And play the piano. It's just not fair on everyone else. But descriptions aside it's the looks of disbelief and sheer amazement that keeps me watching them. I just enjoy sharing the love.

Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, growin' like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
All my memories gather 'round her
Miner's lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice in the mornin' hour, she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
Drivin' down the road, I get a feelin'
That I should've been home yesterday, yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Take me home, down country roads

I am a proud mountaineer like my daddy before me. My dad (who also sang bass) was a big fan of John Denver's version of this before he passed two years ago and I can tell you right now like me he'd have been a huge fan of this version just as much! Amazing job!
RIP to your dad
The range of his voice and the depth of control he has is nothing short of a miracle. This man is truly blessed with a gifted voice.
geoffs hair is truly a thing of beauty in this
It was...is. It is
@@cassidys5467 true, true. "Is" is better than "was"
I'm speechless, I've been singing for years and have tons of friends with deep bass voices and yours is so extremely unique something I've never heard before - Amazing. I really enjoyed your bassfied rendition!
Thank you for the homage paid to John Denver. I was in high school when this song was released. Love it now as much as I did then. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I've only discovered you within in the last 1 or 2 months my fav artist of 2023 by far. Your amazing Geoff
When you like it even though it hasn't even started yet xD
my heart is just ready for some lowness or highness... just range in general
As a West Virginian I’m very very excited for this
Me too. WV Proud
As well you should be.
As a non West Virginian I am also
Florida, sandy road and Spanish moss included, should be insulted, though.
WV pride
I have roots in West Virginia. They were cut off by a divorce between my parents. I found this version extremely moving, thank you and God bless you.
I'm a long-time John Denver fan and have always appreciated his skill with crafting songs as well as his passion for the world around him and I think he would be honored to see how you not only kept the song alive to share with another generation but also used this platform to show of the beauty that can be found in the simple things. Wonderful performance!
The description saying "No need to thank me, your comments about the wind blowing in my hair are thanks enough." is very true. Your hair in the wind looks amazing
Geoff, I'm old, I don't need the sing along words. I learned when it was new. LOL! I love your take on it. It takes me back. :) thank you!
I get sad... every time he stops singing...what a once century voice. Thank you Geoff, just for being you!
Love it! Country is the best genre for Bass Singers like us! That's why I would recommend a Johnny Cash Song for your next cover! Maybe "God's Gonna Cut You Down" or "Ain't No Grave"? 🙏🏼🎶❤️
We love you Geoff!
Deine Stimme ist so beeindruckend
I'm a simple man.. i see Geoff, i click.
I'm an even simpler woman. I see Geoff then see the title and say "I shouldn't"
... before I even realise I'm looking at it, not even the comments, it's just Geoff and his singing.
2:08. My soul left me a few times in this song, but it was at this particular moment when it decided not to come back. You knocked this out of all the ball parks.
Geoff Castelucci + Tim Foust + Avi Kaplan + Josh Turner = one epic basso profundo bone melting treat.
Yes Yes Yes! Need that
Definitely and absolutely
They will blow the whole world 🌍 apart…..Dunno about just speaker 🔈 systems…..❤
But who will be Bass and who will be Tenor? 🤔
@@FireKiller70 they'll take turns
This will entertain me as I travel home from school on my country roads. Thank you Geoff. Now all we need is Blinding lights cover
Absolutely gorgeous, both the voice and the man. I'm happily speechless. ❤
This is beautifully done. My first job out of college took me to West Virginia. It was my first move away from home. I have a LOT of memories tied up in that song. Thank you, Geoff, for a truly wonderful rendition and a walk down memory lane. 💕
Dearest Geoff, I am 23 years past menopause, and your singing turns my hormones back on. Thanks.

