Honest question from a huge fan: Is it tough being a comedian that often intentionally talks on stage EXPECTING silence from the audience for so much of your bit? But then you STILL have to judge how well you're holding the audience based on what KIND of silence it is? Seems like a tough line to walk, and you consistently nail it
Yup. I love his delivery. So unique. Nothing I ever seen before. And he talks for a good min before his punchline and we listen so intently where any other comedian we would all be like. Punchline already? Lol

The silence in the room and the way he can sit in silence while telling a serious story and then drop a joke at the perfect time to keep the audience from feeling the silence is masterful, he’s probably one of the best storytelling comedians of the new generation bruh

If there is an afterlife, Norm is making that smug little smirky face and telling OJ welcome to the other side. Hell for OJ= spending eternity listening to Norm Macdonald tell endless murder jokes.
Oh man this is so good. There is a minute or two in the middle where you are talkiing about incels, and it is dead quiet. It isn't because you are not being funny, it is because everyone is just hanging on every word. It's thoughtful, and they are with you. And you are building that so when you want the laugh you want, it kills. Loved it all :)
That court house had to be the craziest place in America, you had OJ’s trial, Snoop and Malik’s murder trial, and the icing on the cake was Nate Dogg was also on trial for robbing some Taco Bell’s.

There are few comedians that I could listen to talking about literally any random subject and be engaged the whole time. Dave Chappelle, John Oliver, and now Josh Johnson. Give me a Ted talk about a random internet forum from the early 2000s? OK I'm listening.
I love how your sets are always fresh. When you came to Nashville, it was a unique set. You head off to Texas and it is another unique set with current events in your act. It's amazing to really have that flexibility as a comedian. Btw, I'm Taricus LOL! It was nice to meet ya in Nashville! ☺
Great job, as ever! You have the coolest ability to engage me fully into your story and a lot of times, I forget altogether that I'm waiting for a punch line. But then you wrap up the story and I'm rotfl! And it is always, always, always worth the wait.
Lots of ❤️ from Norway 🇳🇴. If I ever visit the US, I’m attending a show in person for sure.. love his growth since catfishing the kkk. No one does comedy like Josh, it’s soothing and hilarious at the same time.
That was awesome Josh. You have such a skill for breaking things down in an introspective way that illuminates the issues but balances on the line of controversy.
Excellent stuff. Very funny and thought-provoking. Contrary to what many people think, the only reason mothers usually get custody is because fathers usually don’t want it. When men fight for custody, they usually win. We live in a patriarchy that favors men, even in family court. That’s how systemic misogyny works. Contrary to what some people think, custody is not an exception to the rule of patriarchy.
Seriously just when I’m feeling completely horrible and hopeless and am positive nothing will make me smile the lord throws me an olive branch and I come across one of Josh Johnson’s videos... 😂🙏😂

