I think my Betty White 07 Expedition EL Limited has the same power steering leak, just not as much so it concentrates around the driver side. I paused where the hose appears a bit off so hopefully my leak is fixed by just pushing the rubber hose on farther.
@@thebaldingbuilder8400 nice! I have a leak as well. Going to pull it apart today. Would be nice if it’s just a hose but I have a feeling it’s the cooler.
Well I hope it is just a hose that is the problem. Hopefully it's not the cooler causing the issue. I thought maybe that was my issue causing the pressure to build and ejecting the hose. Kind of like the last time I was removed from the all you can eat buffet after 4 hours. LOL good luck.
Anything to report? I have the same issue, top line leading into the cooler/condenser popping off. I filled my reservoir and had my wife turn the wheels full lock to lock with the cap off so I could monitor the bubbles escaping the system and the loud noise went away for about 3 full cycles of turns and then it started again and blew the hose off.
Well Jess the only thing I can report is that I did not use a hose clamp from a dealer to hold the hose on. I am still driving Betty almost every day. I am now well over 10k miles on the hose clamp I put on and it is still going strong. If you are still having issues you may have a blockage in the system. If you are in an area that is very cold you may have water in the system and if that is the case you will need to drain the entire system and replace the fluid. The other issue is a physical blockage in the cooler or one of the lines.
@@thebaldingbuilder8400 Thanks so much for the reply! I have a friend who is a Ford mechanic and he has seen the condensers fail lots of times, but never pressure build up like this. He did mention in our talk that caps on those reservoirs vent pretty generously so it's possible humidity has snuck in over time and collected enough to freeze and create a restriction. I live in MN and this didn't occur until we dropped out of our weird warm winter so that's a viable scenario. Thanks so much again.
What ford expedition has the power steering reservoir closer to the firewall

Sounds like it just needs more fluid. Did that hose stay on after you re-attached it?
I've been driving it with no issues. I did replace the original clamp. I made 14 seven hour trips this summer.
