When it reaches the point of “I need to record this person” typically the abuse or toxic dynamic has reached the point where leaving isn’t easy because your sense of reality has been so skewed by dealing with the type of person that makes you think “I need to record them”. Hope that makes sense 😅

Man. A high degree of difficulty. Could've gone wrong dozens of ways. And yet. You found it. You found it and you did it well. I can't do nothing but salute, brother.
Been recovering from covid this week, watched this and was in coughing fits every minute. Brilliant. Not a single judgement was made, no lies spoken - comedy at its purest. Amazing.
The lesson is to get out when it the relationship gets toxic. And leave before you cheat. Why cheat just communicate your desires have changed and leave. You don't want to hurt anyone as much as disrespecting them and wasting their time. Because karma is brutal.
true that, i think thats why josh jokingly said "this all started from his cheating" like if only he ended their relationship early and communicate, this probably aint gonna happened but he didn't, he still cheating and it cost him his job and reputation. i never heard anything good came out from relationships with a cheater, if only lots of people could learn to leave before they cheat.
Yeah, cheating is pointless. If you want the security of the person still being in a relationship, just treat them with respect. If you want someone else, go be with someone else without lying to anyone.
Why do people say this dumb shit over and over. If a cheater wanted to leave, then they'd leave. They don't want to leave, they want to f*ck multiple people while maintaining a relationship. It's not, "I want something else INSTEAD". It's, "I want something else IN ADDITION". If they leave, then there's nothing additional... This isn't complicated. Stop being deliberately ignorant of what's really going on.
@@JCPRuckus Please stop calling people ignorant. Being with multiple people without lying is called polyamory. Being an asshole and lying to multiple people on purpose when there was another way is called cheating. There's no reason for it.
@@LilDrummergurl48 - I'll stop saying people are being deliberately ignorant when they stop being deliberately ignorant. Wanting to sleep with multiple people doesn't imply wanting those people to sleep with multiple people as well. So polyamory is off the table, since you're probably going to have to agree to a reciprocal situation. But you knew that before you suggested polyamory, so, please, stop being deliberately ignorant.
If the other person who's recording has something wrong with them, it's probably being a victim. I recorded my ex because I heard no one will believe you. 🤷♀️
@k.h.307 - I will acknowledge that possibility. There are times I wish I had a recording of a traumatic event. But not everyone who records is a victim.
@@k.h.307 That's one side of it, but there's also another side where someone is an instigator until they get a reaction and THEN they turn the camera on to make the other person the bad guy. NOW when I see these types of "meltdown" videos, I know not to judge and instead ask "ok, what happened B4 u flipped on the camera?"
Except in cases of domestic abuse (as noted above), if you are recording, spying, or ‘following’ your partner to see their misdeeds, it’s already over. You know. You don’t need to see it. You need to leave. The happy ending is gone, and any more energy you spend on that relationship is a waste of your time, your self-respect, and your soul.
I know Josh is talented 'cause I just listened to him talk for 16 minutes about some shit that I have not even the foggiest notion of the story behind and it was still entertaining.
This was great, been following this guy for awhile now. His growth as a comedian has been amazing to watch. This stuff needs to be on a special, he’s been killing it these past few years.
Just want to tell you, I started watching you about 2 years ago. Man, you will be legendary. You’re already in Chapelle territory intellectually with how you think about things. Keep doing your thing and please DO NOT STOP! 💪
Y'all.. this man wrote 17 mins of material and just threw it away on TH-cam. No crowd work no nothing.. I can't wait to see what his actual set looks like!
I work outside a lot and I live in Oklahoma. This time of year is insane. You have kept me sane so thanks man. You have a gift but I gotta save this for work tomorrow.
OK I was >90% certain before, but now I _KNOW_ Josh is a comedy phenomenon - I almost never hit the notif bell but he nailed this so well that I had to do it just now! For someone to be so sensitive & emotionally intelligent, then for them to use that to IMPROVE the bit & make the dicey parts even funnier, is something special _(and clearly one of many killer tools he has available, kills me every time & from all kinds of angles)_
Im so serious about Josh being the next big thing in comedy. I really think hes got it all. Quick wit, strong stage presence, good timing, its all there.
This was not technically "live," but you were one of the first people to watch it online. You can set a video to have a "live premiere," even though it is pre-recorded. But Josh _has_ started doing a live news thing. The last one was Wednesday at 7pm EST.
