@@Mk-it6cr always that one guy that hates on a certain game eh? boring? Lmao its simplicity is what makes it good. The game is focused on the enemy and bosses. You shouldn’t have to remember and worry about complex combos and movesets. You don’t know what you’re talking about; souls series is one of the most beloved franchise today, nice try kid, go to bed.
It's pronounced "Eye-core" not "ick-er" Also I have to say the combat in this game is much better than any other souls or souls like game, it's faster and much much more responsive. I don't feel like there is a massive delay from when I press a button to when my character does something. And the best of all to me personally, the dodge is actually a dodge and not a timing block. Honestly why term it a dodge when it's nothing but a timed block... never understood that. Still the controls in this game are massively more responsive none the less. Over all good tips other than the terrible bit of mispronouncing ichor. lol
I do agree in sense, but I wouldn't say the other souls like games were less responsive it's just that some weapon animations took longer to do and if you press dodge while in the middle of an animation your stuck and you'll get hit, but in this game you can cancel an animation to dodge so I kind of agree but also not.
@@hardcoregamer739 In the souls games it's like your character is in water so everything takes a while to do and they have a weird sequential thing with button presses, you can't break a combo with a press of the "dodge" button. Which is extremely vexing at times which I suppose is the point it is a rage game after all. Not saying it's patently bad or worse but for the non masochistic type that is bad. Sure sure it means you have to actually think out what you are going to do but it royally screws you when things go fubar and they do generally. xD
Back when I played Demon Souls and found that whole dark souls genre absolutely annoying, Code Vein is actually perfect, plays like a game, not a masochist simulator.
Simply the mechanics of hardcore Arpg's. Every time you rest at a Mistle they respawn. It's basicly 90% like the souls series. Wipe a map clean, rest, and they all respawn again. That's how you can farm mats, blood etc. :)
Wow i just looked that up, i had no idea i was pronouncing it wrong this whole time. I was pronouncing it ikkur because it sounded correct, but i guess not. I was wondering why they were pronouncing it "wrong" in-cutscene but they're actually saying it correctly.
No matter what video I watch on this game there are a slew of angry DS fans trying to destroy the hype. It's a solid game. Get over it. Go play Sekiro if you dobt like RPG elements and customization. Fromsoft made that game for you hardcore bastards.
if your going to tell a button combination to do the moves = include all the platforms the game is on otherwise you sound like your speaking gibberish to those who do not have the buttons you say.
Although this may be the next game to sate my Souls-Game Fire, there doesnt seem to be anything interesting in the combat other than the Blood Codes, not only that, the combat looks like Lords of the Fallen, with its Motion Capture animations and it seems like everysingle attack bosses make or the enemy's make seem to be using Motion Capture, and the ripostes look weird, like it doesnt seem to feel satifying.
Hadnt got to play it yet but I bought the pc deluxe edition off cdkeys for $51, which is a much better deal than most places. I haven’t checked but I’m betting ultrawide isn’t supported, its crazy ultrawide resolutions are way more common now and it should be an option for any new pc game. Im sure i can edit it in but sometimes it makes it looked stretched. Might just install it on my second rig 3900x and radeon vii which has a 1440p display, my main gaming system an 8700k and 2080ti are on the 3440x1440 dell alienware display. I also want to try out remnant fall from ashes. Damn bought way too many games lately Borderlands 3, Astral Chains, Code Vein, Zelda Links Awakening, Dragon Quest XI Switch and still might pick up Remnant and Control, and Ni No Kuni (i love me some jrpg’s on a handheld device oh and bought gears of war 5 even though i have game pass i like to collect games bought it for the one x. It’s sad its not selling good i think because of game pass but its one of the best gears of war game if not the best and is optimized well for pc, unlike borderlands 3 which takes way more gpu power than it should for its graphics.

I don’t mean to be rude, but... I can’t really tell if this is sarcastic. They showed little to no knowledge of the game mechanics in their review and even outright lied about several details. Of all the major reviews for the game so far, it was by far the worst.
