters in the series. She's oddly adorable with her silly quirks, even if she makes me think of Vicar Amelia.
Amelia is one of the best bosses in BB lore wise.

the usual quirk is to add woof or wan since she is a dog, but the quirk this time is that she always forgets her quirk and has to add it last second, and its the best twist ever.
You know, that’s probably the most tragic part of this show, is that these characters of Nazarik really do miss their masters. I’d liken it to parents disappearing to children, with only one really sticking around.
Sure, everyone likes Uncle Ainz, but they miss their creators all the more.
Also, knowing the blend from taste alone?! Impressive work! A true patron of meat!
The thing is, they also would be more likely to stay loyal to ainz over their own creators. They know him as the supreme one that never abandoned them. The supreme being that stayed with them always. Combine that to him being known as the "ruler" of the guild, and while yeah they miss their creators (most of them) their final loyalty is mostly going to be for ainz.
@Audrion Irks No they arent. They are only the villains to the people they beat. Ainz and crew are working hard to make nazarick powerful and to help everyone under their banner grow stronger. The lizards, carne village, the city ainz took over from the kingdom, all are doing incredibly well. Sore losers always want to pretend the winners are the bad guys.

If I had to guess where their priorities lie, it would be their own creators orders first, then Ainz, then all the other supreme ones.

I applaud Pestonya’s design. She’s adorable and unsettling all at once.

Dunno why, but I love Pestonya's design. Elegance mixed with the sheer bizarreness of having a complete non-anthropomorphic canine head. She should be mid-level if she's the only other being in Nazerick capable of mind magic

Master Asia She is not very strong. From what I remember, she is on the level of the regular maids on Nazarick, which is level 1 but she is still definitely stronger than humans (civillians)
Considering she's a High Priest capable of using powerful healing magic as well as resurrection and mind control abilities, Pestonya is well past the homonculus maids. Not saying she's super powerful or even as strong as the weakest of the Pleides

So after a lot of research and wondering in the wiki page, it seems that the main theory about the players is that. although there were more players alongside Momonga when the servers shut down the transfer to New World happen differently for players separated from each other. Meaning that groups of player were sent at different time zones within the timeline of New World

Or perhaps because they weren’t logged in when Yggdrasil’s servers shut down, they were never transported to the New World. If Herohero stuck around until the end, perhaps he’d end up being transported as well.
How would the series go if Herohero was with Momonga the whole time? Well, I’ll leave that to the fanfiction writers out there.
@@crazyunclecrispy6140 I don't get how there's only 3 books left. I've read all the books up through 13 and there's still a ton of loose ends and new characters still being introduced. With the fairly consistent level of pacing through each book in the series, I can't imagine how we can possibly get a satisfactory ending by book 17.

@@TyrfingDainslef From what I remember the creator is just overwhelmed and bored of the story now. from what they said anyway I'm not sure if there will be an actual ending or if we'll get left off with a very ambiguous open ending, but basically the creator put so much time effort and mental ability into the almost insane detail in the world and story that they burnt out/ got bored and want to work on other projects. It's not known (at least to me at this time) if they eventually plan on returning to the story of if that will be it I'm choosing to hope they will come back to finish the story but I'll always appreciate what we managed to experience.
It was this scene that really made me think about what Ainz said about the guardians being like children
as an interesting fact Ainz told Aura not to set an alarm on his wristwatch at 19:19 or 7:21, it seems that bukubukuchagama recorded her voice for an H-game at that alarm

@@darkhorseman90 I don't know the answer to it, but I can guess: All the players cared for their NPCs - but as you know, while in Yggdrasil, the NPCs didn't have much of a conscience/free will. They had quite limited interactions with each other. Bukubukuchagama probably liked her NPCs the same way a fan of "The Sims" liked their created characters.
Mare and Aura were after all created as a bit of a joke - partly due to the reverse appearance/trap thing, and partly as a reflection of how Bukubukuchagama thought a brother/sister relationship should be, in reference to her strained relationship with her own brother. Most of the NPCs were, in some way, a reflection of a part of their creator.
Ainz's love for the NPCs has more to do with their connection to the original players, and what they meant to him, rather than a love for the NPCs themselves. He stuck around to the end because of what the guild and its members meant to him. Although he knew about them, Ainz didn't have much interactions with most of the other NPCs (except perhaps a few, like Shalltear) up until the beginning of the NW. Even his own creation, Pandora's actor, was for the most part just locked away from everyone including Ainz himself.
And when you think about it: if the players genuinely loved their creations like they were their own children then they wouldn't have just upped and left them forever.

In Nazarick the NPCs Hierarchy consists mostly on the supreme being that created them, for what purpose and in what position they thought they would fit in, the floor guardians are third in hierarchy because they are special beings created by ainz friends, and so on.

yeah with every few LN chapters the writer keeps adding character cards with their picture, stats,level, class , karma alignment and whatnot.
Cazabrow The special “Supreme Beings” cards doesn’t have those though.
Instead, it gives you a rough idea of the personalities and backstories of the guild members of Ainz Ooal Gown.
I also have believe that it’s a countdown to the end of the series.
Starting from Touch Me, who started it all, and ending with Momonga/Ainz, who was the last one to remain.

To be fair, a lot of characters in this show look like they belong in Dark Souls. Would be an interesting concept game, one where you try to take over the tomb of Nazarick by clearing every floor and beating the floor guardian.

The 100% Grade A-7 are pretty good and so are the mixed beef and pork. But the best burgers are the ones with the patties made from Demiurge's hand selected thoroughbred livestock. (Only true Overlord fans will get this joke.)

Aura can summon hundreds of monsters,
the highest of all monsters they had level 80.
With the help of Aura's skills,
they could reach about level 90. With these beasts at his command,
his fighting abilities far exceeded those of any other Guardian

@Emperor Ssraeshza Victim has the lowest combat ability. While Demiurge is meant to be a type of commander, I believe he is individually more powerful than Aura.
@Emperor Ssraeshza Demiurge does have access to 10th tier spells. Only two, but it is still pretty strong. Also, I don't think Aura can summon beasts like Demiurge does his demons. She has beasts serving her, but they are not the same as summons. Maybe mercenary monsters, but those are created with contract spells and Yggdrasil gold, not skills.

Now thats Luxurius. Able to choose what meat you want in your Patty and then basicaly getting the food for Free (Basicaly, as they ofcause work and for that they be paid in rations ... though i dont know if they actualy need food or not.)
Techy yeah technically they don’t need to eat or rest but Ainz is still caught up in the concept of employee and human rights and how he didnt like working in the real world. Also they actually don’t like it when they can’t work, they see it as a pleasure. Guarding the floors is boring because nothing ever happens and when given leisure or rest time they get antsy and nervous because they want to be doing something productive for Nazarick. Theres even a point in the Pleiades Day arc where Yuri even debates stealing other maid’s jobs because she had an open timetable and couldn’t stand the concept of just sitting in her room not doing anything
