For 2020 Model 3, here are notes. The first little cover is not easy to get off, just know that and be ready to pry like crazy. Twisting off the mirror is not that easy either, I used a wrench with a cloth covering it to twist counterclockwise and to reassemble. On the big square piece removal there are 4 clips. Make sure those are put back on windshield side of the car before reinstalling.
Removal of the last piece before getting to the glass there are 2 hex screws toward the front, one on each side that have to be removed. Use glasses cleaner and microfiber cloth to clean.

Amazing video! Thanks so much for putting this together... easy to follow and ensured that I didn't scratch anything up. Couldn't find a solution anywhere else and fixed my wipers from sporadically running.

That's not water condensation. It's a chemical that slowly releases from the car seats and deposits on the glass. I'm not sure if the antifog wipes are a good idea. For optics, it's best to go with 100% isopropyl alcohol and then wipe off any residue with a dry microfiber cloth after it fully evaporates.

Worked perfectly for my 2022 MYP. Having the proper tools makes this job easy. I also highly recommend a Riedel Polishing Cloth (for wine glasses). Lint free and works fantastic!

Thanks for this detailed video. I think whenever I need to do this, I'll wear gloves because I'm clumsy and would likely end up with a smudge from accidentally touching the glass after cleaning haha. The wipes are also a fantastic idea as microfiber can leave lint.

I had my front window tinted with clear UV tint and had condensation in my front camera area. I use the defrost for about a half an hour and it dried it up, but it is a little dirty. I may take off the cover to clean. Thank you for this video. I have a Model Y Pro.

Thank you for this video. I’m hoping this will fix the issue of my wipers activating when it is dry and sunny. I’ve noticed a bit of a smudgy looking image from the front camera on sentry mode. It almost looks like a film has developed on the glass. Poor design by Tesla to have to pull the cover off and clean the glass but your video makes it easy to tackle.

I had been having multiple problems with my AC, auto pilot, windshield wipers, and more. Tesla replaced my entire AC unit and that did not fix the problem. After two visits at Tesla and days without my car and no solution, I had a hunch about sensors. I've noticed my dashboard camera image was blurred. I've followed your video and will let you know if this will solve all my problems. Fingers crossed. 🤞