Steadily becoming my favourite comedian. So funny that I forget my problems, but then empathetic and understanding enough on human nature and ethics that I start thinking about other people’s problems… 😂
Josh, you should've brought up the text messages that Jonathan's own lawyers brought into the case. It was so nad for him, dude. Dude injured the girl, she went to the hospital and he texted her not to because the cops will be involved and cops dont treat black ppl right so it would be her fault. It was crazy to read them and his lawyers thought they COOKED bringing that out for his defense
That doesn't prove anything. We don't know the full context of what happened or how she was injured. I agree, that those texts didn't help in the case. But still,' they prove nothing.
@@othmanehaldaoui it proves the guy is a goofey headed goober. That's what it proves. Telling someone they can't go to the hospital because they're white and you're black and cops will treat the black person bad is wild. Bringing those texts to court made his whole character worse. It was like those cases from cartoons or something.
Not true. They redacted a lot of the texts but she was taking painkillers sleeping pills daily with alcohol. She was exhibiting drug-seeking behavior and he didn't want her mess linked to him. After the car incident she went to the club with strangers and drank the rest of the night and then took pills at home. The doctors testified that she has alcoholism
That man ain't doa damn thang to that woman they set him up and we all know it all he done was dated the "wrong woman" and possibly pissed some of the behind the scenes type of ppl off one goes with the other
How you come up with new material every day is so good, and they're good takes - the empathy to see the real people but the objectivity to see where things get absurd. You could be on the Daily Show, and I think you'd do a good job.
Look man you're one of the greats. You better get incredibly famous. You're fantastic. God bless you. You make me laugh and man I need it. Thank you. Please don't stop! Unless you want to buy you are healing. Comedy heals. You're a healer man youre top notch.
To be fair Jonathan is crazy too 😂 This narrative of his girlfriend being the nutcase when he's cheating, running down streets, shoving her in cars, etc etc is wild because he's just as much of a participant.

So polyamory is off the table, since you're probably going to have to agree to a reciprocal situation. But you knew that before you suggested polyamory, so, please, stop being deliberately ignorant.
Yeah, the biggest red flag is feeling like you need to record your partner. There is either something wrong with you, them, or more likely both.
@@yesterdayitrained - that is fair. To protect yourself, to protect your child - just about anything is reasonable.
He was litterally telling her I'm going to cheat I need you to deal with it 😂😂😂
This young man has better relationship advice than most family therapists lol.
I know Josh is talented 'cause I just listened to him talk for 16 minutes about some shit that I have not even the foggiest notion of the story behind and it was still entertaining.
me, too.
i looked the guy up. he was a naughty boy !!
This is how I get my current news 😂
"That man look 46 from 1958..." 🤣☠️
That was crazy😂😂😂
Best ending ever 😂 I repeated that part a few times.
@@Kayzi19 lol same
I love this special! He perfectly humanizes both people in this situation, and gives a lesson from this situation in an entertaining way!
💯💯💯
Definitely! Gets a good angle on both sides of the fence.
He really shouldn't have though. I don't why feel the need to "both sides" DV when the woman is the perpetrator and the man is the victim.
First time seeing this young man, and I am impressed by his intellect, insight, and humor. Truly enjoyable. He’s a rare gem.
The Malcolm X reference... whew.... that was HIGHlarious!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣
“He looks like a Time Traveler”
Kang: Ouch…..
Great content ❤ I hope u land a late night show ASAP cuz I need it
Absolutely nailed this as always. Josh you're amazing 🤣🤣🤣
Someone give this guy a special already!!! Been watching him for a few years and his growth is impeccable
This is hilarious, insightful, and very conversational - Great delivery from start to finish 👏🏾
Every time anything happens in the news I can't wait for Josh to cover it 😂😂
This was great, been following this guy for awhile now. His growth as a comedian has been amazing to watch. This stuff needs to be on a special, he’s been killing it these past few years.
Made me laugh...Thanks Josh for always coming through
Just want to tell you, I started watching you about 2 years ago.
Yes he needs to stop before the masses figure out he’s actually from the past 😭😂
I can’t stop watching this on repeat. Best laughs I’ve had in a long time ❤😂
The lesson for today, " Date within your own weight class"😂😂😂
15:38 “46 from 1958. …Sepia tone”
I’m dead
"if you need to record the person you are dating, break up with them" solid advice
I have no idea who those people are, what happened, or anything, but this was hilarious and I legit laughed out loud.
