James Foster James Foster Hey James thanks for the feedback. We replaced the Low Pressure Line also known as a Power Steering Return Line. Starts from the power steering reservoir and ends on the low pressure side of the power steering cooler. I don’t have the part number. However we ordered the part from the dearlership because the owner of the truck was planing on keeping the truck for a while. Jeff Hollander definitely found a good aftermarket low pressure line for you I would click on the link provided. As always thank you for the question please leave a LIKE & SUBB 👍🏻👍🏻 if the video helped you at all and keep us updated on your success with your Repair!!
Jeff Hollander Thanks for helping out one of the Viewers 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 you definitely made it easier for newcomers with your link that’s a great aftermarket part, I do like O’Reilly parts too. thanks again Jeff Hollander!!
James Foster Hey James you definitely can however it will be a temporary fix, i’m not sure how long it’ll hold but please keep us updated on your success with that type of patch Unfortunately these hoses have a defect that come from factory where they rust out and leak inside of the grommets so if you’re going to put new grommets as well make sure to grease them up first to extend their life!! Thanks for your feed back and please leave a LIKE & SUBB if we were able to help 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Dreamcatcher C Hey Dreamcatcher it may or may not work but it’s risky and dangerous as you can boil the liquid or catch it on fire. I’ve heard of some guys letting their truck run for a few hours prior to trying to pull it off too. You also want to be careful to no ruin the mini cooler. I would much rather use a lot of liquid wrench or soak it WD-40 for a few hours or cutting the rubber hose off at one end and using a pair of vise grips to twist it off!! Either way let us know what you chose to get it off!?! Update us with your success on repairing it!! Please leave a LIKE and SUBB if we were able to help 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the help guys. I got lucky and it slid right back in place. Using cold rolled steel on these was such a dumb idea. It's only a matter of time before the other line goes.
Hey Tyler Foute, that’s great to hear!! Thanks for the Feed Back, and you’re most welcome! Happy to have helped! If you haven’t already, Drop a LIKE & SUBB For more useful Vids in the future!! Thanks again!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
