i m american married 2 Pinay and we live in Cebu City...we+2 Swiss friends and their Pinay wives did 7+day trip around Negros Island.. starting in Dumaguete City..awesome City as is thee reest of Cities..AWESOME PEOPLE all over thee 4th largest Island and thee food will kick your tongue out...BEAUTIFUL CULTURE..i have lived in Cebu City-Cebu Island since 2014 also a must see and have never regretted thee move and 4 sure not miss u.s.a.......there r so many AWESOME PLACES-ISLANDS 2 C in thee Philippines..BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY-PEOPLE...if not know how to behave...PLEASE no come here...

As of March 16, 2020, all flights from Dumaguete City to Manila has been canceled by the president until further notice. Travelling is highly discouraged to all Filipino tourists due to the pandemic of the coronavirus in the country. Foreign tourists, however, may depart the country given the 72 hours window to fly home. Most hotels, restaurants, and shops have been closed all over Negros Oriental.
However, when everything settles back to normal, you can fly via Manila or Cebu airport to the Dumaguete Airport. Finding a hotel will also be easy. We hope you stay safe! Watch our latest videos to see the news update in Dumaguete City.

there is no guerrilla war on that particular island. as far as I know. I know there is further south on Mindanao...but as far as I know there are not in the Visayas region.