@@thepearled0120 Exactly, it seems to me that because the company didn't give those critics a decent pay they just wanted to bury the game. For the review both in Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 they played the game some days later, which means the company had time to fix major bugs, and played for a decent amount of hours before even reviewing. But for Code Vein they released the review the first day of release, which means the company didn't have time to fix any major bugs unlike From Software, they just haven't played for more than an hour in order to know the game well enough. And worst of all, they didn't even review the game, they only review the demo that came like 4 months ago.
@Rean Bean Yes, go see their review on Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 and then on Code Vein. Also see what day those games had been released, and then the day they released the reviews for those games. You will see that they just wanted to bury Code Vein the way they made their review, probably because they didn't get a paycheck for it or simply because it isn't Dark Souls enough.
UltraGamerHere For real. Several details were about things that were in the demo but changed in the final game (such as when they talked about the matchmaking system). On top of that, not a single cutscene or event after the demo was shown in the review as far as I can remember. It was absurd how badly they cobbled it together, one of their most embarrassing reviews yet.
I really want to buy this game but when I played the demo I got really disappointed with the clunky combat mechanics(weight, dodge frames, sliding/get's pushed a lot, no stagger/super armor on every enemies, etc) looks like I'm not playing it the right way and played it like any souls game.. I'll try the demo again, thanks for the video..
I know this is a Dark Souls knockoff, but damn they didnt even attempt to disguise Anor Londo the anime version at all. I kept looking for the archers the entire time it was shown
Can't really compare this to souls, since this game's difficulty isn't even that hard, it was like more or less on God Eater and MHW setting where you can grind then own.
I can grind on Dark Souls 3 and own too. The only difference is the super strong NPCs Code Vein lets you have. Just play it on solo for a better challenge

@@HarbingerMills I got that that's pretty simple but the way this system is set up leveling up doesn't seem to do much nor does upgrading blood veils. I get hit once and about 1/3 of my HP is gone. Healing only recovers about 1/5 or 1/6. And god forbid I get caught in a multihit attack.
@@vasylpark2149 blocking is the only true damage midigator, it seems. Plus, your blood code and veil have a hand in your stats. So use a blood code with high vitality and dexterity.
Also, use a blood veil that scales well with your blood code
@@HarbingerMills okay thanks
I find code veins combat much more fun, with all those special attacks you can cast. I find the dark souls combat boring compaired to code vein.
Code Vein combat is so stiff. Dark souls is just smooth. Yes it doesn’t have the flashy moves Code Vein has but Dark Souls combat is simple and it works.
DS is much more realistic with physics and everything else
@@fireemblemheroeshardcore4934 oh yeah, very realistic, a stick of a dude swinging around 2 swords twice their size all the while dressed in an armor so heavy no actual human would be able to move in that, yeah, VERY realistic...
@@kevinc.cucumber3697 always that one guy to try to defend dark souls very slugish combat eh, dude, dark souls combat is "boring" thats why they tryied to make it a bit more fun by adding weapon arts in 3.
Fextralife is the shit
It's pronounced "Eye-core" not "ick-er"
Also I have to say the combat in this game is much better than any other souls or souls like game, it's faster and much much more responsive.
Sure sure it means you have to actually think out what you are going to do but it royally screws you when things go fubar and they do generally. xD
30 frames vs 60.
The animations are actually from the ps2 area in CV.
Back when I played Demon Souls and found that whole dark souls genre absolutely annoying, Code Vein is actually perfect, plays like a game, not a masochist simulator.
Lmao; play Code Vein single/solo like it's default in DS once and feel the masochism 10 times harder than in any Souls-title XDD
@@silvercrystal3 Having your girl anime character die repeatedly is painful.
I disagree about souls being more polished combat the only thing souls has over code vein is better back stab hitboxes
Rusty Blader and effective weapon range.... weapon range sucks dick in this game. They need to fix it.
