Yes, and somewhat. My '21 M3P passenger door rattled loud, and I tackled mine after watching the video. It's better, but there's still a quiet rattle near the woofer. May have to go back in, and eventually plan on doing the driver side. Just be careful with the plastics, they scratch/scuff easily.
There was an annoying rattle in my brand new 2021 Model S refresh from the time I drove it off the lot. Took several weeks to get a service appointment but I didn’t want to take the door panel off of the brand new car. The service rep told me the speaker in the door is frequently loose and that was likely the cause. Sure enough, that’s what they found. If I develop any more rattles over time I will now be willing to tackle it myself. Thanks!

Just followed your video to eliminate a nagging minor vibration rattle from my MY front passenger side door panel. I am a very happy guy! Thanks so much! My only critique is that disconnecting the connector to tweeter speaker was more challenging than indicated in your video, but I got it done and all was well.
I'm not sure if 2021 Model 3 was different, but there a hook along the top of the panel that won't come come out by force. I believe the proper way to take off the door panel is to take the clip from the side and bottom first then lift the door panel up to take it out. Just pointing out there for people that try to pull it from the top by force.

Hi there, thanks for the video. I cannot manage to remove the reflective light on the door from my tesla model y. Any suggestions? I'm using the same tool you are using
Put some tape around so you don't damage the surrounding areas and pry it with the trim removal tool. Sometimes, you need to add a bit more force but it will pop out.
It seems different from mine, maybe because mine is a model y 2023? It looks like you have more space to pry it. I managed to remove the rear left door which is way easier. Getting crazy over this one
Thanks for the detailed video! I have a damaged interior rear door panel that I may replace at some point. I'm assuming it's a similar process? Do you recommend getting the replacement part directly from Tesla?
Did this get rid of your rattle? I have a 2023 Tesla Model 3 and I took care of the same spots after opening up the door panel I also used felt tape to tape down a few loose wires to the sidewall of the door before putting it back together. It got some of it, but there is still a bit of a buzzing. It goes away when I press down on the armrest then comes back when I lift my arm off. I read a few comments on a group that this is a common issue and lubricating the rubber seals around the door seems to fix it? I was going to try that too. There was one user that recommended using a silicone spray. The buzzing or rattling happens more in the morning when cold and a lot less in the afternoon when it is warmer.
That's so frustrating! Sorry you're dealing with that. Yes, felt tape and securing loose wires can help with some rattles, but based on your description, it sounds like the buzzing might be coming from the door seals or the armrest itself. The fact that it stops when you press on the armrest suggests that part of the panel might not be seated tightly or there's some friction between the materials. Lubricating the rubber seals is a good idea, especially if the noise is more noticeable in colder weather, as rubber can shrink or become stiffer when cold, causing vibration. Silicone spray or a rubber conditioner can help soften the seals and reduce any friction or buzzing. Another tip is to check the clips holding the panel in place-sometimes they don’t fully engage or get loose over time. Reinforcing the clips or adding a bit more felt tape in areas where plastic meets plastic could also help.
@@tesbros I applied silicone spray to all the body seals. The rattle is completely gone now. Btw, I wasn't able to find those clips on the bottom edge (the ones all black) and someone mentioned that the black/white ones you can get off Amazon that are in all the other locations in the door panel are actually the same. The black ones at the bottom edge just don't have the white tip on them, so I read if you remove the white piece then you get the same clips that are along the bottom.
Removed door panels to install tint. Upon re-installation everything aligned properly but the door panel lip looks uneven when looking at it from the passengers side. Any tips to getting it tighter on the weather striping?

I have a driver door rattle that I was only hearing at higher speed (say 80 km/hr and up) (driver door or b pillar maybe). I can hear it really well if I stick my ear right up against the pillar. Anyway Tesla service was out and spent about 2.5hrs and said he added some insulation and adjusted the glass but I think it’s worse now. I drove for about 2 hrs afterwards and can start to hear it at 50-60 km/hr now and up. This is on a 2022 M3P I’ve had for 2 months now. I noticed the door trim at the bottom seems to have a lot of play it it now like they broke a clip or didn’t clip it in properly maybe. I’ve got the dash speaker or speaker grill buzzing on bumpy roads too but not all the time.

I'm going to try to replace it without doing anything because you can't get them apart without breaking them!
No long term issues. And yeah, those clips are so easy to break. I've found that if you have a good grip and jerk the panel straight back, it helps rather than going slowly or trying to do one at a time.
