Just tried to build and price this on Ford’s website. How on God’s green earth is that $80K+? Ford really needs to do a price reset. This is ridiculous.
If I was buying an f150 right now and have some big bucks in my pocket I would go all in and get myself a raptor r. I can listen to that engine all day. Music to my ears
Cool truck!! The tremor is one of the best trims out there! You can even get a winch on the front of that truck which would also look cool too on the tremor!! Definitely the best route to go for off roading on trails!
It’s a dang shame the Torsen Front axel isn’t standard on all Tremor models. Now the only way to get the Torsen is get the higher trim package, for close to 80k. What makes the Tremor one of the best off the lot 4x4s is the trail turn assist, locking rear axle, and the Torsen front end. If you can’t get the Torsen on the lower trim package might as well buy an STX and use the extra money to build a capable off road truck.
It doesn’t make sense for Ford to include it as an option on this particular trim level because of the customer demographic. If you want a ford and need a long bed, you likely will be buying an f250, a base model f150, something that is WORK TRUCK, right? That’s just my thoughts
Steel bumper and tow hooks. Toyota take note. Not a fan of the new front-end. I like prior version better. Racey how about the composite box and rear fenders? 😂 $64k does not get you in this Tremor. This one has the 402a package on it.
What a great truck for farm work as well as fun. Love the extra front metal protection, the tailgate door, and that trusty V8 power! For all this, the convenient tech, the excellent styling and comfort, and the years of faithful service this truck could provide, 64000 might not be such an outlandish price.
The real 'Zonk' here is no 6.5ft box option. Some of us need/want the bigger box and while yes, it wouldn't be quite as good off-road, one foot longer isn't going to squash its capabilities but that extra foot can make all the difference for what some of us are using our trucks for.
I was super uncertain about the amber running lights for select models at first, but I have to admit, that look is growing on me. I think it really looks sinister to have just an orange glow like that. I definitely prefer the amber running lights over the full white drl now.
I wish it was available with a standard size bed and extended cab. The stubby bed looks weird and isn’t long enough for many things. It’s great that Ford also offers the locking rear differential in the real trucks too. I use my locker sometimes.
@@davidporter7051 wtf are you talking about? You are yammering out of ignorance and bias. The GEN3/GEN4 Coyotes are by far the best powertrains ever put in a 1/2 ton truck. I own 3 trucks, a 03 Lightning, 17 F150 501A crew/4x4, GEN2 3.5L/10R80, and 18 F150 302A crew/FX4, GEN3 Coyote/10R80. I don't think there's 1 other half ton within 2 seconds of running with a 18+ 5L truck on a factory sealed engine. There are factory sealed bolton/tuned/NA Coyote trucks running 10's so again what are you talking about? You act like we're talking about F20C's. This isn't an S2000. The GEN3 Coyotes power feel way stronger than a L83 at any engine speed. It feels stronger than any sub-4" bore LS including your GEN3 5.7L's. In fact I've always claimed that a GEN3 Coyotes lowend power feels about like a LS2's or maybe an LS3's. It's not a GEN5 LT1 down low, but it's not some LS1 or Modular 4V that lugs, lugs, lugs, then suddenly surges to life around 4K RPM. GEN3 Coyote (real any GEN Coyote compared to your older SB V8's of the late 90's thru the 2,000's) is very linear and does a very good job of quickly getting right into its powerband. Is Coyote as strong down low as EB? No, but EB is nowhere near as strong down low as Terminator, or GT500, or LS9, or LT4, or Hellcat, especially when we start upping the PSI's. Plus Coyote doesn't lag. Look I'm not trying to dog out the EB because I own a GEN2 3.5L, and it's a good engine with a lot of charms, but there is noticeable lag with them even if it is brief. Plus while EB is refined, broad, linear, tunes well, it's no 3/4 or 1 ton diesel which the fanboys like to pretend it is, and compared to the Coyote the EB lack character, but that's okay, and that's why Ford still offers up the V8, and in fact it's the best tuner engine you can get in a 1/2 ton, especially when talking 18-23 5L trucks. For 24 Ford dropped the 5L's flex fuel, and added a GPF FTL. (gas particulate filter)
I like all trucks, Especially Ford However, I never had a Ram I would like to try one My 21 F 150, 2.7 T STX HHAS 91k on the odometer Had it at the dealership Michigan red squirrels chewed the wires $1,500 repair All good now This fall I plan on a standard cab with 8’ box 4x4 Good presentation Joe!
Had both. The ram is more luxurious and smoother riding. If yiu want luxury, get a ram. If yiu want a work truck, both will suffice but ford will. Be the choice
The trail turn isnt new for 24. My 23 has it. Really the only thing different is the front end and the tailgate/taillights. Everything else on the inside and the tech is the same. The driver screen has some different functionality, my 23 doesn't have the directional compass with the elevation readout, but mostly the same otherwise.
Nice truck, Ford has all the bases covered for the F-150. Luxury trim, base model trim, work truck, off road, and extreme off road. No other brand has as many trims.
The 2024 Tremor comes with a factory 36-gallon gas tank. The GMC Sierra AT4 has a 24 gallon gas tank. In California it is illegal to replace a factory gas tank with a larger capacity third party one. Off the road having 30% more range on a tank of gas is not trivial. My first 4WD vehicles had small gas tanks and I needed to attach carriers for 5-gallon jerry cans to have any range at all. Running out of gas 50 miles up a dirt road is serious and not something anyone should risk doing if they care about their life and that of their passengers. The Tremor lacks a High/Low transfer case and adding this option increases the price to $79,725. This is not a problem with the GMC Sierra AT4 that comes standard with hi-lo gear selection and locking rear differential and descent control. But for the small gas tank the GMC is the better truck and non California residents can pay $2,000 to have a larger gas tank installed.
It does come with a 2 speed transfer case (high/low) The upper model comes with a 'Hi-Lock' t case. Limited research tells me that is basically an auto 2spd. And yes, fully agree that the big tank is a huge selling point.
It's probably worth just getting the Raptor since the price is not too far from fully loaded Tremor. Also the Raptor has better resale value. It feels like the headlights are downgraded from the previous model!?
I like it. But as I'm getting older and retired, I'm doing less off-road and driving. It's has all the bells and whistles. I have Silverado Z71 RST 4×4. I'm downsizing, but I'm having a hardtime to let go the full-size truck. The midsized truck that comes in my mind is the Nissan Frontier. No offense to your presentation and Ford.
You are not in the $64K version. You are in the higher priced version that brings leather interior, cooled seat, heated steering wheel, the fancier tailgate and more. The 401A group is the "standard" Tremor. The 402A is the deluxe version which costs an additional $11,700. Yes it has nice features, but it pushes the truck with destination charge to almost $80K versus $66K. At the $80K price, you are talking base Raptor (but dealers are marking those up). I think the 401A package is a good compromise. It has most of the important features without the really high price.
Thanks for pointing that out. Because i was gonna say with all those features and packages there is no way its 64k. I get all those features on the Ram Laramie and its now passing the 60 to 75k price so if this Tremor is a 2024 with off road capabilities and all these luxeries i say you are right about the 77k to 83k price range