I was at this show. It was amazing. Been waiting for Josh to come out here for a while. Can't wait for him to come back.
I found this routine so fascinating, as the gentleman has presented some very powerful social commentary amidst great humour.
i keep coming here for your masterful storytelling. You have such a grip on the audience's attention, even during moments you recollect your thoughts, they wouldn't dare to interrupt you.
i'm not even a native english speaker and yet i find this Absurdly entertaining.
Saw you on Daily Show - WAY TO GO! Keep climbing, bud!
I've been watching since "catfishing the KKK." LOVE YOU JOSH. I'm gonna do my hest to make it to your KC show!!
SAMEE ❤❤❤
I JUST WANT TO SAY - YOUR STORYTELLING IS BEAUTIFUL - I FIND MYSELF ENJOYING THE CROWD SILENT MOMENTS
submitting my prediction now: if the redpills golden boys Fresh & Fit find this, they're definitely gonna scream beligerently on stream 💀💀
"AGAIN"
OJ vowed to never rest until Nicole's killer was dead. He can finally rest in peace.
RIP Norm McDonald, if only he could have lived to see it.
If there is an afterlife, Norm is making that smug little smirky face and telling OJ welcome to the other side. Hell for OJ= spending eternity listening to Norm Macdonald tell endless murder jokes.
Tysm for reminding me of Norm McDonald. What a great comedian he was and wow was his OJ material hilarious
Norm’s OJ stuff was just so lazy and unfunny. There are so many better angles to come at the story than, “Norm think OJ killer.”
That was a pure admission of guilt
Oh man this is so good. There is a minute or two in the middle where you are talkiing about incels, and it is dead quiet. It isn't because you are not being funny, it is because everyone is just hanging on every word. It's thoughtful, and they are with you. And you are building that so when you want the laugh you want, it kills. Loved it all :)
The show was frickink AMAZING! We didn’t stop laughing all night LOL
is it just me or is josh cooking on a whole different level with these jokes.... and the delivery! perfecto mama mia!
0:24 Crowd wasted NO time! 😂
Yo Josh, you cannonballing into the Daily Show sideways is a blessing. Thank you dude! Keep telling your stories 🙂
That court house had to be the craziest place in America, you had OJ’s trial, Snoop and Malik’s murder trial, and the icing on the cake was Nate Dogg was also on trial for robbing some Taco Bell’s.
😅😅😅😅 the 90s! Ahĥhhhh. The West Coast! Memories ❤🤲🏽💫🥂
I find it hilarious and interesting that it seems that the Internet has collectively decided that O.J. Simpson definitely went to Hell
🤦🏿
Psst....it's probably because of the *checks notes* murder..
I love this guys comedy because it’s so funny but it’s also very deep and thought out!
"Dads woulda cooked" 😆😆😆
Wow only found Josh the other week and his great. Thanks for the laughs
Thanks for following
If you haven't already, check out his Daily Show appearances. He's really skilled on multiple forums.
Man, it's good to see my boy selling out shows and getting all the recognition!
9:45 the intonation on the "bruhs" is perfect kmao
Look at this young man! All grown up! Keep shining my boy!
Proud af to see my g where he belongs RUBBING COMMENTARY SHOULDERS WITH JON MFIN STEWART ON THE DAILY SHOWW🔥🔥🔥🔥
He was a writer for the Daily Show.
This dudenis going places in comedy. I love how he builds up this huge back story just to land the quickest simplest punchlines. "& thats pretty much how we get incels" fucken brilliant lol
Keep going kid you got the gift of wit
Yes. Wit is special and I wish I heard or read it more often.
ThisMf think OJ got merkd
@jennyhillman6941 tbh being he passed away in Vegas you never know😂😂😂
@@jennyhillman6941, who really cares? Didn't care when he got away with murder, you don't really think I care now? Let the devil take care of it.
@@erinmerlot8826 👀👀
Love that he is not in any hurry to get to the big punchline. Makes the laugh all the better when it comes. Terrific young comic!
Imagine going to a stand-up the day of. IMAGINE being a stand-up comedian the day of. I love Josh
these are getting me through a rough time, thank you for posting♥️
Just discovered you last week man, you're great! The way you captivate the crowd, slow it down, then drop a punchline is dope. Can't help wondering if Chappelle influenced your style
Look up his catfishing the KKK video. His comedy style has always been great, but it has evolved overtime.
3:22 In Hinduism, we believe that if a soul is supposed to go to hell, it would go to heaven first for a short while and vice versa. With that logic he could meet Nicole 🤷🏽♀️
Interesting, why is that? So they know what they could have had if they were better people?
@ninipanini11 Because they would have inadvertently done good things or bad things so, those actions are taken into account.
omg b-roll and location ID text ?? way to step up production, we see and appreciate you!
Thank you! Trying
I love his battle to not smile! That little "I'm not smiling" mission is endearing!
Josh has to be the most prolific comedian currently on the scene. Not only doing a topical half hour every week but publishing it? Absolutely amazing.
And having a full-time job on the daily show.
My favorite thing about Josh (other than his sense of humor) is how when he smiles after a joke its due to the crowd reaction, not because of his own joke! Wishing great things for Josh and his career!
I'm glad I found Josh. Never realize my jam is low key observational humor.
A conversation and brilliant comdey Josh.
This entire set works. I watched each as a clip. Than watched this. It is well thought out. Let's Go!
There are few comedians that I could listen to talking about literally any random subject and be engaged the whole time. Dave Chappelle, John Oliver, and now Josh Johnson. Give me a Ted talk about a random internet forum from the early 2000s? OK I'm listening.
Protect all 8 of them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brother you are KILLING IT!!!! You're doing career making work every week, I'm so glad to see you growing more famous 🔥🔥🔥
I'm really impressed with how you think and express the thoughts.
If I ever get to watch you perform live, I will not be holding myself accountable for how I’m gonna be laughing; you’re absolutely hilarious🤣🤣🤣🤣
Damn. I couldn't make any of your Austin shows & I'm crushed. But by God I will find a way to be in your audience. Thanks for the upload(s)!
Thank you Josh laughter is the best medicine.
Seriously just when I’m feeling completely horrible and hopeless and am positive nothing will make me smile the lord throws me an olive branch and I come across one of Josh Johnson’s videos... 😂🙏😂
Got tickets to see you in Denver in July 🎉🎉🎉👏🏽👏🏽 cant wait!!
Can’t wait for those shows. Denver is so fun
Josh made a Daredevil joke!! Yup, its official, he is my favorite comic!!
Bro, you've gotten so much better. Thank you, ur comedy is very refreshing. You like young-todays-refined Dave Chappelle.
Yes
Without the transphobia. 😊 Love Josh!
Josh is a story teller that takes you on a journey into the workings of his mind and we are all the better for it 😁