@@rocketscientist14 agreed, the range is way smaller than the weapon itself, makes no sense.
Why is it every time I lose, all the enemies I struggled to defeat re-appear again its like its not even saving or what dafuq?
Simply the mechanics of hardcore Arpg's. Every time you rest at a Mistle they respawn. It's basicly 90% like the souls series. Wipe a map clean, rest, and they all respawn again. That's how you can farm mats, blood etc. :)
I am too hype lol
Eye-Core not ighcur
@iori1391 no it's Icor bit you pronounce it eye-core
I play it on pc bought for ps4 the controls are horrible cant find not one video explaining how to change controls waist of money
This Game is really nice but that30 fps on Xbox one x is a big minus
console are the big jokes, they're all rip off,
The cringe every time he says ichor wrong aaaaaah
Wow i just looked that up, i had no idea i was pronouncing it wrong this whole time. I was pronouncing it ikkur because it sounded correct, but i guess not. I was wondering why they were pronouncing it "wrong" in-cutscene but they're actually saying it correctly.
It's eyecore silly buns. Not iker.
thought the same thing, he said icker soo many times lol
Yep it bothered me too, also the drain attack is not circle on ps4 is x.
Ikr its almost as annoying as the amount of people correcting him in the comments............
No matter what video I watch on this game there are a slew of angry DS fans trying to destroy the hype. It's a solid game. Get over it. Go play Sekiro if you dobt like RPG elements and customization. Fromsoft made that game for you hardcore bastards.
Don't*
so....so....that's it !! no more SEKIRO?? NO DLC??? SNIFF SNIFF NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
This is from a different studio and publisher. Fromsoftware might do more with Sekiro, we’ll be on it for sure if it happens!
I like this game but the class system is weird
NO pvp right?
None as of now.
if your going to tell a button combination to do the moves = include all the platforms the game is on otherwise you sound like your speaking gibberish to those who do not have the buttons you say.
I think your old enough to figure that out yourself come on.
@@-pressxtostart- thats literally not an excuse if your making a guide ... guide otherwise whats the point
No prometheus? That's found right after the first mission lol
that specializes in almost everything early game, too op I guess.
1st top tips alway goes for female character cause you might regret it later at midgame
You have to play it yourself, have you tried the demo? It's really smooth and while the combat isn't as complex as DS it's still fun in its own way.
kingdom hearts 3 opening
Ok
I - KOR. Not Ikker. I-kor. God damn.

Best tip I can offer is to watch the IGN review. It’s packed with detail
Those fucking losers rated it with a 7 while only playing the demo for a couple of minutes.
UltraGamerHere
For real.
@jonny s if you like it, good for you then..
Is it worth to play this game for the waifus?
not arpg tho.
Unnecessary complicated. Games these days are like learning a program
Pronounced: ēē-kor (ē-is my attempt to convey a long E sound) LOL
I know this is a Dark Souls knockoff, but damn they didnt even attempt to disguise Anor Londo the anime version at all. I kept looking for the archers the entire time it was shown
Personally though its a rip of or reskin, but its a totally different game. I dont think that its a right thing to even compare this to souls.
They did it on purpose. Not a bad feature.
Ha, icker. 🤪
Repeat after me; "Eye Core."
"New to code vein" Game just came out brah, Settle your britches, you're new to Code vein too.
KuhntaSmash they’ve been playing demos and play tests for nearly 2 years now. They are the experienced players
yeet
Code Vein plays like a hybrid of Bloodborne/Dark Souls III and Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen.
how does no one else notice this?
Reminds me more of pokemon + monopoly
Can't really compare this to souls, since this game's difficulty isn't even that hard, it was like more or less on God Eater and MHW setting where you can grind then own.
I can grind on Dark Souls 3 and own too. The only difference is the super strong NPCs Code Vein lets you have. Just play it on solo for a better challenge
