The city itself is not only captivating but charming as well especially the newest park extension along the boulevard…if right on the water high end restaurants & souvenir shops are in these it would completely be known as the boardwalk of Dumaguete

I have been to 40 provinces in Philippines. I got stuck in Duma for a year then... I also convinced another American guy to stay for a year. He was only visiting for a night. But we stayed for an entire year. I love Valencia and Dauin, they are so close to Dumaguete, I think of them as one city. Tourist do not need to go to the BLVD. Leave that to the locals. The UGLIEST thing in Dumaguete is that Selfie Spot on the Rizal Blvd. Siliman Alumnis should pay to DEMOLISH that hideous Selfie Spot that makes Duma look cheap and backward. That Selfie Spot destroys what is the most charming board walk in Asia. Food in Dumaguete is not to die for. Unless you are eating European cuisine in some expensive restaurant. The Lechon is so yummy though.
where do i get medical insurance ??I am 72 ???
Our uneducated guess would be, to get a insurance at a insurance company rather than a touristic info-channel about Dumaguete and Negros Oriental on TH-cam.
However, our experience shows also, that any insurance broker and insurance company may need more information than "I am 72 and need insurance".

Silliman beach is insanely dirty, and certainly no place by any means we would like to send guests of Dumaguete to.
