its okay bro, what you are doing for the community is way better than the an issue with one car, an update from that car would be nice but not the end of the world, please keep building N/S63 and we hope soon you provide us some news on S68 engines, thank you

I just found your videos yesterday and I've been using them as a refresher for an S63 I'm starting to rebuild for an M6 (I removed and tore down the engine about a year ago then got busy with other projects). I don't comment too often on TH-cam but I wanted to say even though the car didn't run, the video series was extremely well done and very helpful for someone actually building the same engine. Thank you for the effort, it's very much appreciated even without the payoff of hearing it run.

Its very unfortunate, because Im also in a position where my car has been in the shop for a year now, and now we are dealing with compression issues. This is what comes with working on BMWs! I think the best thing to know going forward, is to trust your mechanic, and once acknowledged, give the mechanic the creative opportunity to showcase his work and be proud of it. You have to know what you're signing up for, and know that the pre-made budget most likely wont cut it lol. It never does.

with these high performance engines sometimes you have to bite the bullet and just go for it - I encourage people to go for a full rebuild sometimes instead of keep wasting money on trying to diagnose an issue just to end up rebuilding the engine at last - Again, this M5 owner paid $9.5k for another shop, they replaced 4 valve seals, lifters a bunch of un-necessary things when the actual issue was a bent rod causing the tick

Hi, it’s a complicated logistic specially because of the machine shop, sometimes they take a week to do the sleeves sometimes a month. If it wasn’t for that I’d say 1 week to remove the engine, dismantle and clean all parts then another two weeks to put everything together and have it running properly.

Just like someone in the comments said, get BMWs that are broken and need fixing and you will guarantee large success. Alex from Legitstreetcars just bought a 2009 x6 with the n63 for $3000 and fixed it for a few $100. There are not many that are tackling these engines and they jump away from them. You can find and fix the n63/s63 platform and a ton of us will watch religiously. The owner was an ass from the beginning with all this crap and used part BS. Don’t buy the car if you can’t afford a few hundred bucks to get what you need.