Jonathon Majors played the opponent in Creed 3, and the villain in a couple of Marvel projects.
@elaexplorer That's the ideal position to be in lol 🎉
Same.
I had to stop watching, look it up come back and finish
I thought Jonathan Majors was older than me! Instead, he's 8 years younger. That is weird.
you do NOT look 42.
...you have so much laughter in your eyes, like you're laughing without laughing.
Same! I'm 2 years older than JM, and I thought he was older than me until now.
Yeah time is totally licking toads these days 😂
I almost fell on my kitchen floor laughing at this set. Phenomenal jokes, Josh.
I'm going to start telling my son "I need you to be Malcolm X" every time he doesnt complete his chores 😂
😂 word
Choose your partners wisely people
I agree
watching this live was truly special. my sides were hurting by the end of this set. josh is the best doing it rn!
I work outside a lot and I live in Oklahoma. This time of year is insane. You have kept me sane so thanks man. You have a gift but I gotta save this for work tomorrow.
This set was particularly great, Josh. 🙌
When Disney hired him to be Kang they were thinking the same thing Josh was “he looks like a time traveler”
Josh, you always kill with your topical humor. A true genius 🤩
the "i'm a nice guy" moment lmaoo
This is the most mature take on this topic I’ve heard. 👏🏾👏🏾 and funny as heck….
OMFG that Malcom X line killed me 😂😅😂
BRO! Hilarious! Excellent craft work at storytelling as well. Can see this comic going very far
The daily show needs you! Only way I would watch them again is if you hosting it. Absolutely brilliant set!
If he does, he will become way less funny.
Oh that is a nice shout. Very nice.
The daily show would ruin him
Isn't Josh a writer for the Daily show?
Im so serious about Josh being the next big thing in comedy. I really think hes got it all. Quick wit, strong stage presence, good timing, its all there.
This is great and being able to catch it live is awesome. First time ever seen a comic do this👍🏽
This was not technically "live," but you were one of the first people to watch it online. You can set a video to have a "live premiere," even though it is pre-recorded.
But Josh _has_ started doing a live news thing. The last one was Wednesday at 7pm EST.
Thank you for the info.
You killed this!!! Great job, your timing is perfect! Hope to see big things from you in the future!!
This popped up on my feed this morning. I loved it! You have a solid delivery and an enjoyable stage presence.
thank you for cheering us all up! such a wonderful job you have ❤🎉
Steadily becoming my favourite comedian.
@@othmanehaldaoui and that's exactly what they commented. They did not say anything about proof, they said that it made him look bad.
Yup he knocked her azz upside the head 😂
I'm gonna have to keep up with your career. This is great stuff! Your jokes are so well crafted!!
“All that creed 3…you over here just eatN shots…if somebody do this, you this” lmao
This guy is the next comedy great of this generation. Can’t wait to see his shows in 10 years!
I agree! This popped in my feed, and I’m like, damn, this dude is great! Waiting on what he was going to say next, and how he was going to say it.
Dude, you just keep creating so much solid material. It's impressive, and more importantly, it's so funny.
Went to college with Majors. It's sad to see what's happened to him. I wasn't an actor but as a person of color in the arts, I looked up to him.
That man ain't doa damn thang to that woman they set him up and we all know it all he done was dated the "wrong woman" and possibly pissed some of the behind the scenes type of ppl off one goes with the other

@@sondraedwards5205😂😂😂
Sounds like you have a lot in common with the man. Bet you've had your hands on plenty of women.@@sondraedwards5205
U still can. He made a bad choice by picking a drunk idiot. His bad choice shouldn't define him as a person nor his career. #Justice4Jonathan .
Fantastic! Keep up the good work. I have tears in my eyes from laughing.
Amazing. I laughed from beginning to end. Can’t wait to see your first 1hour special! 😂
Another great set. So entertaining. It feels like the biggest lesson is to break up with crazy when you're doing well before it destroys you.
To be fair Jonathan is crazy too 😂 This narrative of his girlfriend being the nutcase when he's cheating, running down streets, shoving her in cars, etc etc is wild because he's just as much of a participant.
This is so my style of comedy. Easy, intelligent, conversational, witty and personable. I would love to see you live. Keep up the great work!
