Before replacing pump fovthis issue .. there is a filter in the reservoir that puts air in the system replace reservoir 15 flush the system fill and burp the system guaranteed fix

look up rack pinion slipper clutch adjustment. my wheels kinda slip doing turns... adjust the slipper clutch which tightens the grip on the pinion, preventing steering play

I think I have a leak at the top hose that's connected to my power steering reservoir because the fluid seems to be leaking but stops leaking at a certain point. I think there's a crack at the top of the rubber hose somewhere around the clip since the top of the hose was kinda yucky.
Hi mate I think I have the same issue because I've been filling it up then normally but oils coming from the top hoses somewhere...but not sure if it is untill I give it a degrease n pressure wash and if this is common and not from the power steering pump or rack then I'm happy if not..my 5 series has only done 135ks
And on the ground in my shed it's only leaking on that one side power steering reservoir side
I keep blowing low pressure return lines. The low pressure line is clear from the rack to the pump and the steering line radiator is free flowing as well. Is my new pump putting out to much pressure? Could I have a blown seal inside the rack that’s allowing high pressure by? 2002 Chevy trailblazer. Oreily power steering fluid to thick??

The issue im having right now is that when i turn right it turns fine, but when i turn left it feels like there is no power steering
My Honda van was making a loud noise when I turned my steering wheel. I took it in for repair they said it was the power steering pump and replaced it. Now 2 weeks later it's making the same noise and the same shop now says it my power steering pressure hose which can make the same noise as the power steering pump. Was this a mis-diagnose or can it possibly be both the power steering pump and the power steering pressure hose going out at the same time?
Assuming your Honda is a little bit old yes. The most common issue is assuming it’s the power steering pump. Now the hose pressure should’ve been checked when the new pump was installed that’s when you could’ve determined it was a hose issue also

My truck squeals when it starts up , but after i drive it for a few it stops , I put a brand new belt on, new idler pulley & belt tensioner pulley , now leaning towards power steering pump?
Make sure to use new OEM not remanufactured PS pump.

My power steering fluid literally looks like oil and when I turn right or left the steering wheel gets sticky, then jerks really hard to whatever way I was turning. Hard to explain

Changue the fluid.
Mine jerks away from direction i was steering when i let go. Meaning power assistance is failing.

My 2014 accord’s steering wheel even in park will shake when I turn the wheel even slightly. Started the other day then was perfectly fine for a day and the shop couldn’t figure out the issue. Now it’s fucked again.
After replacing the power steering lines and rack I had power steering for a while and now it is hard again. I don’t see any leaks. Also no sound coming from the pump. Do you think I have a bad power steering pump?
Could be the internal pressure valve. Clogged of defective.
Probably Rack and Pinion
Possibly air bubble stopped the flow. Air locked in system.

great vid, i sub'sd! thank you so much.......but i am confused, i am getting NO engine light or steering light on my dash, but im getting creeking /stressing sound (all ball joints are good) when turn the wheels left to right, in park in idle, they say to fill the fluid, but there is no leaks, and my 2014 has an electric ps motor, so how is filling the tranny box w ATF going to get to the EPS when its electric, nor do i want to over fill the tranny box???? i believe they are not connected in anyway. Could it just be a bad EPS sytstem, w/ 105k miles? it steers fine no noises when i m driving for now or i cant hear it, please help, thank you so much!
I have a mini2007cooper s power steering fails after about30 minutes you stop the car and no more power steering until car cools down have changed the pump but still the same problem

Had none of these symptoms. Got stuck in a parking lot this morning, got back into truck turned it on and couldn’t even turn anymore. Fluids looked alright, belt was good and the steering rack was replaced 9,000km ago…so confused

@@boomer1049 steering rack went. Dealership says they replaced it 9,000km ago with an aftermarket one so I made them pay for it and stuck them with the 4K bill

Dealership should use OEM. Complain to the manufacturer.

Can the PS pump cause rattle/clunking noise when the engine is idling?
I have some vibrations thatbare getting harsher as the engine gets hot and it's mainly at idle.
Also when it's idling and I'm moving the steering wheel it it vibrates like hell and it makes a lot of noise.
Could it be that?

This exact thing happened to my sons 08 sante fe. Rattling noise. Steering wheel vibrates a little when idle. Massive power steering leak and my fluid is murky brown. I need to replace rack and pinion, hoses, and pump.

My power steering fluid was leaking for a while, recently it had some clicking noises and groaning noises but right after the pump went out, my car overheated. What would cause that?
As the steering pump get older it gets harder for it to spin. Causing the engine to work harder to spin the pump

I have none of those symptoms. I only have whining and groaning when turning the wheel.
Check out the videos of the high pressure hose line on what ever car you have before you replace the pump

@martysmith8657 if you having bubbles in your reservoir it still can be the pump or something stopped up

Nothing this guy says is correct. My wheel is hard to turn. No sound, no leak nothing, just bad luck. Sometimes it's easy to turn. Sometimes easy impossible to diagnose. Everything in my life is is terrible.

Hi! recently i drove down into a ditch filled with snow. Was about maybe 30-40 km/h. The crash was not hard but the tires got filled with snow. When we pulled me out i hit the throttle to reverse (bad decisions ive heard later). Eitherway. Now i have powersteering leakage. The plastic coverage(protectors) are intact and no damages. Got me wondering what may be leaking? anyone with knowlede who can guide me?