My son have become huge fans he’s 10 all are voices match in sequence it sounds amazing

Me at 1:06 - KITTY
That wasn’t a cat that was a CHONK
Literally did the exact same thing and then I saw this comment. Absolutely golden!
Lol
Omg. I just did this 😂
That was a floof a big floof
Sounds like velvet, looks like a romance novel cover. Nice.
I just found out you are only one guys with different posses, I thought there were four of you.
You got me laughing, stinker. Love your videos and that beautiful voice of yours . Wishing you happiness and much success. ❤❤❤
Always impressive. Saying you have a gift would cut you short. Serious praise for your dedication, practice and training.
Showed this to my daughter who LOVES cows, she loved the whole video and said "Mom he's absolutely stunning. I forgot about the cows." Your voice is beautiful!
I sympathize with your daughter
That’s so cute!! His voice surely is beautiful
There were cows in this video? Lol !!!
What cows?
He looks like an angel 😭
No fair! I'm a barrel chested (some might say tubby, including myself) bass with a chest volume that Geoff could literally call a comfy home.... and he outbasses me by a mile!
I absolutely taken a back. I was blessed or cursed (depending on how one looks at it). By a very deep voice. I've never heard of Geoff. This just popped up and played after " a man of constant sorrow" by Home Free. Just WOW!!!! This made my day and its only 6am. It was great to sing in the same tone as the artist on a song that i know every word.
Unbelievable beautiful. As always! Anyone else think an arrangement of Geoff singing three wooden crosses would bring tears?
As a WV native hearing this version is stunning. You did the song with the honor it gets here every time it's played or sang.
I've watched a lot of those videos reviewing Geoff and Voiceplay and seen him described as a dragon, not of this world, and someoe who steals other peoples' voices, as no one can possibly do all that. And play the piano. It's just not fair on everyone else. But descriptions aside it's the looks of disbelief and sheer amazement that keeps me watching them. I just enjoy sharing the love.
Sang, sir! Sang! Bass, baritone, tenor... I honestly don't think it matters. You just sang it! Your talent is really just so fun to listen to. Just listening to all the parts, the mixing, and the programming. I have done sound for forever, and no soundman can create the talent you have. I say just keep having fun and never stop developing. Because watching these videos and kind of following your work is just splendid fun.
His voice makes me calm
This song is one of my favorites and I love his style so this song match so well ❤❤❤
2:13 My man channeled his inner Austin Brown for those tenor parts
Sounds just like him lol
@@paxtongray8985 I thought it was just me. 😂
It for real sounds like Austin....like there’s even country twang....
We deserve a collab!!!!
A LOT of people -- including myself -- heard Austin in Geoff's tenor parts. Geoff is truly amazing!
I got to admit being from West Virginia. I thought no one could amount to John Denver and by God you did it justice John Denver would be proud
I came here to say how much I wish John Denver could be alive to hear this. I know he'd love it.
Damn that fuel supply lever anyway...
Totally agree!!!
They have a decent version in the KINGS MAN golden circle
He is not actually in West Virginia In this video, he is in Florida
I'm from the UK and I love the ranch culture of America so much! This made me super happy! Thanks Geoff!
John Denver is my favorite artist! Great job on this cover of one his hits!!
Me: I’m not much of a country music fan 🤷🏻♀️
Geoff: almost Heaven-

Hi Geoff, I'm a West Virginia gal and I have to say that you sir are an absolutely incredible vocalist!! I can tell that the video wasn't shot in West Virginia though. The mountains are missing. 🙂 lol Thanks for sharing your talent!
He does say in the description that it was filmed in Florida.
As a Virginian (WV’s better half) that’s the first thing I noticed. The dirt isn’t that Godawful red clay of the Appalachians.
Thank you Geoff!!! Beautiful rendition of Country Roads!!!
@@bluewolf993 And there’s the reason WEST Virginia separated from Virginia! Virginia is certainly NOT the better half but it seems the old arrogance still runs strong there, even after 150+ years. Lol West Virginian’s stuck by Their country (hence why we separated ourselves from VA)-Virginia cannot say the same. Nuff said. 😊 oh, btw not all West Virginian’s are uneducated, mountain folk. Some of us are intelligent, edumacated, hillbillies 😉
A glimpse of heaven is seeing FIVE Geoffs lounging against a farm gate. Woooo! 😏That is too much for this Ohio country girl. This video/song remains my very favorite from him. 🥰
I was trying to hit his low register and just strained my voice. Damn, that low register is such a beautiful sound.
Love this song. This man has got to have one of the best vocals I’ve heard in a long time. John Denver would be proud just like Johnny Cash would be if the cover this very talented did.
